1For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, every stay of bread, and every stay of water;
1จงดูเถิด พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ แห่งกองทัพ จะเอาเสบียงและสิ่งค้ำจุนออกไปจากเยรูซาเล็มและยูดาห์ ทั้งเสบียงขนมปังทั้งหมด และน้ำทั้งหมด
2The mighty man, and the man of war; the judge, and the prophet, and the diviner, and the elder;
2ทั้งคนกล้า นักรบ ผู้พิพากษา ผู้เผยพระวจนะ คนทำนาย ผู้อาวุโส
3The captain of fifty, and the man of rank, and the counsellor, and the cunning charmer, and the skilful enchanter.
3นายกองห้าสิบคน ผู้มีเกียรติ ที่ปรึกษา ช่างฝีมือ และผู้ร่ายมนตร์ที่ชำนาญ
4And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
4เราจะให้เด็กชายเป็นผู้นำของพวกเขา ให้เด็กๆ ปกครองพวกเขา
5And the people shall oppress one another, every man his fellow, and every man his neighbour; the child shall behave insolently against the aged, and the base against the honourable,
5ประชาชนจะกดขี่กันเอง คนหนึ่งกดขี่อีกคนหนึ่ง แต่ละคนกดขี่เพื่อนบ้าน เด็กจะอวดดีกับคนแก่ คนชั่วจะอวดดีกับผู้มีเกียรติ
6For a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father: 'Thou hast a mantle, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand.'
6คนหนึ่งจะจับพี่น้องของตนไว้ในบ้านพ่อแล้วบอกว่า “ท่านมีเสื้อผ้า จงเป็นผู้ปกครองของพวกเรา รับผิดชอบซากปรักหักพังนี้เถิด”
7In that day shall he swear, saying: 'I will not be a healer; for in my house is neither bread nor a mantle; ye shall not make me ruler of a people.'
7ในวันนั้น เขาจะร้องตอบว่า “ข้าพเจ้าจะไม่รับหน้าที่ฟื้นฟู เพราะในบ้านข้าพเจ้าไม่มีทั้งขนมปังและเสื้อผ้า อย่าตั้งข้าพเจ้าเป็นผู้ปกครองประชาชนเลย”
8For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of His glory.
8เยรูซาเล็มพังพินาศ ยูดาห์ล้มลง เพราะคำพูดและการกระทำของพวกเขาต่อต้านพระยาห์เวห์ ยั่วพระองค์ผู้รุ่งโรจน์ต่อหน้าต่อตา
9The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have wrought evil unto themselves.
9สีหน้าของพวกเขาเป็นพยานปรักปรำตนเอง พวกเขาอวดบาปอย่างโสโดม ไม่ปิดบังเลย วิบัติจงเกิดแก่พวกเขา! เพราะพวกเขานำหายนะมาสู่ตัวเอง
10Say ye of the righteous, that it shall be well with him; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
10จงบอกคนเที่ยงธรรมว่าเขาจะอยู่ดี เพราะเขาจะได้กินผลจากการกระทำของตน
11Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him; for the work of his hands shall be done to him.
11วิบัติจงเกิดแก่คนชั่ว! หายนะจะมาถึงเขา เขาจะได้รับผลตอบแทนตามสิ่งที่มือของตนทำ
12As for My people, a babe is their master, and women rule over them. O My people, they that lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
12ส่วนประชาชนของเรา เด็กๆ กดขี่พวกเขา ผู้หญิงปกครองพวกเขา ประชาชนของเราเอ๋ย ผู้นำทำให้พวกเจ้าหลงทาง และทำลายเส้นทางที่พวกเจ้าจะเดิน
13The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the peoples.
13พระยาห์เวห์ลุกขึ้นว่าความ ยืนขึ้นตัดสินชนชาติทั้งหลาย
14The LORD will enter into judgment with the elders of His people, and the princes thereof: 'It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses;
14พระยาห์เวห์จะดำเนินคดีกับผู้อาวุโสของประชาชนของพระองค์ และกับผู้นำของพวกเขา “พวกเจ้านี่เองที่ล้างผลาญสวนองุ่นจนหมด ของที่ปล้นจากคนจนอยู่ในบ้านของพวกเจ้า
15What mean ye that ye crush My people, and grind the face of the poor?' saith the Lord, the GOD of hosts.
15ทำไมพวกเจ้าจึงบดขยี้ประชาชนของเรา และขยี้หน้าคนจน?” พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ แห่งกองทัพกล่าว
16Moreover the LORD said: Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched-forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet;
16พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวอีกว่า “เพราะธิดาแห่งศิโยนหยิ่งผยอง เดินเชิดคอ ส่งสายตาเกี้ยวพาราสี ก้าวเท้าเยื้องย่าง ให้เครื่องประดับที่เท้าส่งเสียงกรุ๊งกริ๊ง
17Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will lay bare their secret parts.
17พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจึงจะให้หญิงแห่งศิโยนมีแผลบนกระหม่อม และพระยาห์เวห์จะให้หนังศีรษะของพวกเธอล้าน”
18In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their anklets, and the fillets, and the crescents;
18ในวันนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะเอาเครื่องประดับงดงามออกไป ทั้งกำไลข้อเท้า แถบคาดศีรษะ สร้อยรูปจันทร์เสี้ยว
19the pendants, and the bracelets, and the veils;
19ต่างหู กำไลข้อมือ ผ้าคลุมหน้า
20the headtires, and the armlets, and the sashes, and the corselets, and the amulets;
20เครื่องประดับศีรษะ โซ่ข้อเท้า สายคาดเอว ขวดน้ำหอม เครื่องราง
21the rings, and the nose-jewels;
21แหวนตรา ห่วงประดับจมูก
22the aprons, and the mantelets, and the cloaks, and the girdles;
22เสื้อคลุมเนื้อดี ผ้าคลุมบ่า เสื้อคลุมตัว กระเป๋า
23and the gauze robes, and the fine linen, and the turbans, and the mantles.
23กระจกส่องหน้าแบบถือ เสื้อผ้าลินินเนื้อดี มงกุฎประดับ และผ้าคลุมไหล่
24And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet spices there shall be rottenness; and instead of a girdle rags; and instead of curled hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; branding instead of beauty.
24กลิ่นเน่าจะมาแทนกลิ่นหอม เชือกจะมาแทนสายคาดเอว ศีรษะล้านจะมาแทนผมที่จัดไว้งาม ผ้ากระสอบจะมาแทนเสื้อคลุม รอยตีตราจะมาแทนความงาม
25Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.
25ผู้ชายของเธอจะล้มลงด้วยดาบ คนกล้าของเธอจะล้มลงในสงคราม
26And her gates shall lament and mourn; and utterly bereft she shall sit upon the ground.
26ประตูเมืองของเธอจะคร่ำครวญและโศกเศร้า เธอจะร้างเปล่า นั่งอยู่บนพื้นดิน
