1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

2Now at that time the king of Babylon's army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah's house.

3For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying: 'Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say: Thus saith the LORD: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
3เพราะเศเดคียาห์ กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ ขังเขาไว้ กล่าวว่า “ทำไมท่านจึงเผยพระวจนะว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวดังนี้ “จงฟัง เราจะมอบเมืองนี้ไว้ในมือกษัตริย์บาบิโลน และเขาจะยึดเมืองนี้
4and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;
4เศเดคียาห์ กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ จะหนีไม่พ้นมือชาวเคลเดีย แต่จะถูกมอบไว้ในมือกษัตริย์บาบิโลนแน่ จะพูดกับเขาซึ่งหน้าและสบตาเขา
5and he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I remember him, saith the LORD; though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper?'
5เขาจะนำเศเดคียาห์ไปบาบิโลน และเศเดคียาห์จะอยู่ที่นั่นจนกว่าเราจะมาเอาใจใส่เขา” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “แม้พวกเจ้าต่อสู้กับชาวเคลเดีย พวกเจ้าก็จะไม่สำเร็จ”’?”
6And Jeremiah said: 'The word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
6เยเรมีย์กล่าวว่า “คำจากพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า
7Behold, Hanamel, the son of Shallum thine uncle, shall come unto thee, saying: Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.'
7‘จงฟัง ฮานาเมล บุตรชัลลูม ลุงของเจ้า จะมาหาเจ้าและพูดว่า “จงซื้อที่นาของฉันที่อานาโธท เพราะสิทธิ์ไถ่คืนด้วยการซื้อเป็นของท่าน”’”
8So Hanamel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me: 'Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself.' Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.
8“ฮานาเมล ลูกของลุงข้าพเจ้า จึงมาหาข้าพเจ้าที่ลานทหารยามตามคำจากพระยาห์เวห์ และบอกข้าพเจ้าว่า ‘โปรดซื้อที่นาของฉันที่อานาโธท ในดินแดนเบนยามิน เพราะสิทธิ์รับมรดกและสิทธิ์ไถ่คืนเป็นของท่าน จงซื้อไว้เป็นของท่านเอง’ “ข้าพเจ้าจึงรู้ว่านี่คือคำจากพระยาห์เวห์
9And I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel mine uncle's son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
9ข้าพเจ้าซื้อที่นาที่อานาโธทจากฮานาเมล ลูกของลุงข้าพเจ้า และชั่งเงินให้เขา เป็นเงินหนักสิบเจ็ดเชเขล
10And I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.
10ข้าพเจ้าลงชื่อในหนังสือสัญญา ประทับตรา เรียกพยาน และชั่งเงินให้เขาด้วยตาชั่ง
11So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and that which was open;
11แล้วข้าพเจ้ารับหนังสือสัญญาซื้อ ทั้งฉบับที่ประทับตราซึ่งมีข้อกำหนดและเงื่อนไข และฉบับที่เปิดไว้
12and I delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel mine uncle 's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the guard.
12ข้าพเจ้ามอบหนังสือสัญญาซื้อให้บารุค บุตรเนริยาห์ บุตรมาห์เสอาห์ ต่อหน้าฮานาเมล ลูกของลุงข้าพเจ้า และต่อหน้าพยานที่ลงชื่อในหนังสือสัญญาซื้อ ต่อหน้าชาวยิวทั้งหมดที่นั่งอยู่ในลานทหารยาม
13And I charged Baruch before them, saying:
13“ข้าพเจ้าสั่งบารุคต่อหน้าพวกเขาว่า
14'Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase, both that which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel; that they may continue many days.
14พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล กล่าวดังนี้ ‘จงเอาหนังสือสัญญาเหล่านี้ ทั้งหนังสือสัญญาซื้อฉบับที่ประทับตราและฉบับที่เปิดไว้ ใส่ในภาชนะดินเผา เพื่อให้เก็บรักษาได้นานวัน’
15For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land.'
15เพราะพระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล กล่าวดังนี้ ‘บ้าน ที่นา และสวนองุ่นจะมีการซื้อขายอีกในดินแดนนี้’
16Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying:
16หลังจากข้าพเจ้ามอบหนังสือสัญญาซื้อให้บารุค บุตรเนริยาห์แล้ว ข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐานต่อพระยาห์เวห์ว่า
17'Ah Lord GOD! behold, Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and by Thy outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for Thee;
17“โอ้ พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์! พระองค์สร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินด้วยกำลังอันยิ่งใหญ่และแขนที่เหยียดออกของพระองค์ ไม่มีสิ่งใดยากเกินไปสำหรับพระองค์
18who showest mercy unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God, the LORD of hosts is His name;
18พระองค์แสดงความรักมั่นคงแก่คนนับพัน และตอบแทนความผิดของบรรพบุรุษลงสู่อกของลูกหลานที่ตามมา พระเจ้าผู้ยิ่งใหญ่และทรงพลัง พระองค์มีนามว่าพระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ
19great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;
19พระองค์ยิ่งใหญ่ในการวางแผนและมีพลังในการทำงาน ดวงตาของพระองค์มองดูวิถีชีวิตทั้งหมดของมนุษย์ เพื่อตอบแทนแต่ละคนตามวิถีชีวิตและผลแห่งการกระทำของเขา
20who didst set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel and among other men; and madest Thee a name, as at this day;
20พระองค์ทำหมายสำคัญและการอัศจรรย์ในดินแดนอียิปต์ และทำต่อมาจนถึงวันนี้ ทั้งในอิสราเอลและท่ามกลางคนอื่น ๆ พระองค์สร้างชื่อเสียงให้ตัวเองอย่างที่เป็นอยู่วันนี้
21and didst bring forth Thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
21พระองค์นำประชาชนของพระองค์ คืออิสราเอล ออกจากดินแดนอียิปต์ ด้วยหมายสำคัญ การอัศจรรย์ มือที่แข็งแรง แขนที่เหยียดออก และความน่าสะพรึงกลัวอย่างยิ่ง
22and gavest them this land, which Thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
22พระองค์มอบดินแดนนี้ให้พวกเขา เป็นดินแดนที่มีน้ำนมและน้ำผึ้งไหลบริบูรณ์ ซึ่งพระองค์สาบานกับบรรพบุรุษของพวกเขาว่าจะมอบให้
23and they came in, and possessed it; but they hearkened not to Thy voice, neither walked in Thy law; they have done nothing of all that Thou commandedst them to do; therefore Thou hast caused all this evil to befall them;

