1The wilderness and the parched land shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
1ถิ่นกันดารและแผ่นดินแห้งจะยินดี ทะเลทรายจะรื่นเริง ผลิดอกเหมือนกุหลาบ
2It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice, even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon; they shall see the glory of the LORD, the excellency of our God.
2จะผลิดอกมากมาย รื่นเริงด้วยความยินดีและเสียงเพลง จะได้รับความรุ่งโรจน์ของเลบานอน ความงดงามของคารเมลและชาโรน พวกเขาจะเห็นความรุ่งโรจน์ของพระยาห์เวห์ ความงดงามของพระเจ้าของพวกเรา
3Strengthen ye the weak hands, and make firm the tottering knees.
3จงเสริมกำลังมือที่อ่อนแรง ทำเข่าที่อ่อนให้มั่นคง
4Say to them that are of a fearful heart: 'Be strong, fear not'; behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God He will come and save you.
4บอกคนที่ใจกลัวว่า “จงเข้มแข็ง อย่ากลัว! ดูเถิด พระเจ้าของพวกคุณจะมาแก้แค้น มาตอบแทน พระองค์จะมาช่วยพวกคุณให้รอด
5Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
5แล้วตาคนตาบอดจะเปิด หูคนหูหนวกจะได้ยิน
6Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
6คนขาพิการจะกระโดดเหมือนกวาง ลิ้นคนใบ้จะร้องเพลง เพราะน้ำจะผุดในถิ่นกันดาร ลำธารจะไหลในทะเลทราย
7And the parched land shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the habitation of jackals herds shall lie down, it shall be an enclosure for reeds and rushes.
7ทรายร้อนจะเป็นแอ่งน้ำ ดินกระหายจะเป็นน้ำพุ ที่สุนัขจิ้งจอกเคยนอน จะมีหญ้า อ้อ และกก
8And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those; the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err therein.
8ที่นั่นจะมีถนน มีทาง เรียกว่า ‘ทางบริสุทธิ์’ คนไม่บริสุทธิ์จะไม่ผ่าน แต่จะเป็นทางสำหรับผู้เดินในทางนั้น คนโง่ชั่วร้ายจะไม่ไปที่นั่น
9No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up thereon, they shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there;
9จะไม่มีสิงโต ไม่มีสัตว์ล่าเหยื่อขึ้นไป จะไม่พบพวกมันที่นั่น แต่ผู้ได้รับการไถ่จะเดินที่นั่น
10And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion, and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
10ผู้ที่พระยาห์เวห์ไถ่ไว้จะกลับมา มาศิโยนพร้อมเสียงเพลง ความยินดีนิรันดร์จะอยู่บนศีรษะของพวกเขา พวกเขาจะได้รับความชื่นบานและความยินดี ความเศร้าและเสียงถอนใจจะหนีไป”
