1In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying:
1ในช่วงต้นรัชกาลเยโฮยาคิม บุตรโยสิยาห์ กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ คำนี้จากพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงเยเรมีย์ว่า
2'Thus saith the LORD to me: Make thee bands and bars, and put them upon thy neck;
2พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวกับข้าพเจ้าดังนี้ “จงทำสายรัดและคานแอก แล้วสวมไว้ที่คอของเจ้า
3and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers that come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
3จากนั้นส่งไปให้กษัตริย์เอโดม กษัตริย์โมอับ กษัตริย์ชาวอัมโมน กษัตริย์ไทระ และกษัตริย์ไซดอน โดยฝากไปกับผู้ส่งสารที่มาเยรูซาเล็มเพื่อเข้าเฝ้าเศเดคียาห์ กษัตริย์ยูดาห์
4and give them a charge unto their masters, saying: Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Thus shall ye say unto your masters:
4ให้คำสั่งแก่พวกเขาเพื่อนำไปบอกนายของตนว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล กล่าวดังนี้ “จงบอกนายของพวกเจ้าว่า
5I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the face of the earth, by My great power and by My outstretched arm; and I give it unto whom it seemeth right unto Me.
5‘เราเป็นผู้สร้างแผ่นดิน มนุษย์ และสัตว์ที่อยู่บนพื้นแผ่นดิน ด้วยกำลังอันยิ่งใหญ่และแขนที่เหยียดออกของเรา เรามอบแผ่นดินให้ผู้ที่เราเห็นว่าสมควร
6And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant; and the beasts of the field also have I given him to serve him.
6บัดนี้เรามอบดินแดนทั้งหมดนี้ไว้ในมือเนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลน ผู้รับใช้ของเรา และมอบสัตว์ในทุ่งให้รับใช้เขาด้วย
7And all the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land come; and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondman.
7ทุกชนชาติจะรับใช้เขา ลูกชายของเขา และหลานชายของเขา จนแผ่นดินของเขาเองถึงคราว แล้วหลายชนชาติและกษัตริย์ผู้ยิ่งใหญ่จะจับเขาเป็นทาส
8And it shall come to pass, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I visit, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
8“‘“‘ชนชาติหรืออาณาจักรใดไม่ยอมรับใช้เนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลนผู้นี้ และไม่ยอมเอาคอตนไว้ใต้แอกของกษัตริย์บาบิโลน เราจะลงโทษชนชาตินั้นด้วยดาบ ความอดอยาก และโรคระบาด’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว ‘จนเราทำลายพวกเขาผ่านมือของเขาจนหมดสิ้น
9But as for you, hearken ye not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, that speak unto you, saying: Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon;
9ส่วนพวกเจ้า อย่าฟังผู้เผยพระวจนะของพวกเจ้า ผู้ทำนายของพวกเจ้า ความฝันของพวกเจ้า หมอดูของพวกเจ้า หรือหมอผีของพวกเจ้า ที่บอกว่า “พวกเจ้าจะไม่ต้องรับใช้กษัตริย์บาบิโลน”
10for they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out and ye should perish.
10เพราะพวกเขาเผยพระวจนะเท็จแก่พวกเจ้า เป็นเหตุให้พวกเจ้าต้องไปไกลจากดินแดนของตน ให้เราขับไล่พวกเจ้าออกไป และพวกเจ้าจะพินาศ
11But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation will I let remain in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.'
