1In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; walls and bulwarks doth He appoint for salvation.
1ในวันนั้น ผู้คนจะร้องเพลงนี้ในแผ่นดินยูดาห์ “พวกเรามีเมืองเข้มแข็ง พระเจ้าตั้งความรอดเป็นกำแพงและเชิงเทิน
2Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation that keepeth faithfulness may enter in.
2จงเปิดประตู ให้ชนชาติที่เที่ยงธรรมเข้ามา ชนชาติที่รักษาความซื่อสัตย์
3The mind stayed on Thee Thou keepest in perfect peace; because it trusteth in Thee.
3พระองค์จะรักษาผู้มีใจมั่นคงไว้ในสันติสุขอย่างสมบูรณ์ เพราะเขาวางใจพระองค์
4Trust ye in the LORD for ever, for the LORD is GOD, an everlasting Rock.
4จงวางใจพระยาห์เวห์ ตลอดไป เพราะในพระยาห์ พระยาห์เวห์ มีศิลานิรันดร์
5For He hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city, laying it low, laying it low even to the ground, bringing it even to the dust.
5เพราะพระองค์ลดคนที่อยู่สูงลง คือเมืองที่สูงเด่น พระองค์กดเมืองนั้นให้ต่ำ กดลงถึงพื้น ลงถึงฝุ่นดิน
6The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.
6เท้าจะเหยียบเมืองนั้น คือเท้าคนจน และย่างก้าวของคนยากไร้”
7The way of the just is straight; Thou, Most Upright, makest plain the path of the just.
7ทางของคนเที่ยงธรรมคือความซื่อตรง พระองค์ผู้ซื่อตรงทำทางของคนเที่ยงธรรมให้ราบ
8Yea, in the way of Thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for Thee; to Thy name and to Thy memorial is the desire of our soul.
8พระยาห์เวห์ พวกเราเฝ้าคอยพระองค์ในทางแห่งการพิพากษาของพระองค์ ใจพวกเราใฝ่หาพระนามและชื่อเสียงของพระองค์
9With my soul have I desired Thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me have I sought Thee earnestly; for when Thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
9ยามค่ำคืน ใจข้าพเจ้าใฝ่หาพระองค์ วิญญาณภายในข้าพเจ้าจะแสวงหาพระองค์อย่างจริงจัง เพราะเมื่อการพิพากษาของพระองค์อยู่บนแผ่นดิน ชาวโลกก็เรียนรู้ความเที่ยงธรรม
10Let favour be shown to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
10แม้คนชั่วจะได้รับความเมตตา เขาก็ไม่เรียนรู้ความเที่ยงธรรม ในแผ่นดินแห่งความซื่อตรง เขายังทำผิด ไม่เห็นความยิ่งใหญ่ของพระยาห์เวห์
11LORD, Thy hand was lifted up, yet they see not; they shall see with shame Thy zeal for the people; yea, fire shall devour Thine adversaries.
11พระยาห์เวห์ พระองค์ยกมือขึ้นแล้ว แต่พวกเขาไม่เห็น พวกเขาจะเห็นว่าพระองค์มุ่งมั่นอย่างแรงกล้าเพื่อประชาชน แล้วพวกเขาจะผิดหวัง ไฟจะเผาผลาญผู้ต่อต้านพระองค์
12LORD, Thou wilt establish peace for us; for Thou hast indeed wrought all our works for us.
12พระยาห์เวห์ พระองค์จะกำหนดสันติสุขให้พวกเรา เพราะพระองค์ได้ทำงานทั้งหมดของพวกเราให้พวกเราด้วย
13O LORD our God, other lords beside Thee have had dominion over us; but by Thee only do we make mention of Thy name.
13พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของพวกเรา เจ้านายอื่นนอกจากพระองค์เคยปกครองพวกเรา แต่พวกเราจะยอมรับพระนามของพระองค์เท่านั้น
14The dead live not, the shades rise not; to that end hast Thou punished and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.
14คนตายจะไม่ฟื้นคืนชีพ วิญญาณผู้ล่วงลับจะไม่ลุกขึ้น พระองค์จึงจัดการและทำลายพวกเขา ให้ความทรงจำถึงพวกเขาสูญสิ้น
15Thou hast gotten Thee honour with the nations, O LORD, yea, exceeding great honour with the nations; Thou art honoured unto the farthest ends of the earth.
15พระยาห์เวห์ พระองค์เพิ่มจำนวนชนชาติ พระองค์เพิ่มจำนวนชนชาติ! พระองค์ได้รับเกียรติ! พระองค์ขยายเขตแดนทั้งหมดของแผ่นดิน
16LORD, in trouble have they sought Thee, silently they poured out a prayer when Thy chastening was upon them.
16พระยาห์เวห์ ยามทุกข์พวกเขามาหาพระองค์ พรั่งพรูคำอธิษฐานเมื่อพระองค์ตีสอน
17Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been at Thy presence, O LORD.
17เหมือนหญิงมีครรภ์ใกล้คลอด ที่ปวดและร้องด้วยความเจ็บปวด พวกเราก็เป็นเช่นนั้นต่อหน้าพระองค์ พระยาห์เวห์
18We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the land; neither are the inhabitants of the world come to life.
18พวกเราตั้งครรภ์ พวกเราเจ็บปวด แต่ดูเหมือนคลอดออกมาเป็นเพียงลม พวกเราไม่ได้ทำให้เกิดการช่วยให้พ้นภัยบนแผ่นดิน ชาวโลกก็ไม่ได้ล้มลง
19Thy dead shall live, my dead bodies shall arise — awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust — for Thy dew is as the dew of light, and the earth shall bring to life the shades.
19คนตายของท่านจะฟื้นคืนชีพ ศพของพวกเขาจะลุกขึ้น ผู้ที่อยู่ในฝุ่นดิน จงตื่นและร้องเพลง เพราะน้ำค้างของท่านเหมือนน้ำค้างบนพืช แผ่นดินจะปล่อยวิญญาณผู้ล่วงลับออกมา
20Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee; hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
20ประชาชนของเรา มาเถิด เข้าไปในห้อง ปิดประตูตามหลัง ซ่อนตัวเพียงครู่หนึ่ง จนกว่าความโกรธเกรี้ยวจะผ่านไป
21For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of His place to visit upon the inhabitants of the earth their iniquity; the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
21ดูเถิด พระยาห์เวห์ออกจากที่ของพระองค์ เพื่อลงโทษชาวแผ่นดินเพราะความผิดของพวกเขา แผ่นดินจะเปิดเผยเลือดของเธอ จะไม่ปิดบังผู้ถูกฆ่าของเธออีก
