1Often have they fought against me from my youth, let Israel now say.
1Píseň stupňů. Blahoslavený každý, kdo se bojí Hospodina, a chodí po cestách jeho.
2Often have they fought against me from my youth: but they could not prevail over me.
2Nebo z práce rukou svých živnost míti budeš, blahoslavený budeš, a štastněť se povede.
3The wicked have wrought upon my back: they have lengthened their iniquity.
3Manželka tvá jako vinný kmen plodný po bocích domu tvého, dítky tvé jako mladistvé olivoví vůkol stolu tvého.
4The Lord who is just will cut the necks of sinners:
4Aj, takovéť bude míti požehnání muž bojící se Hospodina.
5Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Sion.
5Požehnání tobě uděliž Hospodin z Siona, a ty spatřuj dobré věci Jeruzaléma po všecky dny života svého;
6Let them be as grass on the tops of houses: which withered before it be plucked up:
6A viz syny synů svých, a pokoj nad Izraelem.
7Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand: nor he that gathereth sheaves his bosom.