24behold the mounds, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what Thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, Thou seest it.
24“นี่ มีการสร้างลาดดินล้อมโจมตีเมืองเพื่อยึดเมือง เมืองถูกมอบไว้ในมือชาวเคลเดียที่ต่อสู้กับเมืองนี้ เพราะดาบ ความอดอยาก และโรคระบาด สิ่งที่พระองค์กล่าวเกิดขึ้นแล้ว พระองค์ก็เห็นอยู่
25Yet Thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD: Buy thee the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.'
25พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ พระองค์บอกข้าพเจ้าว่า ‘จงใช้เงินซื้อที่นาและเรียกพยาน’ ทั้งที่เมืองถูกมอบไว้ในมือชาวเคลเดียแล้ว”
26Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying:
26แล้วคำจากพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงเยเรมีย์ว่า
27'Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is there any thing too hard for Me?
27“จงฟัง เราคือพระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของมนุษย์ทั้งปวง มีสิ่งใดยากเกินไปสำหรับเราหรือ?
28Therefore thus saith the LORD: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
28ดังนั้นพระยาห์เวห์จึงกล่าวดังนี้ จงฟัง เราจะมอบเมืองนี้ไว้ในมือชาวเคลเดีย และในมือเนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลน เขาจะยึดเมืองนี้
29and the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered unto Baal, and poured out drink-offerings unto other gods, to provoke Me.
29ชาวเคลเดียที่ต่อสู้กับเมืองนี้จะเข้ามาจุดไฟเผาเมือง เผาทั้งบ้านที่ผู้คนเผาเครื่องหอมแก่เทพบาอัลบนหลังคา และเทเครื่องดื่มบูชาแก่เทพเจ้าอื่น เพื่อยั่วให้เราโกรธ
30For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done that which was evil in My sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked Me with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.
30“เพราะชาวอิสราเอลและชาวยูดาห์ทำแต่สิ่งชั่วร้ายในสายตาเราตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ ชาวอิสราเอลเอาสิ่งที่มือพวกเขาทำมายั่วให้เราโกรธอยู่ร่ำไป พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
31For this city hath been to Me a provocation of Mine anger and of My fury from the day that they built it even unto this day, that I should remove it from before My face;
31เมืองนี้ยั่วโทสะและความโกรธของเรามาตั้งแต่วันที่พวกเขาสร้างมันจนถึงวันนี้ จนเราต้องกำจัดมันไปจากต่อหน้าเรา
32because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
32เพราะความชั่วทั้งหมดที่ชาวอิสราเอลและชาวยูดาห์ทำเพื่อยั่วให้เราโกรธ ทั้งตัวพวกเขา กษัตริย์ ขุนนาง ปุโรหิต ผู้เผยพระวจนะของพวกเขา ชาวยูดาห์และผู้คนที่อาศัยอยู่ในเยรูซาเล็ม
33And they have turned unto Me the back, and not the face; and though I taught them, teaching them betimes and often, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.

