1Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the guard, saying:
1คำจากพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงเยเรมีย์เป็นครั้งที่สอง ขณะเขายังถูกขังในลานทหารยาม โดยกล่าวว่า
2Thus saith the LORD the Maker thereof, the LORD that formed it to establish it, the LORD is His name:
2“พระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทำสิ่งนั้น พระยาห์เวห์ผู้ก่อรูปเพื่อให้สิ่งนั้นตั้งมั่น ผู้มีนามว่าพระยาห์เวห์ กล่าวดังนี้
3Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and will tell thee great things, and hidden, which thou knowest not.
3‘จงร้องเรียกเรา เราจะตอบเจ้า และให้เจ้าเห็นสิ่งยิ่งใหญ่และยากที่เจ้าไม่รู้’
4For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down for mounds, and for ramparts;
4เพราะพระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล กล่าวถึงบ้านในเมืองนี้และวังของกษัตริย์ยูดาห์ ซึ่งถูกรื้อเพื่อทำแนวป้องกันลาดดินและดาบดังนี้
5whereon they come to fight with the Chaldeans, even to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in Mine anger and in My fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid My face from this city:
5‘ขณะที่ผู้คนเข้ามาต่อสู้กับชาวเคลเดีย และทำให้บ้านเหล่านั้นเต็มไปด้วยศพคนที่เราฆ่าด้วยโทสะและความโกรธของเรา เพราะความชั่วทั้งหมดของคนเหล่านั้น เราจึงซ่อนหน้าจากเมืองนี้
6Behold, I will bring it healing and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
6จงฟัง เราจะนำสุขภาพและการเยียวยามาสู่เมือง เราจะรักษาพวกเขา และเปิดเผยความสงบสุขกับความจริงอย่างอุดมแก่พวกเขา
7And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
7เราจะฟื้นฟูความเป็นอยู่ของยูดาห์และอิสราเอล และสร้างพวกเขาขึ้นอย่างครั้งแรก
8And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against Me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against Me, and whereby they have transgressed against Me.
8เราจะชำระพวกเขาจากความผิดทั้งหมดที่พวกเขาทำบาปต่อเรา เราจะให้อภัยความผิดทั้งหมดที่พวกเขาทำบาปและล่วงละเมิดต่อเรา
9And this city shall be to Me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure unto it.
9เมืองนี้จะทำให้เรามีชื่อเสียงเป็นที่ยินดี ได้รับคำสรรเสริญและเกียรติ ต่อหน้าทุกชนชาติบนแผ่นดิน ชนชาติเหล่านั้นจะได้ยินถึงสิ่งดีทั้งหมดที่เราทำแก่พวกเขา จะกลัวและสั่นสะท้านเพราะสิ่งดีและความสงบสุขทั้งหมดที่เรามอบแก่เมืองนี้’”
10Thus saith the LORD: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, whereof ye say: It is waste, without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast,
10พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “ในที่นี้ ที่พวกเจ้าบอกว่า ‘รกร้าง ไม่มีคนหรือสัตว์ ทั้งในเมืองต่าง ๆ ของยูดาห์และตามถนนในเยรูซาเล็มที่รกร้าง ไม่มีคน ไม่มีผู้อาศัย และไม่มีสัตว์’ จะได้ยินอีก
11the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that say: 'Give thanks to the LORD of hosts, for the LORD is good, for His mercy endureth for ever', even of them that bring offerings of thanksgiving into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, saith the LORD.
11คือเสียงยินดีและเสียงรื่นเริง เสียงเจ้าบ่าวและเสียงเจ้าสาว เสียงของผู้ที่กล่าวว่า ‘จงขอบคุณพระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ เพราะพระยาห์เวห์ดี ความรักมั่นคงของพระองค์ดำรงอยู่ตลอดไป’ ผู้ที่นำคำขอบคุณเข้ามาในพระนิเวศของพระยาห์เวห์ เพราะเราจะฟื้นฟูดินแดนจากการเป็นเชลยให้เป็นเหมือนครั้งแรก” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
12Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
12พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพกล่าวว่า “ในที่นี้ที่รกร้าง ไม่มีคนหรือสัตว์ และในทุกเมืองของที่นี่ จะมีที่อยู่ของผู้เลี้ยงแกะให้ฝูงของตนนอนพักอีก
13In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the Lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him that counteth them, saith the LORD.
