1Синови Јудини беху: Фарес, Есрон и Хармија и Ор и Совал.
1The sons of Juda: Phares, Hesron, and Charmi, and Hur, and Sobal.
2А Реаја син Совалов роди Јата, а Јат роди Ахумаја и Лада. То су породице саратске.
2And Raia the son of Sobal beget Jahath, of whom were born Ahumai, and Laad. These are the families of Sarathi.
3А ово су од оца Итама: Језраел и Јесма и Једвас, а сестри њиховој беше име Аселелфонија.
3And this is the posterity of Etam: Jezrahel, and Jesema, and Jedebos: and the name of their sister was Asalelphuni.
4И Фануило беше отац Гедору, и Есер отац Хусин. То беху синови Ора првенца Ефрате, оца Витлејемцима.
4And Phanuel the father of Gedor, and Ezar the father of Hosa, these are the sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephratha the father of Bethlehem.
5А Асхор отац Текујанима имаше две жене, Елу и Нару.
5And Assur the father of Thecua had two wives, Halaa and Naara:
6И Нара му роди Ахузама и Ефера и Темана и Ахастара. То су синови Нарини.
6And Naara bore him Ozam, and Hepher, and Themani, and Ahasthari: these are the sons of Naara.
7А синови Елини: Серед, Јесоар и Етнан.
7And the sons of Halaa, Sereth, Isaar, and Ethnan.
8А Кос роди Анува и Совиву и породице Ахарила сина Арумовог.
8And Cos begot Anob, and Soboba, the kindred of Aharehel the son of Arum.
9А Јавис беше славнији од своје браће, и мати му наде име Јавис говорећи: Родих га с болом.
9And Jabes was more honourable than any of his brethren, and his mother called his name Jabes, saying: Because I bore him with sorrow.
10И Јавис призва Бога Израиљевог говорећи: О да би ме благословио и раширио међе моје, и рука Твоја да би била са мном, и да би ме сачувао ода зла да ме не уцвели! И учини Бог за шта га моли.
10And Jabes called upon the God of Israel, saying: If blessing thou wilt bless me, and wilt enlarge my borders, and thy hand be with me, and thou save me from being oppressed by evil. And God granted him the things he prayed for.
11А Хелув, брат Сујин роди Мехира. Он би отац Естонов.
11And Caleb the brother of Sua beget Mahir, who was the father of Esthon.
12А Естон роди Вет-Рафу и Фесеју и Техину, оца граду Нашу. То су људи Рихавови.
12And Esthon beget Bethrapha, and Phesse, and Tehinna father of the city of Naas: these are the men of Recha.
13А синови Кенезови беху Готонило и Сераја. А синови Готонилови: Атат.
13And the sons of Cenez were Othoniel, and Saraia. And the sons of Othoniel, Hathath, and Maonathi.
14А Меонотај роди Офру; а Сераја роди Јоава, оца оних што живе у долини дрводељској, јер беху дрводеље.
14Maonathi beget Ophra, and Saraia begot Joab the father of the Valley of artificers: for artificers were there.
15А синови Халева сина Јефонијиног беху Ир, Ила и Нам. А син Илин беше Кенез.
15And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephone, were Hir, and Ela, and Naham. And the sons of Ela: Cenez.
16А синови Јелелеилови: Зиф и Зифа, Тирија и Асареило.
16The sons also of Jaleleel: Ziph, and Zipha, Thiria, and Asrael.
17А синови Езрини: Јетер и Меред и Ефер и Јалон; а жена Мередова роди Маријама и Самаја и Јесву, оца Естемоји.
17And the sons of Esra, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon, and he beget Mariam, and Sammai, and Jesba the father of Esthamo.
18А жена његова Јудија роди Јереда оца Гедору, и Евера оца Сохоту, и Јекутила оца Заноји. А то беху синови Витије, кћери Фараонове, којом се ожени Меред.
18And his wife Judaia, bore Jared the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Icuthiel the father of Zanoe. And these are the sons of Bethia the daughter of Pharao, whom Mered took to wife.
19А синови жене Одијине, сестре Нама оца Кеили беху Гармија и Естемоја Махаћанин.
19And the sons of his wife Odaia the sister of Naham the father of Celia, Garmi, and Esthamo, who was of Machathi.
20А синови Симонови: Амион и Рина и Вен-Анан и Тилон. А синови Јесејеви: Зохет и Вен-Зохет.
20The sons also of Simon, Amnon, and Rinna the son of Hanan, and Thilon. And the sons of Jesi Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
21А синови Силе, сина Јудиног: Ир отац Лиху, и Лада отац Мариси, и породице дома платнарског, дома Асвејиног.
