1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying:
1คำจากพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงเยเรมีย์ว่า
2'Thus speaketh the LORD, the God of Israel, saying: Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
2“พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล กล่าวดังนี้ ‘จงเขียนถ้อยคำทั้งหมดที่เราบอกเจ้าไว้ในหนังสือ
3For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will turn the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.'
3เพราะดูเถิด วันเวลานั้นกำลังมาถึง’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว ‘เราจะฟื้นฟูประชาชนของเรา คืออิสราเอลและยูดาห์ จากการเป็นเชลย’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว ‘เราจะให้พวกเขากลับไปยังดินแดนที่เรามอบแก่บรรพบุรุษของพวกเขา และพวกเขาจะได้ครอบครองดินแดนนั้น’”
4And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
4ต่อไปนี้คือถ้อยคำที่พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวเกี่ยวกับอิสราเอลและยูดาห์
5For thus saith the LORD: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
5เพราะพระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “พวกเราได้ยินเสียงสั่นสะท้าน เสียงแห่งความกลัว ไม่ใช่เสียงแห่งความสงบสุข
6Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child; wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
6ลองถามดูเถิดว่า ผู้ชายเจ็บท้องคลอดลูกหรือ? ทำไมเราจึงเห็นผู้ชายทุกคนเอามือกุมเอว เหมือนผู้หญิงกำลังคลอดลูก และทุกคนหน้าซีด?
7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it; and it is a time of trouble unto Jacob, but out of it shall he be saved.
7อนิจจา วันนั้นยิ่งใหญ่ ไม่มีวันใดเหมือน! เป็นเวลาแห่งความทุกข์ของยาโคบ แต่เขาจะได้รับการช่วยให้รอดจากความทุกข์นั้น
8And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bands; and strangers shall no more make him their bondman;
8พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพกล่าวว่า ในวันนั้นเราจะหักแอกของเขาออกจากคอเจ้า และตัดสายรัดของเจ้าให้ขาด คนต่างชาติจะไม่จับพวกเขาเป็นทาสอีก
9But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
9แต่พวกเขาจะรับใช้พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของพวกเขา และดาวิด กษัตริย์ของพวกเขา ซึ่งเราจะตั้งขึ้นให้พวกเขา
10Therefore fear thou not, O Jacob My servant, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel; for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall again be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
10ดังนั้นยาโคบ ผู้รับใช้ของเรา อย่ากลัวเลย พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว อิสราเอล อย่าหวาดหวั่น เพราะดูเถิด เราจะช่วยเจ้าจากที่ห่างไกล และช่วยลูกหลานเจ้าจากดินแดนที่พวกเขาเป็นเชลย ยาโคบจะกลับมา จะสงบและอยู่อย่างสบาย ไม่มีใครทำให้เขากลัว
11For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; for I will correct thee in measure, and will not utterly destroy thee.
11เพราะเราอยู่กับเจ้าเพื่อช่วยเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว เราจะทำให้ทุกชนชาติที่เรากระจายเจ้าไปอยู่สูญสิ้น แต่เราจะไม่ทำให้เจ้าสูญสิ้น เราจะลงโทษแก้ไขเจ้าตามสมควร และจะไม่ปล่อยให้เจ้าพ้นโทษเป็นอันขาด”
12For thus saith the LORD: Thy hurt is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
12เพราะพระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “บาดแผลของเจ้ารักษาไม่หาย แผลของเจ้ารุนแรง
13None deemeth of thy wound that it may be bound up; thou hast no healing medicines.
13ไม่มีใครแก้ต่างให้เจ้า เพื่อเจ้าจะได้รับการพันแผล เจ้าไม่มียารักษา
14All thy lovers have forgotten thee, they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one; for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased.
