1The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
1นี่คือสิ่งที่อิสยาห์บุตรอาโมสเห็นเกี่ยวกับยูดาห์และเยรูซาเล็ม
2And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established as the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
2ในวันข้างหน้า ภูเขาที่ตั้งพระวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์จะตั้งมั่นอยู่เหนือยอดเขาทั้งหลาย สูงเด่นเหนือเนินเขา ทุกชาติจะหลั่งไหลมาที่นั่น
3And many peoples shall go and say: 'Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths.' For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
3ชนชาติมากมายจะมาและกล่าวว่า “มาเถิด ขึ้นไปยังภูเขาของพระยาห์เวห์กัน ไปยังพระวิหารของพระเจ้าของยาโคบ พระองค์จะสอนวิถีทางของพระองค์ให้พวกเรา แล้วพวกเราจะเดินตามทางนั้น” เพราะข้อบัญญัติจะออกมาจากศิโยน คำของพระยาห์เวห์จะออกมาจากเยรูซาเล็ม
4And He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
4พระองค์จะตัดสินระหว่างชาติต่างๆ จะชี้ขาดให้ชนชาติมากมาย พวกเขาจะตีดาบเป็นผาลไถ ตีหอกเป็นมีดลิดกิ่ง ชาติหนึ่งจะไม่ยกดาบขึ้นต่อสู้อีกชาติหนึ่ง และจะไม่ฝึกทำสงครามอีก
5O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
5เชื้อสายยาโคบ มาเถิด เดินในแสงสว่างของพระยาห์เวห์กัน
6For Thou hast forsaken Thy people the house of Jacob; for they are replenished from the east, and with soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the brood of aliens.
6พระองค์ได้ทอดทิ้งประชาชนของพระองค์ คือเชื้อสายยาโคบ เพราะในหมู่พวกเขามีสิ่งจากตะวันออกอยู่เต็มไปหมด มีคนทำนายอย่างชาวฟีลิสเตีย พวกเขาจับมือกับลูกหลานคนต่างชาติ
7Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.
7แผ่นดินของพวกเขาเต็มไปด้วยเงินและทอง มีทรัพย์สมบัติไม่สิ้นสุด แผ่นดินเต็มไปด้วยม้า มีรถศึกไม่สิ้นสุด
8Their land also is full of idols; every one worshippeth the work of his own hands, that which his own fingers have made.
8แผ่นดินเต็มไปด้วยรูปเคารพเช่นกัน พวกเขากราบไหว้ผลงานจากมือของตน สิ่งที่นิ้วของตนทำขึ้น
9And man boweth down, and man lowereth himself; and Thou canst not bear with them.
9มนุษย์จึงตกต่ำ มวลมนุษย์ถูกกดให้ต่ำลง ขออย่าให้อภัยพวกเขาเลย
10Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of His majesty.
10จงเข้าไปในซอกหิน ซ่อนตัวในฝุ่นดิน ให้พ้นจากความน่าเกรงขามของพระยาห์เวห์ และความยิ่งใหญ่อันรุ่งโรจน์ของพระองค์
11The lofty looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
11สายตาเย่อหยิ่งของมนุษย์จะต้องก้มลง ความทะนงตนจะถูกกดให้ต่ำ ในวันนั้น พระยาห์เวห์เพียงผู้เดียวจะสูงเด่น
12For the LORD of hosts hath a day upon all that is proud and lofty, and upon all that is lifted up, and it shall be brought low;
12เพราะพระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพมีวันที่จะจัดการทุกสิ่งที่หยิ่งผยอง ทุกสิ่งที่ชูตัวสูง จะต้องตกต่ำ—
13And upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan;
13ทั้งต้นซีดาร์แห่งเลบานอนที่สูงตระหง่าน และต้นโอ๊กแห่งบาชานทุกต้น
14And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up;
14ภูเขาสูงทุกลูก เนินเขาที่สูงเด่นทุกแห่ง
15And upon every lofty tower, and upon every fortified wall;
15หอคอยสูงทุกหอ กำแพงป้อมทุกแนว
16And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all delightful imagery.
16เรือแห่งทารชิชทุกลำ และภาพงามตาทุกภาพ
17And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
17ความสูงส่งของมนุษย์จะถูกกดให้ต่ำ ความทะนงตนจะถูกลดลง ในวันนั้น พระยาห์เวห์เพียงผู้เดียวจะสูงเด่น
18And the idols shall utterly pass away.
18รูปเคารพจะสูญสิ้นไปทั้งหมด
19And men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake mightily the earth.
19ผู้คนจะเข้าไปในถ้ำหิน และโพรงดิน ให้พ้นจากความน่าเกรงขามของพระยาห์เวห์ และความยิ่งใหญ่อันรุ่งโรจน์ของพระองค์ เมื่อพระองค์ลุกขึ้นเขย่าแผ่นดินอย่างรุนแรง
20In that day a man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
20ในวันนั้น ผู้คนจะทิ้งรูปเคารพเงิน และรูปเคารพทอง ที่ทำไว้กราบไหว้ ให้ตัวตุ่นและค้างคาว
21To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the crevices of the crags, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of His majesty, when he ariseth to shake mightily the earth.
21แล้วเข้าไปในถ้ำหิน และรอยแยกของผาขรุขระ ให้พ้นจากความน่าเกรงขามของพระยาห์เวห์ และความยิ่งใหญ่อันรุ่งโรจน์ของพระองค์ เมื่อพระองค์ลุกขึ้นเขย่าแผ่นดินอย่างรุนแรง
22Cease ye from man, in whose nostrils is a breath; for how little is he to be accounted!
22เลิกวางใจมนุษย์ที่มีเพียงลมหายใจอยู่ในจมูกเถิด เขามีค่าเพียงใดกัน?