11แต่ชนชาติที่ยอมเอาคอตนไว้ใต้แอกของกษัตริย์บาบิโลนและรับใช้เขา เราจะให้ชนชาตินั้นอยู่ในดินแดนของตนต่อไป’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว ‘พวกเขาจะเพาะปลูกและอาศัยอยู่ที่นั่น’”’”
12And I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying: 'Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
12ข้าพเจ้ากล่าวถ้อยคำทั้งหมดนี้กับเศเดคียาห์ กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ว่า “จงเอาคอของพวกท่านไว้ใต้แอกของกษัตริย์บาบิโลน รับใช้เขาและประชาชนของเขา แล้วจะมีชีวิตอยู่
13Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
13ทำไมท่านและประชาชนของท่านจะต้องตายด้วยดาบ ความอดอยาก และโรคระบาด อย่างที่พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวไว้เกี่ยวกับชนชาติที่ไม่ยอมรับใช้กษัตริย์บาบิโลน?
14And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying: Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon, for they prophesy a lie unto you.
14อย่าฟังถ้อยคำของผู้เผยพระวจนะที่บอกพวกท่านว่า ‘พวกท่านจะไม่ต้องรับใช้กษัตริย์บาบิโลน’ เพราะพวกเขาเผยพระวจนะเท็จแก่พวกท่าน
15For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, and they prophesy falsely in My name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.'
15พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า ‘เราไม่ได้ส่งพวกเขามา แต่พวกเขาเผยพระวจนะเท็จในนามเรา เป็นเหตุให้เราขับไล่พวกเจ้าออกไป และพวกเจ้าจะพินาศ ทั้งพวกเจ้าและผู้เผยพระวจนะที่เผยพระวจนะแก่พวกเจ้า’”
16Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying: 'Thus saith the LORD: Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying: Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought back from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you.
16ข้าพเจ้ากล่าวกับปุโรหิตและประชาชนทั้งหมดนี้ด้วยว่า พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวดังนี้ “อย่าฟังถ้อยคำของผู้เผยพระวจนะของพวกเจ้า ที่เผยพระวจนะแก่พวกเจ้าว่า ‘จงฟัง อีกไม่นานภาชนะเครื่องใช้ในพระนิเวศของพระยาห์เวห์จะถูกนำกลับจากบาบิโลน’ เพราะพวกเขาเผยพระวจนะเท็จแก่พวกเจ้า
17Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live; wherefore should this city become desolate?
17อย่าฟังพวกเขา จงรับใช้กษัตริย์บาบิโลน แล้วจะมีชีวิตอยู่ ทำไมเมืองนี้จะต้องกลายเป็นที่รกร้าง?
18But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
18แต่หากพวกเขาเป็นผู้เผยพระวจนะ และมีคำจากพระยาห์เวห์อยู่กับพวกเขา ก็ให้พวกเขาวิงวอนต่อพระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ เพื่อภาชนะเครื่องใช้ที่เหลืออยู่ในพระนิเวศของพระยาห์เวห์ ในวังของกษัตริย์ยูดาห์ และในเยรูซาเล็ม จะไม่ต้องไปบาบิโลน
19For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,
19เพราะพระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพกล่าวถึงเสาทั้งหลาย อ่างทะเล ฐานทั้งหลาย และภาชนะเครื่องใช้ที่เหลืออยู่ในเมืองนี้
20which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
20ซึ่งเนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลน ไม่ได้นำไปเมื่อเขากวาดต้อนเยโคนิยาห์ บุตรเยโฮยาคิม กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ จากเยรูซาเล็มไปเป็นเชลยในบาบิโลน พร้อมกับขุนนางทั้งหมดของยูดาห์และเยรูซาเล็ม
21yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:
21จริงทีเดียว พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล กล่าวถึงภาชนะเครื่องใช้ที่เหลืออยู่ในพระนิเวศของพระยาห์เวห์ ในวังของกษัตริย์ยูดาห์ และในเยรูซาเล็มดังนี้
22They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I remember them, saith the LORD, and bring them up, and restore them to this place.'
22‘สิ่งเหล่านี้จะถูกนำไปบาบิโลน และจะอยู่ที่นั่นจนถึงวันที่เรามาเอาใจใส่สิ่งเหล่านี้’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว ‘แล้วเราจะนำกลับขึ้นมาและคืนไว้ที่นี่’”