34But they set their abominations in the house whereupon My name is called, to defile it.

35And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to set apart their sons and their daughters unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into My mind, that they should do this abomination; to cause Judah to sin.

36And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say: It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:
36ดังนั้นบัดนี้ พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล กล่าวถึงเมืองนี้ ที่พวกเจ้าบอกว่า “เมืองถูกมอบไว้ในมือกษัตริย์บาบิโลนด้วยดาบ ความอดอยาก และโรคระบาด” ดังนี้
37Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, whither I have driven them in Mine anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them back unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely;
37“จงฟัง เราจะรวบรวมพวกเขาจากทุกดินแดนที่เราขับไล่พวกเขาไปด้วยโทสะ ความโกรธ และความขุ่นเคืองอย่างยิ่ง เราจะนำพวกเขากลับมาที่นี่ และให้พวกเขาอยู่อย่างปลอดภัย
38and they shall be My people, and I will be their God;
38แล้วพวกเขาจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา และเราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของพวกเขา
39and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me for ever; for the good of them, and of their children after them;
39เราจะให้พวกเขามีใจเดียวและวิถีทางเดียว เพื่อพวกเขาจะยำเกรงเราตลอดไป เพื่อประโยชน์ของพวกเขาและลูกหลานที่ตามมา
40and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me.
40เราจะทำพันธสัญญาที่คงอยู่ตลอดไปกับพวกเขา ว่าเราจะไม่หันหนีจากพวกเขา จะติดตามทำดีแก่พวกเขา เราจะใส่ความยำเกรงเราไว้ในใจพวกเขา เพื่อพวกเขาจะไม่จากเราไป
41Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land in truth with My whole heart and with My whole soul.
41จริงทีเดียว เราจะยินดีที่จะทำดีแก่พวกเขา และจะปลูกพวกเขาในดินแดนนี้อย่างมั่นคง ด้วยสุดใจและสุดจิตของเรา”
42For thus saith the LORD: Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
42เพราะพระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “เรานำภัยร้ายใหญ่หลวงทั้งหมดนี้มาสู่ประชาชนนี้อย่างไร เราจะนำสิ่งดีทั้งหมดที่เราสัญญาไว้มาสู่พวกเขาอย่างนั้น
43And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say: It is desolate, without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
43จะมีการซื้อขายที่นาในดินแดนนี้ ที่พวกเจ้าบอกว่า ‘รกร้าง ไม่มีคนหรือสัตว์ ถูกมอบไว้ในมือชาวเคลเดียแล้ว’
44Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the Lowland, and in the cities of the South; for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.'
44ผู้คนจะใช้เงินซื้อที่นา ลงชื่อในหนังสือสัญญา ประทับตรา และเรียกพยาน ทั้งในดินแดนเบนยามิน ในบริเวณรอบเยรูซาเล็ม ในเมืองต่าง ๆ ของยูดาห์ ในเมืองบนภูเขา ในเมืองที่ราบ และในเมืองทางใต้ เพราะเราจะฟื้นฟูพวกเขาจากการเป็นเชลย” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