13ในเมืองบนภูเขา ในเมืองที่ราบ ในเมืองทางใต้ ในดินแดนเบนยามิน ในบริเวณรอบเยรูซาเล็ม และในเมืองต่าง ๆ ของยูดาห์ ฝูงแกะจะผ่านใต้มือผู้นับอีกครั้ง” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
14Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.
14“จงฟัง วันเวลานั้นกำลังมาถึง” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “เราจะทำให้คำสัญญาดีที่เรากล่าวถึงพงศ์พันธุ์อิสราเอลและพงศ์พันธุ์ยูดาห์เป็นจริง
15In those days, and at that time, will I cause a shoot of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
15“ในวันเหล่านั้นและในเวลานั้น เราจะให้กิ่งที่เที่ยงธรรมงอกขึ้นแก่ดาวิด เขาจะนำความยุติธรรมและความเที่ยงธรรมมาใช้ในดินแดน
16In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name whereby she shall be called, the LORD is our righteousness.
16ในวันเวลานั้นยูดาห์จะได้รับการช่วยให้รอด และเยรูซาเล็มจะอยู่อย่างปลอดภัย นี่คือนามที่จะใช้เรียกเธอ พระยาห์เวห์คือความเที่ยงธรรมของพวกเรา”
17For thus saith the LORD: There shall not be cut off unto David a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
17เพราะพระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “ดาวิดจะไม่ขาดคนมานั่งบนบัลลังก์ของพงศ์พันธุ์อิสราเอลเลย
18neither shall there be cut off unto the priests the Levites a man before Me to offer burnt-offerings, and to burn meal-offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
18ปุโรหิตชาวเลวีจะไม่ขาดคนอยู่ต่อหน้าเราเพื่อถวายเครื่องบูชาเผา เผาเครื่องบูชาธัญพืช และถวายเครื่องบูชาต่อเนื่องไป”
19And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying:
19คำจากพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงเยเรมีย์ว่า
20Thus saith the LORD: If ye can break My covenant with the day, and My covenant with the night, so that there should not be day and night in their season;
20“พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวดังนี้ ‘หากพวกเจ้าทำลายพันธสัญญาของเราเกี่ยวกับกลางวัน และพันธสัญญาของเราเกี่ยวกับกลางคืนได้ จนกลางวันและกลางคืนไม่มาตามเวลา
21Then may also My covenant be broken with David My servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, My ministers.
21พันธสัญญาของเรากับดาวิด ผู้รับใช้ของเรา ก็อาจถูกทำลายได้ด้วย จนเขาจะไม่มีลูกชายครองบัลลังก์ของเขา และพันธสัญญากับปุโรหิตชาวเลวี ผู้ปรนนิบัติเรา ก็อาจถูกทำลายได้ด้วย
22As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David My servant, and the Levites that minister unto Me.
22กองทัพบนท้องฟ้านับไม่ได้ และทรายในทะเลวัดไม่ได้อย่างไร เราจะเพิ่มจำนวนลูกหลานของดาวิด ผู้รับใช้ของเรา และชาวเลวีผู้ปรนนิบัติเราอย่างนั้น’”
23And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying:
23คำจากพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงเยเรมีย์ว่า
24'Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying: The two families which the LORD did choose, He hath cast them off? and they contemn My people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
24“อย่าใส่ใจกับสิ่งที่ประชาชนนี้พูดว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์ทอดทิ้งสองตระกูลที่พระองค์เลือกแล้วหรือ?’ พวกเขาดูหมิ่นประชาชนของเราอย่างนี้ จนไม่ถือว่าประชาชนของเราเป็นชนชาติอีกต่อไปต่อหน้าพวกเขา”
25Thus saith the LORD: If My covenant be not with day and night, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
25พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “หากพันธสัญญาของเราเกี่ยวกับกลางวันและกลางคืนล้มเหลว หากเราไม่ได้กำหนดระเบียบของฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดิน
26then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David My servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have compassion on them.'
26เมื่อนั้นเราก็จะทอดทิ้งลูกหลานของยาโคบและของดาวิด ผู้รับใช้ของเรา จนเราจะไม่เลือกคนจากลูกหลานของเขามาปกครองลูกหลานของอับราฮัม อิสอัค และยาโคบ เพราะเราจะฟื้นฟูพวกเขาจากการเป็นเชลย และเมตตาพวกเขา”