21The sons of Sela the son of Juda: Her the father of Lecha, and Laada the father of Maresa, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen in the House of oath.
22И Јоким и Хасивљани, и Јоас и Сараф, који владаху у моавској, и Јасуви-Лехем. Али то су старе ствари.
22And he that made the sun to stand, and the men of Lying, and Secure, and Burning, who were princes in Moab, and who returned into Lahem. Now these are things of old.
23То беху лончари и живљаху у садовима и забранима, и беху онде код цара за његове послове.
23These are the potters, and they dwelt in Plantations, and Hedges, with the king for his works, and they abode there.
24Синови Симеунови: Немуило и Јамин, Јарив, Зера, Саул;
24The sons of Simeon: Namuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zara, Saul:
25а његов син Салум, а његов син Мивсам, а његов син Мисма.
25Sellum his son, Mapsam his son, Masma his son.
26А синови Мисмини: Амуило син му, и његов син Захур, и његов син Симеј.
26The sons of Masma: Hamuel his son, Zachur his son, Semei his son.
27А Симеј имаше шеснаест синова и шест кћери; а браћа његова немаху много синова, и све породице њихове не беше тако много као синова Јудиних.
27The sons of Semei were sixteen, and six daughters: but his brethren had not many sons, and the whole kindred could not reach to the sum of the children of Juda.
28А живљаху у Вирсавеји и Молади и Асар-Суалу,
28And they dwelt in Bersabee, and Molada, and Hasarsuhal,
29и у Вали и у Асему и у Толаду,
29And in Bala, and in Asom, and in Tholad,
30и у Ветуилу и у Орми и у Сиклагу,
30And in Bathuel, and in Horma, and in Siceleg,
31и у Вет-Мархавоту и у Асар-Сусиму и у Вет-Виреју и у Сараиму. То беху градови њихови до цара Давида.
31And in Bethmarchaboth, and in Hasarsusim, and in Bethberai, and in Saarim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.
32А села њихова беху Итам и Ајин, Римон и Тохен и Асан, пет градова,
32Their towns also were Etam, and Aen, Remmon, and Thochen, and Asan, five cities.
33и сва села њихова што беху око тих градова до Вала. То беху станови њихови по роду њиховом.
33And all their villages round about these cities as far as Baal. This was their habitation, and the distribution of their dwellings.
34А Месовав и Јамлих и Јоса син Амасијин,
34And Mosabab and Jemlech, and Josa, the son of Amasias,
35и Јоило и Јуј, син Јосивије сина Сераје сина Асиловог,
35And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josabia the son of Saraia, the son of Asiel,
36и Елиоинај и Јакова и Јесохаја и Асаја и Адило и Јесимило и Венаја,
36And Elioenai, and Jacoba, and Isuhaia, and Asaia, and Adiel, and Ismiel, and Banaia,
37и Зиса, син Сифија сина Алона сина Једаје сина Симрија сина Семајиног;
37Ziza also the son of Sephei the son of Allon the son of Idaia the son of Semri the son of Samaia.
38ти именовани беху кнезови у породицама својим, и домови отаца њихових умножише се веома.
38These were named princes in their kindreds, and in the houses of their families were multiplied exceedingly.
39И зато отидоше у Гедор до источне стране долине да траже пашу стоци својој.
39And they went forth to enter into Gador as far as to the east side of the valley, to seek pastures for their flocks.
40И нађоше пашу обилату и добру и земљу пространу и мирну и родну, јер пре онде живљаху који беху од Хама.
40And they found fat pastures, and very good, and a country spacious, and quiet, and fruitful, in which some of the race of Cham had dwelt before.
41Ти, дакле, записани по имену дошавши за Језекије цара Јудиног разбише шаторе њихове и становнике који се нађоше онде, и побише их као проклете да не оста ниједан до данас, и населише се место њих, јер онде беше паше за стоку њихову.
41And these whose names are written above, came in the days of Ezechias king of Juda: and they beat down their tents, and slew the inhabitants that were found there, and utterly destroyed them unto this day: and they dwelt in their place, because they found there fat pastures.
42А између њих, синова Симеунових, изиђе на гору Сир пет стотина људи, а поглавице им беху Фелатија и Неарија и Рефаја и Озило, синови Јесејеви.
42Some also of the children of Simeon, five hundred men, went into mount Seir, having for their captains Phaltias and Naaria and Raphaia and Oziel the sons of Jesi:
43И побише остатак што беху утекли између Амалика, и населише се онде до данашњег дана.
43And they slew the remnant of the Amalecites, who had been able to escape, and they dwelt there in their stead unto this day.
