1И начини себи Давид куће у граду Давидовом, и спреми место за ковчег Божји, и разапе му шатор.
1He made also houses for himself in the city of David: and built a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tabernacle for it.
2Тада рече Давид: Не ваља да носи ковчег Божји нико осим Левити, јер је њих изабрао Господ да носе ковчег Божји и да му служе до века.
2Then David said: No one ought to carry the ark of God, but the Levites, whom the Lord hath chosen to carry it, and to minister unto himself for ever.
3И скупи Давид све синове Израиљеве у Јерусалим да пренесу ковчег Господњи на место његово, које беше спремио.
3And he gathered all Israel together into Jerusalem, that the ark of God might be brought into its place, which he had prepared for it.
4Скупи Давид и синове Аронове и Левите,
4And the sons of Aaron also, and the Levites.
5од синова Катових: Урила поглавара и браће његове сто и двадесет;
5Of the children of Caath, Uriel was the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twenty.
6од синова Мераријевих: Асају поглавара и браће његове двеста и двадесет;
6Of the sons of Merari, Asaia the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty.
7од синова Гирсонових: Јоила поглавара и браће његове сто и тридесет;
7Of the sons of Gersom, Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty.
8од синова Елисафанових: Семају поглавара и браће његове двеста;
8Of the sons of Elisaphan, Semeias the chief: and his brethren two hundred.
9од синова Хевронових: Елила поглавара и браће његове осамдесет;
9Of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief: and his brethren eighty.
10од синова Озилових: Аминадава поглавара и браће његове сто и дванаест.
10Of the sons of Oziel, Aminadab the chief: and his brethren a hundred and twelve.
11Тада дозва Давид Садока и Авијатара свештенике, и Левите и Урила и Асају и Јоила и Самају и Елила и Аминадава,
11And David called Sadoc, and Abiathar the priests, and the Levites, Uriel, Asaia, Joel, Semeia, Eliel, and Aminadab:
12и рече им: Ви сте поглавари породица отачких међу Левитима освештајте себе и браћу своју да донесете ковчег Господа Бога Израиљевог на место које сам му спремио.
12And he said to them: You that are the heads of the Levitical families, be sanctified with your brethren, and brine the ark of the Lord the God of Israel to the place, which is prepared for it:
13Јер што пре не учинисте то, Господ Бог наш продре нас, јер Га не тражисмо како треба.
13Lest as the Lord at first struck us, because you were not present, the same should now also come to pass, by our doing some thing against the law.
14И освешташе се свештеници и Левити да пренесу ковчег Господа Бога Израиљевог.
14So the priests and the Levites were sanctified, to carry the ark of the Lord the God of Israel.
15И носише синови левитски ковчег Божији као што је заповедио Мојсије по речи Господњој на раменима својим и полугама.
15And the sons of Levi took the ark of God as Moses had commanded, according to the word of the Lord, upon their shoulders, with the staves.
16И рече Давид поглаварима левитским да поставе између браће своје певаче са справама музичким, са псалтирима и гуслама и кимвалима, да певају у глас весело.
16And David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites, to appoint some of their brethren to be singers with musical instruments, to wit, on psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, that the joyful noise might resound on high.
17И поставише Левити Емана, сина Јоиловог, и од браће његове Асафа сина Варахијиног, и од синова Мераријевих, браће њихове, Етана сина Кисајиног;
17And they appointed Levites, Hemam the son of Joel, and of his brethren Asaph the son of Barachias: and of the sons of Merari, their brethren: Ethan the son of Casaia.
18и с њима браћу њихову другог реда: Захарију и Вена и Јазила и Семирамота и Јехила и Унија и Елијава и Венају и Масију и Мататију и Елифела и Микмеју и Овид-Едома и Јеила, вратаре.
18And with them their brethren: in the second rank, Zacharias, and Ben, and Jaziel, and Semiramoth, and Jahiel, and Ani, and Eliab, and Banaias, and Maasias, and Mathathias, and Eliphalu, and Macenias, and Obededom, and Jehiel, the porters.
19И певачи Еман и Асаф и Етан удараху у кимвале бронзане;
19Now the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, sounded with cymbals of brass.
20а Захарија и Озило и Семирамот и Јехило и Уније и Елијав и Масија и Венаја у псалтире високо,
20And Zacharias, and Oziel, and Semiramoth, and Jehiel, and Ani, and Eliab, and Maasias, and Banaias, sung mysteries upon psalteries.
21а Мататија и Елифел и Микмеја, и Овид-Едом, и Јеило и Азазија у гусле ниско.
21And Mathathias, and Eliphalu, and Macenias and Obededom, and Jehiel and Ozaziu, sung a song of victory for the octave upon harps.
22А Хенанија поглавар међу Левитима који ношаху ковчег уређиваше како ће се носити, јер беше вешт.
22And Chonenias chief of the Levites, presided over the prophecy, to give out the tunes: for he was very skillful.
23А Варахија и Елкана беху вратари код ковчега.
23And Barachias, and Elcana, were doorkeepers of the ark.
24А Севанија и Јосафат и Натанаило и Амасај и Захарија и Венаја и Елијезер, свештеници, трубљаху у трубе пред ковчегом Божјим; а Овид-Едом и Јехија беху вратари код ковчега.
24And Sebenias, and Josaphat, and Nathanael, and Amasai, and Zacharias, and Banaias, and Eliezer the priests, sounded with trumpets, before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehias were porters of the ark.
25И тако Давид и старешине Израиљеве и хиљадници иђаху пратећи ковчег Завета Господњег из куће Овид-Едомове с весељем.
25So David and all the ancients of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of Obededom with joy.
26И кад Бог поможе Левитима који ношаху ковчег завета Господњег принесоше седам волова и седам овнова.
26And when God had helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, they offered in sacrifice seven oxen, and seven rams.
27И Давид беше огрнут плаштем од танког платна, тако и сви Левити који ношаху ковчег и певачи, Хенанија који управљаше носиоцима међу певачима. И Давид имаше на себи оплећак ланен.
27And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singing men, and Chonenias the ruler of the prophecy among the singers: and David also had on him an ephod of linen.
28И тако сав народ Израиљев праћаше ковчег завета Господњег кликујући и трубећи у трубе и у рогове и ударајући у кимвале и у псалтире и у гусле.
28And all Israel brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord with joyful shouting, and sounding with the sound of the comet, and with trumpets, and cymbals, and psalteries, and harps.
29А кад ковчег завета Господњег улажаше у град Давидов, Михала кћи Саулова гледајући с прозора виде цара Давида где скаче и игра, и подругну му се у срцу свом.
29And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord was come to the city of David, Michol the daughter of Saul looking out at a window, saw king David dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
