1Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a horn, and declare unto My people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins.
1“จงร้องตะโกน อย่ายั้งเสียง! จงเปล่งเสียงเหมือนแตร! บอกประชากรของเราถึงการไม่เชื่อฟังของพวกเขา และบอกเชื้อสายยาโคบถึงบาปของพวกเขา
2Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways; as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of Me righteous ordinances, they delight to draw near unto God.
2ถึงกระนั้น พวกเขาแสวงหาเราทุกวัน และชื่นชอบที่จะรู้ทางของเรา เหมือนชนชาติที่ทำสิ่งเที่ยงธรรม และไม่ละทิ้งข้อกำหนดของพระเจ้าของตน พวกเขาขอคำตัดสินที่เที่ยงธรรมจากเรา ชื่นชอบที่จะเข้ามาใกล้พระเจ้า
3'Wherefore have we fasted, and Thou seest not? Wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and Thou takest no knowledge?' — Behold, in the day of your fast ye pursue your business, and exact all your labours.
3พวกเขาพูดว่า ‘ทำไมพวกเราอดอาหารแล้วพระองค์ไม่เห็น? ทำไมพวกเราทำให้ตนทุกข์ยากแล้วพระองค์ไม่ใส่ใจ?’ “ดูเถิด ในวันที่พวกเจ้าอดอาหาร พวกเจ้าหาความพอใจของตน และกดขี่คนงานทั้งหมดของตน
4Behold, ye fast for strife and contention, and to smite with the fist of wickedness; ye fast not this day so as to make your voice to be heard on high.
4ดูเถิด พวกเจ้าอดอาหารเพื่อทะเลาะและต่อสู้กัน และชกต่อยด้วยหมัดอันชั่วร้าย การอดอาหารอย่างที่พวกเจ้าทำวันนี้จะไม่ทำให้เสียงของพวกเจ้าไปถึงเบื้องบน
5Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
5นี่หรือคือการอดอาหารที่เราเลือก? เป็นวันที่มนุษย์ถ่อมตนหรือ? คือการก้มศีรษะเหมือนต้นอ้อ และปูผ้ากระสอบกับขี้เถ้าใต้ตัวหรือ? พวกเจ้าจะเรียกสิ่งนี้ว่าการอดอาหาร และเป็นวันที่พระยาห์เวห์ยอมรับหรือ?
6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the fetters of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
6“การอดอาหารที่เราเลือกไม่ใช่เช่นนี้หรือ คือปลดพันธนาการแห่งความชั่ว แก้สายรัดแอก ปล่อยผู้ถูกกดขี่ให้เป็นอิสระ และหักแอกทุกอัน?
7Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him, and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
7ไม่ใช่การแบ่งขนมปังให้ผู้หิวโหย และนำคนยากจนที่ถูกขับไล่เข้าบ้านของเจ้าหรือ? เมื่อเห็นคนเปลือยกาย ก็ให้เสื้อผ้าแก่เขา และไม่หลบหน้าจากเลือดเนื้อเชื้อไขของตนหรือ?
8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy healing shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee, the glory of the LORD shall be thy rearward.
8แล้วแสงของเจ้าจะพุ่งออกเหมือนรุ่งเช้า และการรักษาของเจ้าจะปรากฏโดยเร็ว ความเที่ยงธรรมของเจ้าจะเดินนำหน้า และความรุ่งโรจน์ของพระยาห์เวห์จะคุ้มกันข้างหลังเจ้า
9Then shalt thou call, and the LORD will answer; thou shalt cry, and He will say: 'Here I am.' If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedness;
9แล้วเจ้าจะร้องเรียก และพระยาห์เวห์จะตอบ เจ้าจะร้องขอความช่วยเหลือ และพระองค์จะกล่าวว่า ‘เราอยู่นี่’ “ถ้าเจ้าเอาแอกออกจากท่ามกลางพวกเจ้า เลิกชี้นิ้วกล่าวหา และเลิกพูดชั่วร้าย
10And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thy gloom be as the noon-day;
10ถ้าเจ้าทุ่มใจให้ผู้หิวโหย และทำให้ผู้ทุกข์ยากอิ่มใจ แล้วแสงของเจ้าจะขึ้นในความมืด และความมืดทึบของเจ้าจะเป็นเหมือนเวลาเที่ยง
11And the LORD will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
11พระยาห์เวห์จะนำเจ้าอยู่เสมอ ทำให้ชีวิตของเจ้าอิ่มในที่แห้งแล้ง และทำให้กระดูกของเจ้าแข็งแรง เจ้าจะเป็นเหมือนสวนที่มีน้ำรด เหมือนน้ำพุ ที่น้ำไม่ขาด
12And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places, thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in.
12คนที่มาจากเจ้าจะสร้างพื้นที่ร้างเก่าแก่ขึ้นใหม่ เจ้าจะยกรากฐานของหลายชั่วรุ่นขึ้น เจ้าจะได้ชื่อว่าผู้ซ่อมช่องโหว่ ผู้ฟื้นฟูทางให้มีที่อยู่อาศัย
13If thou turn away thy foot because of the sabbath, from pursuing thy business on My holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, and the holy of the LORD honourable; and shalt honour it, not doing thy wonted ways, nor pursuing thy business, nor speaking thereof;
13“ถ้าเจ้ายั้งเท้าไว้จากวันสะบาโต ไม่ทำตามความพอใจของตนในวันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเรา เรียกวันสะบาโตว่าวันแห่งความยินดี เรียกวันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของพระยาห์เวห์ว่าวันที่ควรให้เกียรติ และให้เกียรติวันนั้น ไม่ทำตามทางของตน ไม่หาความพอใจของตน และไม่พูดตามใจตน
14Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD, and I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father; for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
14แล้วเจ้าจะชื่นชมยินดีในพระยาห์เวห์ เราจะให้เจ้าขี่ไปบนที่สูงของแผ่นดิน และให้เจ้ากินมรดกของยาโคบพ่อของเจ้า” เพราะปากของพระยาห์เวห์กล่าวไว้แล้ว
