1Unto the end, in verses. A psalm for David.
1Hỡi Đức Chúa Trời của sự công bình tôi, Khi tôi kêu cầu, xin hãy đáp lời tôi. Khi tôi bị gian truân Ngài để tôi trong nơi rộng rãi; Xin hãy thương xót tôi, và nghe lời cầu nguyện tôi.
2When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
2Hỡi các con loài người, sự vinh hiển ta sẽ bị sỉ nhục cho đến chừng nào? Các ngươi sẽ ưa mến điều hư không, Và tìm sự dối trá cho đến bao giờ?
3O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?
3Phải biết rằng Đức Giê-hô-va đã để riêng cho mình người nhân đức. Khi ta kêu cầu Đức Giê-hô-va, ắt Ngài sẽ nghe lời ta.
4Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.
4Các ngươi khá e sợ, chớ phạm tội; Trên giường mình hãy suy gẫm trong lòng, và làm thinh.
5Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
5Hãy dâng sự công bình làm của lễ Và để lòng tin cậy nơi Đức Giê-hô-va.
6Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?
6Nhiều người nói: Ai sẽ cho chúng ta thấy phước? Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, xin soi trên chúng tôi sự sáng mặt Ngài.
7The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.
7Chúa khiến lòng tôi vui mừng nhiều hơn chúng nó, Dầu khi chúng nó có lúa mì và rượu nho dư dật.
8By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.
8Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, tôi sẽ nằm và ngủ bình an; Vì chỉ một mình Ngài làm cho tôi được ở yên ổn.
9In peace in the selfsame I will sleep, and I will rest:
