1Keep silence before Me, O islands, and let the peoples renew their strength; let them draw near, then let them speak; let us come near together to judgment.
1“เกาะทั้งหลาย จงเงียบต่อหน้าเรา ให้ชนชาติมีกำลังใหม่ เข้ามาใกล้ แล้วจึงพูด มาพบกันเพื่อพิจารณาคดี
2Who hath raised up one from the east, at whose steps victory attendeth? He giveth nations before him, and maketh him rule over kings; his sword maketh them as the dust, his bow as the driven stubble.
2ใครปลุกผู้หนึ่งจากตะวันออก? ใครเรียกเขามาที่เท้าของตนอย่างเที่ยงธรรม? พระองค์มอบชนชาติให้เขา ให้เขาปกครองกษัตริย์ ให้พวกเขาเหมือนฝุ่นแก่ดาบของเขา เหมือนตอซังปลิวแก่ธนูของเขา
3He pursueth them, and passeth on safely; the way with his feet he treadeth not.
3เขาไล่ตาม ผ่านไปอย่างปลอดภัย แม้บนทางที่เท้าไม่เคยเดิน
4Who hath wrought and done it? He that called the generations from the beginning. I, the LORD, who am the first, and with the last am the same.
4ใครทำสิ่งนี้จนสำเร็จ เรียกคนแต่ละรุ่นตั้งแต่ต้น? เรา พระยาห์เวห์ ผู้แรก และอยู่กับผู้สุดท้าย เราคือผู้นั้น”
5The isles saw, and feared; the ends of the earth trembled; they drew near, and came.
5เกาะต่างๆ เห็นแล้วกลัว สุดปลายแผ่นดินสั่น พวกเขาเข้ามาใกล้
6They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother: 'Be of good courage.'
6แต่ละคนช่วยเพื่อนบ้าน บอกพี่น้องว่า “จงเข้มแข็ง!”
7So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smiteth the anvil, saying of the soldering: 'It is good'; and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.
7ช่างไม้จึงให้กำลังใจช่างทอง คนใช้ค้อนเกลี่ยให้เรียบให้กำลังใจคนตีทั่ง พูดถึงรอยเชื่อมว่า “ดีแล้ว” ตอกตะปูยึดไว้ไม่ให้โยก
8But thou, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham My friend;
8“แต่เจ้า อิสราเอล ผู้รับใช้ของเรา ยาโคบที่เราเลือก เชื้อสายอับราฮัมเพื่อนของเรา
9Thou whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the uttermost parts thereof, and said unto thee: 'Thou art My servant, I have chosen thee and not cast thee away';
9ผู้ที่เราจับไว้จากสุดปลายแผ่นดิน เรียกจากมุมต่างๆ บอกว่า ‘เจ้าเป็นผู้รับใช้ของเรา เราเลือกเจ้า ไม่ทิ้งเจ้า’
10Fear thou not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I strengthen thee, yea, I help thee; yea, I uphold thee with My victorious right hand.
10อย่ากลัว เพราะเราอยู่กับเจ้า อย่าหวาดผวา เพราะเราเป็นพระเจ้าของเจ้า เราจะเสริมกำลัง จะช่วยเจ้า จะประคองด้วยมือขวาแห่งความเที่ยงธรรมของเรา
11Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded; they that strove with thee shall be as nothing, and shall perish.
11ดูเถิด ทุกคนที่โกรธเจ้าจะผิดหวังและอับอาย คนต่อสู้เจ้าจะไม่เหลืออะไรและพินาศ
12Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee; they that warred against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
12เจ้าจะหาแต่ไม่พบ แม้คนโต้แย้งกับเจ้า คนรบกับเจ้าจะไม่เหลืออะไร เหมือนไม่เคยมีอยู่
13For I the LORD thy God hold thy right hand, who say unto thee: 'Fear not, I help thee.'
13เพราะเรา พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของเจ้า จะจับมือขวาเจ้า บอกว่า ‘อย่ากลัว เราจะช่วย’
14Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I help thee, saith the LORD, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
14อย่ากลัว ยาโคบผู้เป็นหนอน และพวกเจ้าชาวอิสราเอล เราจะช่วย” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “ผู้ไถ่เจ้าคือพระผู้บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอล
15Behold, I make thee a new threshing-sledge having sharp teeth; thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
15ดูเถิด เราทำเจ้าเป็นเครื่องนวดข้าวใหม่ คมและมีฟัน เจ้าจะนวดภูเขา บดเป็นชิ้นเล็ก ทำเนินให้เหมือนแกลบ
16Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them; and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, thou shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
16เจ้าจะฝัดมัน ลมจะพัดไป ลมหมุนจะกระจาย เจ้าจะยินดีในพระยาห์เวห์ ภาคภูมิในพระผู้บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอล
17The poor and needy seek water and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst; I the LORD will answer them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
17คนจนยากไร้หาน้ำ แต่ไม่มี ลิ้นแห้งเพราะกระหาย เรา พระยาห์เวห์ จะตอบพวกเขา เรา พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล จะไม่ทอดทิ้ง
18I will open rivers on the high hills, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
18เราจะเปิดแม่น้ำบนยอดโล้น เปิดน้ำพุกลางหุบเขา ทำถิ่นกันดารเป็นแอ่งน้ำ แผ่นดินแห้งเป็นน้ำพุ
19I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia-tree, and the myrtle, and the oil-tree; I will set in the desert the cypress, the plane-tree, and the larch together;
19เราจะวางซีดาร์ อะเคเซีย เมอร์เทิล และต้นน้ำมันในถิ่นกันดาร วางไซเปรส สน และบ็อกซ์ร่วมกันในทะเลทราย
20That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
20เพื่อพวกเขาจะเห็น รู้ พิจารณา และเข้าใจร่วมกัน ว่ามือพระยาห์เวห์ทำสิ่งนี้ พระผู้บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอลสร้างสิ่งนี้
21Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
21พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “จงเสนอคดี” กษัตริย์แห่งยาโคบกล่าวว่า “นำเหตุผลหนักแน่นมา!
22Let them bring them forth, and declare unto us the things that shall happen; the former things, what are they? Declare ye, that we may consider, and know the end of them; or announce to us things to come.
22ให้พวกเขาประกาศและบอกพวกเราว่าจะเกิดอะไร! บอกเรื่องก่อนๆ ว่าคืออะไร ให้พวกเราพิจารณาและรู้ตอนจบ หรือแสดงสิ่งที่จะมา
23Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods; yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
23บอกสิ่งที่จะเกิดภายหลัง ให้พวกเรารู้ว่าพวกเจ้าเป็นเทพเจ้า จงทำดีหรือทำชั่ว ให้พวกเราหวาดผวา และเห็นร่วมกัน
24Behold, ye are nothing, and your work a thing of nought; an abomination is he that chooseth you.
24ดูเถิด พวกเจ้าเป็นความว่างเปล่า งานของพวกเจ้าก็เป็นความว่างเปล่า ผู้เลือกพวกเจ้าน่ารังเกียจ
25I have roused up one from the north, and he is come, from the rising of the sun one that calleth upon My name; and he shall come upon rulers as upon mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.
25เราปลุกผู้หนึ่งจากเหนือ เขามาแล้ว จากทิศตะวันขึ้น ผู้เรียกนามเรา เขาจะเหยียบผู้ปกครองเหมือนเหยียบปูน เหมือนช่างปั้นเหยียบดิน
26Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say that he is right? Yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that announceth, yea, there is none that heareth your utterances.
26ใครบอกตั้งแต่ต้นให้พวกเรารู้? ใครบอกก่อนให้พวกเราพูดว่า ‘เขาถูกต้อง’? ไม่มีใครประกาศ ไม่มีใครแสดง ไม่มีใครได้ยินคำพวกเจ้า
27A harbinger unto Zion will I give: 'Behold, behold them', and to Jerusalem a messenger of good tidings.
27เราเป็นคนแรกที่บอกศิโยนว่า ‘ดูสิ ดูพวกเขา’ เราจะให้ผู้บอกข่าวดีแก่เยรูซาเล็ม
28And I look, but there is no man; even among them, but there is no counsellor, that, when I ask of them, can give an answer.
28เมื่อเรามอง ไม่มีใคร แม้ในหมู่พวกเขาก็ไม่มีที่ปรึกษาตอบคำถามเราได้
29Behold, all of them, their works are vanity and nought; their molten images are wind and confusion.
29ดูเถิด การกระทำทั้งหมดของพวกเขาสูญเปล่า ไร้ค่า รูปหล่อเป็นลมและความสับสน
