1Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? And why do not they that know Him see His days?
2Rhilung a rhawt uh , tuping a rhawth uh tih a luem sak uh.
2There are that remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed them.
3Cadah kah laak te a vai pah tih nuhmai kah vaito te a laikoi pa uh.
3They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
4Khodaeng rhoek te longpuei lamloh a tulh tih khohmuen kah mangdaeng rhoek khaw rhenten a thuh.
4They turn the needy out of the way; the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
5Amamih kah bisai la khosoek ah kohong marhang bangla pawk uh coeng ke. Amah ham kolken maeh neh camoe ham buh khaw a toem uh.
5Behold, as wild asses in the wilderness they go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food; the desert yieldeth them bread for their children.
6Lohma ah a kamvuelh te a ah, a ah uh tih halang misurdum kah a yoep uh.
6They cut his provender in the field; and they despoil the vineyard of the wicked.
7Pumtling rhoek te pueinak tling la a rhaehba sak uh tih khosik vaengah himbai mueh uh.
7They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.
8Tlang kah cingtui loh a het uh tih hlipyingnah a om mueh la lungpang a kop uh.
8They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
9Cadah khaw rhangsuk lamloh a suh uh tih mangdaeng rhoek te a laikoi.
9There are that pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor;
10Pumtling loh pueinak tling van tih bungpong doela canghmoek a puen.
10So that they go about naked without clothing, and being hungry they carry the sheaves;
11A pangbueng ah situi a kuelh tih va-am a cawt uh lalah tui hal uh.
11They make oil within the rows of these men; they tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
12Khopuei lamkah hlang rhoek loh nguekcoi uh tih duekrhok hinglu loh bomnah a bih. Tedae Pathen loh ahohap te a dueh moenih.
12From out of the populous city men groan, and the soul of the wounded crieth out; yet God imputeth it not for unseemliness.
13Amih te vangnah aka tloelh lakli ah om uh tih a longpuei hmat uh pawh. Te dongah a hawn ah khosa uh pawh.
13These are of them that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
14Hlang aka ngawn loh vangnah hnukah thoo tih mangdaeng neh khodaeng te a rhaem. Khoyin ah hlanghuen bangla om.
14The murderer riseth with the light, to kill the poor and needy; and in the night he is as a thief.
15Samphaih mik loh hlaemhmah a lamtawn. Hlang mik loh kai m'mae mahpawh a ti dongah a maelhmai te a huephael la a khueh.
15The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying: 'No eye shall see me'; and he putteth a covering on his face.
16A hmuep vaengah im a muk. Khothaih ah amih te a tlaeng uh tih vangnah te ming uh pawh.
16In the dark they dig through houses; they shut themselves up in the day-time; they know not the light.
17Dueknah hlipkhup mueirhih neh a hmat uh rhoi dongah dueknah hlipkhup te mincang neh amih taengah rhenten thoeng.
17For the shadow of death is to all of them as the morning; for they know the terrors of the shadow of death.
18Anih te tui hman ah hoeptuep. Amih kah hmakhuen te diklai ah a tap dongah misurdum kah longpuei la mop voel pawh.
18He is swift upon the face of the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth; he turneth not by the way of the vineyards.
19Rhamrhae neh kholing ah, tui khaw rhaeng tih vuelsong khaw saelkhui ah tholh coeng.
19Drought and heat consume the snow waters; so doth the nether-world those that have sinned.
20A bung loh anih a hnilh hil ah a rhit te a poek voel pawt hil a tui sak. Tedae dumlai tah thing bangla tlawt.
20The womb forgetteth him; the worm feedeth sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and unrighteousness is broken as a tree.
21Ca aka cun mueh caya aka luem puei neh nuhmai khaw loha pawh.
21He devoureth the barren that beareth not; and doeth not good to the widow.
22Aka lueng pataeng a thadueng neh a kuel tih thoo mai dae hingnah dongah tangnah om pawh.
22He draweth away the mighty also by his power; he riseth up, and he trusteth not his own life.
23Anih te ngaikhuek la pae saeh lamtah hangdang saeh. Tedae Amih longpuei ah a mik a paelki.
23Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth, yet His eyes are upon their ways.
24Bet a pomsang uh vaengah amih te pahoi om uh pawt tih tlumhmawn uh. A pum la a buem uh tih cangmo vueilue bangla a baih uh.
24They are exalted for a little while, and they are gone; yea, they are brought low, they are gathered in as all others, and wither as the tops of the ears of corn.
25Te pawt koinih unim kai aka laithae sak?Ka ol he a hong bangla a khueh mako,” a ti.
25And if it be not so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
