1Unto the end, in verses. A psalm for David.
1Přednímu zpěváku na neginot, žalm Davidův.
2When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
2Když volám, vyslyš mne, Bože spravedlnosti mé. Ty jsi mi v úzkosti prostranství způsoboval, smiluj se nade mnou, a vyslyš modlitbu mou.
3O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?
3Synové lidští, dokudž sláva má v potupě bude? Dlouho-liž marnost milovati a lži hledati budete? Sélah.
4Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.
4Vězte, žeť jest oddělil Hospodin sobě milého. Vyslyšíť mne Hospodin, když k němu volati budu.
5Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
5Uleknětež se a nehřešte, přemyšlujte o tom v srdci svém, na ložci svém, a umlkněte. Sélah.
6Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?
6Obětujte oběti spravedlnosti, a doufejte v Hospodina.
7The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.
7Mnozí říkají: Ó bychom viděti mohli dobré věci. Hospodine, pozdvihni nad námi jasného oblíčeje svého,
8By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.
8I způsobíš radost v srdci mém větší, než oni mívají, když obilé a víno jejich se obrodí.
9In peace in the selfsame I will sleep, and I will rest:
9Jáť u pokoji i lehnu i spáti budu; nebo ty, Hospodine, sám způsobíš mi bydlení bezpečné.
10For thou, O Lord, singularly hast settled me in hope.
