1...saying: If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, may he return unto her again? Will not that land be greatly polluted? But thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; and wouldest thou yet return to Me? saith the LORD.
1“มีคำกล่าวว่า ‘ถ้าชายคนหนึ่งหย่ากับภรรยา แล้วเธอจากไปเป็นภรรยาของชายอื่น เขาควรกลับไปหาเธออีกหรือ?’ แผ่นดินนั้นจะไม่แปดเปื้อนอย่างหนักหรือ? แต่เจ้าทำตัวเป็นโสเภณี คบคนรักมากมาย ถึงอย่างนั้นก็จงกลับมาหาเราอีก” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
2Lift up thine eyes unto the high hills, and see: Where hast thou not been lain with? By the ways hast thou sat for them, as an Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy harlotries and with thy wickedness.
2“เงยหน้ามองไปที่ยอดเขาโล่ง ๆ สิ มีที่ไหนบ้างที่เจ้าไม่เคยนอนกับใคร? เจ้าคอยพวกเขาอยู่ริมทาง เหมือนชาวอาหรับในถิ่นกันดาร เจ้าทำให้แผ่นดินแปดเปื้อนด้วยการเป็นโสเภณีและความชั่วของเจ้า
3Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there hath been no latter rain; yet thou hadst a harlot's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.
3เพราะฉะนั้น ฝนจึงถูกระงับไว้ ฝนปลายฤดูก็ไม่ตก แต่เจ้ากลับหน้าด้านเหมือนโสเภณี ไม่ยอมละอาย
4Didst thou not just now cry unto Me: 'My father, Thou art the friend of my youth.
4ตั้งแต่นี้ไป เจ้าจะไม่ร้องเรียกเราหรือว่า ‘พ่อของฉัน พระองค์เป็นผู้นำทางฉันมาตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์’?
5Will He bear grudge for ever? Will He keep it to the end?' Behold, thou hast spoken, but hast done evil things, and hast had thy way.
5“‘พระองค์จะโกรธตลอดไปหรือ? จะโกรธจนถึงที่สุดหรือ?’ ถึงอย่างนั้น เจ้าพูดเช่นนี้ แต่ก็ทำชั่วและทำตามใจตนเอง”
6And the LORD said unto me in the days of Josiah the king: 'Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel did? she went up upon every high mountain and under every leafy tree, and there played the harlot.
6ในรัชสมัยกษัตริย์โยสิยาห์ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “เจ้าเห็นสิ่งที่อิสราเอลผู้หันหลังให้เราทำหรือไม่? เธอขึ้นไปบนภูเขาสูงทุกแห่งและใต้ต้นไม้เขียวทุกต้น แล้วทำตัวเป็นโสเภณีที่นั่น
7And I said: After she hath done all these things, she will return unto me; but she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
7หลังจากเธอทำสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมด เราพูดว่า ‘เธอจะกลับมาหาเรา’ แต่เธอไม่กลับมา ยูดาห์พี่น้องผู้ทรยศของเธอก็เห็น
8And I saw, when, forasmuch as backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorcement, that yet treacherous Judah her sister feared not; but she also went and played the harlot;
8เราเห็นว่า แม้เราไล่อิสราเอลผู้หันหลังให้เราไป และให้หนังสือหย่าเพราะเธอมีชู้ ยูดาห์พี่น้องผู้ทรยศของเธอก็ยังไม่กลัว กลับไปทำตัวเป็นโสเภณีด้วย
9and it came to pass through the lightness of her harlotry, that the land was polluted, and she committed adultery with stones and with stocks;
9เพราะเธอเห็นการเป็นโสเภณีเป็นเรื่องเล็กน้อย แผ่นดินจึงแปดเปื้อน เธอมีชู้กับหินและไม้
10and yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not returned unto Me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD —
10ถึงอย่างนั้น ยูดาห์พี่น้องผู้ทรยศของเธอก็ไม่ได้กลับมาหาเราด้วยใจทั้งหมด เพียงแต่เสแสร้งเท่านั้น” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
11even the LORD said unto me — backsliding Israel hath proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.
11พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “อิสราเอลผู้หันหลังให้เรายังแสดงว่าตนเที่ยงธรรมกว่ายูดาห์ผู้ทรยศ
12Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; I will not frown upon you; for I am merciful, saith the LORD, I will not bear grudge for ever.
12จงไปประกาศถ้อยคำเหล่านี้ไปทางเหนือว่า ‘อิสราเอลผู้หันหลังให้เรา จงกลับมา’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว ‘เราจะไม่มองเจ้าด้วยความโกรธ เพราะเรามีเมตตา’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว ‘เราจะไม่โกรธตลอดไป
13Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every leafy tree, and ye have not hearkened to My voice, saith the LORD.
13เพียงแต่ยอมรับความผิดของเจ้า ว่าเจ้าละเมิดต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า เที่ยวไปหาคนแปลกหน้าตามทางต่าง ๆ ใต้ต้นไม้เขียวทุกต้น และไม่เชื่อฟังเสียงของเรา’” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
14Return, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am a lord unto you, and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion;
14“ลูกหลานผู้หันหลังให้เรา จงกลับมา” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “เพราะเราเป็นสามีของพวกเจ้า เราจะเลือกพวกเจ้าหนึ่งคนจากเมืองหนึ่ง และสองคนจากตระกูลหนึ่ง แล้วพามายังศิโยน
15and I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
15เราจะให้ผู้เลี้ยงที่ตรงกับใจเราแก่พวกเจ้า พวกเขาจะเลี้ยงพวกเจ้าด้วยความรู้และความเข้าใจ
16And it shall come to pass, when ye are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more: The ark of the covenant of the LORD; neither shall it come to mind; neither shall they make mention of it; neither shall they miss it; neither shall it be made any more.
16ในเวลานั้น เมื่อพวกเจ้าเพิ่มจำนวนขึ้นมากมายในแผ่นดิน” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “จะไม่มีใครพูดถึง ‘หีบพันธสัญญาของพระยาห์เวห์’ อีก ไม่มีใครนึกถึง จดจำ หรือคิดถึงมัน และจะไม่มีใครทำขึ้นมาอีก
17At that time they shall call Jerusalem The throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem; neither shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
17ในเวลานั้น เยรูซาเล็มจะได้ชื่อว่า ‘บัลลังก์ของพระยาห์เวห์’ ชนชาติทั้งหลายจะมารวมกันที่นั่น มาหาพระนามของพระยาห์เวห์ที่เยรูซาเล็ม พวกเขาจะไม่ทำตามความดื้อรั้นของใจชั่วอีก
18In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.'
18ในเวลานั้น ชนยูดาห์จะเดินร่วมกับชนอิสราเอล พวกเขาจะออกจากแผ่นดินทางเหนือมาด้วยกัน มาสู่แผ่นดินที่เราให้เป็นมรดกแก่บรรพบุรุษของพวกเจ้า
19But I said: 'How would I put thee among the sons, and give thee a pleasant land, the goodliest heritage of the nations!' And I said: 'Thou shalt call Me, My father; and shalt not turn away from following Me.'
19“เราพูดว่า ‘เราอยากให้เจ้าอยู่ในหมู่ลูก ๆ มากเพียงใด อยากให้แผ่นดินน่ารื่นรมย์แก่เจ้า เป็นมรดกงดงามของกองทัพชนชาติต่าง ๆ!’ และเราพูดว่า ‘เจ้าจะเรียกเราว่า “พ่อของฉัน” และจะไม่เลิกติดตามเรา’
20Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
20“ชนอิสราเอลเอ๋ย พวกเจ้าทรยศเราเหมือนภรรยาที่ทรยศจากสามีไป” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
21Hark! upon the high hills is heard the suppliant weeping of the children of Israel; for that they have perverted their way, they have forgotten the LORD their God.
21มีเสียงดังมาจากยอดเขาโล่ง ๆ เป็นเสียงร่ำไห้และวิงวอนของลูกหลานอิสราเอล เพราะพวกเขาบิดเบือนทางของตน ลืมพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของตน
22Return, ye backsliding children, I will heal your backslidings. — 'Here we are, we are come unto Thee; for Thou art the LORD our God.
22ลูกหลานผู้หันหลังให้เรา จงกลับมา เราจะรักษาพวกเจ้าให้หายจากการหันหลังให้เรา “นี่ พวกเรามาหาพระองค์แล้ว เพราะพระองค์คือพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเรา
23Truly vain have proved the hills, the uproar on the mountains; truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.
23ความช่วยเหลือจากเนินเขาและเสียงอึกทึกบนภูเขานั้นเปล่าประโยชน์จริง ๆ ความรอดของอิสราเอลอยู่ในพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเราจริง ๆ
24But the shameful thing hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
24แต่สิ่งน่าอับอายนั้นกลืนกินผลจากแรงงานของบรรพบุรุษของพวกเรามาตั้งแต่พวกเรายังเด็ก ทั้งฝูงแพะแกะ ฝูงวัว ลูกชายและลูกสาว
25Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day; and we have not hearkened to the voice of the LORD our God.'
25ให้พวกเรานอนลงในความอับอาย ให้ความอดสูคลุมพวกเรา เพราะพวกเราทำบาปต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเรา ทั้งพวกเราและบรรพบุรุษ ตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์จนถึงวันนี้ พวกเราไม่เชื่อฟังเสียงของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเรา”
