1Job loh a doo tih,
1Then Job answered and said:
2Tihnin ah khaw boekoek bangla ka kohuetnah loh ka kut he ka hueinah neh a nan.
2Even to-day is my complaint bitter; my hand is become heavy because of my groaning.
3U loh n'khueh khaw ka ming vetih amah te ka hmuh phoeiah amah kah hmuenmol la ka pha lah mako?
3Oh that I knew where I might find Him, that I might come even to His seat!
4A mikhmuh ah laitloeknah ka khueng lah vetih ka ka ah toelthamnah ka paem lah mako.
4I would order my cause before Him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
5Olthui te ka ming tih kai n'doo vaengkah kai hamla a thui te ka yakming lah mako.
5I would know the words which He would answer me, and understand what He would say unto me.
6Thadueng cungkuem neh kai n'ho saeh a?Amah loh kai taengah khueh het mahpawt a?
6Would He contend with me in His great power? Nay; but He would give heed unto me.
7Aka thuem te a hmaiah a tluung pahoi lah vetih kai he laitloek khui lamloh a yoeyah la ka loeih mako.
7There the upright might reason with Him; so should I be delivered for ever from my Judge.
8Khothoeng la ka caeh mai akhaw amah a om moenih. A hnuk ah khaw anih te ka yakming moenih.
8Behold, I go forward, but He is not there, and backward, but I cannot perceive Him;
9Banvoei ah a saii vaengah ka hmuh moenih. Bantang la a mael vaengah ka hmuh moenih.
9On the left hand, when He doth work, but I cannot behold Him, He turneth Himself to the right hand, but I cannot see Him.
10Tedae longpuei a ming dongah kai he ka taengah n'noemcai tih sui bangla ka thoeng.
10For He knoweth the way that I take; when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
11A khokan te ka khopha loh a vai. A longpuei te ka ngaithuen tih ka phael moenih.
11My foot hath held fast to His steps, His way have I kept, and turned not aside.
12A hmuilai kah olpaek khaw ka hlong pawt tih ka buhvae lakah a ka lamkah ol ni ka khoem.
12I have not gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured up the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.
13Tedae amah tah pakhat la om tih ulong anih a mael thil thai? Te dongah a hinglu kah a ngaih bangla a saii.
13But He is at one with Himself, and who can turn Him? And what His soul desireth, even that He doeth.
14Ka oltlueh te a thuung tih te bang te amah taengah yet.
14For He will perform that which is appointed for me; and many such things are with Him.
15Te dongah a mikhmuh lamloh ka let coeng. Ka yakming dongah amah te ka rhih.
15Therefore am I affrighted at His presence; when I consider, I am afraid of Him.
16Pathen loh kai lungbuei a phoena sak tih tlungthang loh kai n'let sak.
16Yea, God hath made my heart faint, and the Almighty hath affrighted me;
17Tedae a hmuep kah maelhmai loh m'biit pawt tih ka maelhmai te a khohmuep loh a dah moenih.
17Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither did He cover the thick darkness from my face.