14คนรักทั้งหมดของเจ้าลืมเจ้าแล้ว พวกเขาไม่มาตามหาเจ้า เพราะเราทำให้เจ้าบาดเจ็บอย่างศัตรูทำ ลงโทษเจ้าเยี่ยงคนโหดร้าย เพราะความผิดของเจ้ามากมาย เพราะบาปของเจ้าเพิ่มขึ้น
15Why criest thou for thy hurt, that thy pain is incurable? For the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
15ทำไมเจ้าจึงร้องไห้เพราะบาดแผลของตน? ความเจ็บปวดของเจ้ารักษาไม่หาย เพราะความผิดของเจ้ามากมาย เพราะบาปของเจ้าเพิ่มขึ้น เราจึงทำสิ่งเหล่านี้แก่เจ้า
16Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured, and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
16ดังนั้นทุกคนที่กลืนกินเจ้าจะถูกกลืนกิน ศัตรูทั้งหมดของเจ้า ทุกคน จะไปเป็นเชลย คนที่ปล้นเจ้าจะถูกปล้น เราจะทำให้ทุกคนที่ล่าเจ้าเป็นเหยื่อต้องกลายเป็นเหยื่อ
17For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they have called thee an outcast: 'She is Zion, there is none that careth for her.'
17เพราะเราจะคืนสุขภาพให้เจ้า และรักษาบาดแผลของเจ้า” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “เพราะพวกเขาเรียกเจ้าว่าผู้ถูกทอดทิ้ง พูดว่า ‘นี่คือศิโยนที่ไม่มีใครมาตามหา’”
18Thus saith the LORD: Behold, I will turn the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have compassion on his dwelling-places; and the city shall be builded upon her own mound, and the palace shall be inhabited upon its wonted place.
18พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวดังนี้ “จงฟัง เราจะฟื้นฟูกระโจมของยาโคบจากการเป็นเชลย และเมตตาสงสารที่อยู่อาศัยของเขา เมืองจะถูกสร้างขึ้นบนเนินเดิมของตน วังจะมีคนอาศัยในที่เดิม
19And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry; and I will multiply them, and they shall not be diminished, I will also increase them, and they shall not dwindle away.
19เสียงขอบคุณจะออกมาจากพวกเขา พร้อมเสียงของคนที่รื่นเริง เราจะเพิ่มจำนวนพวกเขา พวกเขาจะไม่เหลือน้อย เราจะให้พวกเขามีเกียรติด้วย พวกเขาจะไม่ต่ำต้อย
20Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before Me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
20ลูกหลานของพวกเขาจะเป็นเหมือนเมื่อก่อน ชุมนุมชนของพวกเขาจะตั้งมั่นอยู่ต่อหน้าเรา เราจะลงโทษทุกคนที่กดขี่พวกเขา
21And their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto Me; for who is he that hath pledged his heart to approach unto Me? saith the LORD.
21ผู้นำของพวกเขาจะเป็นคนหนึ่งในพวกเขา ผู้ปกครองจะมาจากท่ามกลางพวกเขา เราจะให้เขาเข้ามาใกล้ และเขาจะเข้ามาหาเรา เพราะใครเล่าที่กล้าเข้ามาหาเรา?” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
22And ye shall be My people, and I will be your God.
22“พวกเจ้าจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา และเราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า
23Behold, a storm of the LORD is gone forth in fury, a sweeping storm; it shall whirl upon the head of the wicked.
23ดูเถิด พายุของพระยาห์เวห์ คือความโกรธของพระองค์ ออกมาแล้ว เป็นพายุที่กวาดไป จะกระหน่ำลงบนศีรษะคนชั่ว
24The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until He have executed, and till He have performed the purposes of His heart; in the end of days ye shall consider it.
24ความโกรธเกรี้ยวของพระยาห์เวห์จะไม่หันกลับ จนกว่าพระองค์จะทำสำเร็จ จนกว่าพระองค์จะทำตามที่ตั้งใจไว้ ในวันเวลาภายหน้า พวกเจ้าจะเข้าใจเรื่องนี้”
