1And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, wherewith the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
1เมื่อเยเรมีย์กล่าวถ้อยคำทั้งหมดของพระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของพวกเขา แก่ประชาชนทั้งหมดจบแล้ว คือถ้อยคำทั้งหมดนี้ที่พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของพวกเขา ส่งเขามาบอก
2then spoke Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah: 'Thou speakest falsely; the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say: Ye shall not go into Egypt to sojourn there;
2อาซาริยาห์ บุตรโฮชายาห์ โยฮานัน บุตรคาเรอาห์ และคนหยิ่งยโสทั้งหมด กล่าวกับเยเรมีย์ว่า “ท่านพูดเท็จ พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของพวกเรา ไม่ได้ส่งท่านมาบอกว่า ‘พวกเจ้าอย่าไปอาศัยในอียิปต์’
3but Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death, and carry us away captives to Babylon.'
3แต่บารุค บุตรเนริยาห์ ทำให้ท่านหันมาต่อต้านพวกเรา เพื่อมอบพวกเราไว้ในมือชาวเคลเดีย ให้พวกเขาฆ่าพวกเราหรือกวาดต้อนไปเป็นเชลยในบาบิโลน”
4So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, hearkened not to the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.
4โยฮานัน บุตรคาเรอาห์ ผู้บัญชาการกองกำลังทั้งหมด และประชาชนทั้งหมด จึงไม่เชื่อฟังเสียงพระยาห์เวห์ที่ให้พวกเขาอยู่ในดินแดนยูดาห์
5But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all the nations whither they had been driven to sojourn in the land of Judah:
5แต่โยฮานัน บุตรคาเรอาห์ และผู้บัญชาการกองกำลังทั้งหมด พาผู้ที่เหลืออยู่ของยูดาห์ทั้งหมด ซึ่งกลับมาอาศัยในดินแดนยูดาห์จากทุกชนชาติที่พวกเขาถูกขับไล่ไป
6the men, and the women, and the children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah;
6ทั้งผู้ชาย ผู้หญิง เด็ก ธิดาของกษัตริย์ และทุกคนที่เนบูซาระดาน ผู้บัญชาการทหารยาม ทิ้งไว้กับเกดาลิยาห์ บุตรอาหิคัม บุตรชาฟาน รวมทั้งเยเรมีย์ผู้เผยพระวจนะและบารุค บุตรเนริยาห์
7and they came into the land of Egypt; for they hearkened not to the voice of the LORD; and they came even to Tahpanhes.
7พวกเขาเข้ามาในดินแดนอียิปต์ เพราะไม่เชื่อฟังเสียงพระยาห์เวห์ และมาถึงทาปานเหส
8Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying:
8คำจากพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงเยเรมีย์ที่ทาปานเหสว่า
9'Take great stones in thy hand, and hide them in the mortar in the framework, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
9“จงเอาหินก้อนใหญ่ถือมา ซ่อนไว้ในปูนตรงส่วนที่ก่อด้วยอิฐ ตรงทางเข้าวังฟาโรห์ที่ทาปานเหส ต่อหน้าชาวยูดาห์
10and say unto them: Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
10บอกพวกเขาว่า พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล กล่าวดังนี้ ‘จงฟัง เราจะส่งคนไปรับเนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลน ผู้รับใช้ของเรา และตั้งบัลลังก์ของเขาบนหินเหล่านี้ที่เราซ่อนไว้ เขาจะกางพลับพลาของกษัตริย์เหนือหินเหล่านี้
11And he shall come, and shall smite the land of Egypt; such as are for death to death, and such as are for captivity to captivity, and such as are for the sword to the sword.
11เขาจะมาและตีดินแดนอียิปต์ ผู้ที่ถูกกำหนดให้ตายจะถูกฆ่า ผู้ที่ถูกกำหนดให้เป็นเชลยจะไปเป็นเชลย ผู้ที่ถูกกำหนดให้รับดาบจะรับดาบ
12And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives; and he shall fold up the land of Egypt, as a shepherd foldeth up his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.
12เราจะจุดไฟในวิหารของเทพเจ้าทั้งหลายแห่งอียิปต์ เขาจะเผาวิหารเหล่านั้นและกวาดต้อนเทพเจ้าเหล่านั้นไปเป็นเชลย เขาจะสวมดินแดนอียิปต์เหมือนผู้เลี้ยงแกะสวมเสื้อ แล้วออกจากที่นั่นอย่างสงบ
13He shall also break the pillars of Beth-shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of Egypt shall he burn with fire.'
13เขาจะหักเสาของเบธเชเมชในดินแดนอียิปต์ด้วย และเผาวิหารของเทพเจ้าทั้งหลายแห่งอียิปต์ด้วยไฟ’”
