1Then a spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the LORD'S house, which looketh eastward; and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
1แล้วพระวิญญาณยกข้าพเจ้าขึ้นและพาไปยังประตูด้านตะวันออกของพระนิเวศพระยาห์เวห์ซึ่งหันไปทางตะวันออก ที่ทางเข้าประตูมีชายยี่สิบห้าคน ข้าพเจ้าเห็นยาอาซันยาห์บุตรอัสซูร์กับเปลาทียาห์บุตรเบไนยาห์ ซึ่งเป็นผู้นำของประชาชน อยู่ท่ามกลางพวกเขา
2And He said unto me: 'Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and that give wicked counsel in this city;
2พระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “มนุษย์เอ๋ย คนเหล่านี้เป็นผู้คิดการชั่วและให้คำปรึกษาที่เลวร้ายในเมืองนี้
3that say: The time is not near to build houses! this city is the caldron, and we are the flesh.
3พวกเขาพูดว่า ‘ยังไม่ถึงเวลาสร้างบ้าน เมืองนี้เป็นหม้อ และเราเป็นเนื้อ’
4Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.'
4เพราะฉะนั้นจงพยากรณ์กล่าวโทษพวกเขา มนุษย์เอ๋ย จงพยากรณ์”
5And the spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and He said unto me: 'Speak: Thus saith the LORD: Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.
5แล้วพระวิญญาณของพระยาห์เวห์ลงมาเหนือข้าพเจ้า และพระองค์ตรัสว่า “จงพูดว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ ชนอิสราเอลเอ๋ย พวกเจ้าพูดเช่นนั้น และเรารู้ความคิดที่ผุดขึ้นในใจของพวกเจ้า
6Ye have multiplied your slain in this city, and ye have filled the streets thereof with the slain.
6พวกเจ้าได้ฆ่าคนมากมายในเมืองนี้ และทำให้ถนนเต็มไปด้วยศพ’
7Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this city is the caldron; but ye shall be brought forth out of the midst of it.
7“‘เพราะฉะนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ “คนที่พวกเจ้าฆ่าและทิ้งไว้กลางเมืองต่างหากคือเนื้อ และเมืองนี้คือหม้อ แต่พวกเจ้าจะถูกนำออกจากกลางเมือง
8Ye have feared the sword; and the sword will I bring upon you, saith the Lord GOD.
8พวกเจ้ากลัวดาบ และเราจะนำดาบมาเหนือพวกเจ้า” พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้
9And I will bring you forth out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.
9“เราจะนำพวกเจ้าออกจากกลางเมือง มอบพวกเจ้าไว้ในมือคนต่างชาติ และพิพากษาพวกเจ้า
10Ye shall fall by the sword: I will judge you upon the border of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
10พวกเจ้าจะล้มด้วยดาบ เราจะพิพากษาพวกเจ้าที่เขตแดนอิสราเอล แล้วพวกเจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์
11Though this city shall not be your caldron, ye shall be the flesh in the midst thereof; I will judge you upon the border of Israel;
11เมืองนี้จะไม่เป็นหม้อสำหรับพวกเจ้า และพวกเจ้าจะไม่เป็นเนื้ออยู่กลางหม้อนั้น เราจะพิพากษาพวกเจ้าที่เขตแดนอิสราเอล
12and ye shall know that I am the LORD; for ye have not walked in My statutes, neither have ye executed Mine ordinances, but have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you.'
12แล้วพวกเจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์ เพราะพวกเจ้าไม่ได้ดำเนินตามข้อกำหนดของเรา ไม่ได้ทำตามคำตัดสินของเรา แต่ทำตามกฎเกณฑ์ของประชาชาติที่อยู่รอบพวกเจ้า”’”
13And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said: 'Ah Lord GOD! wilt Thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?'
13ขณะที่ข้าพเจ้ากำลังพยากรณ์ เปลาทียาห์บุตรเบไนยาห์ก็เสียชีวิต ข้าพเจ้าจึงซบหน้าลงและร้องเสียงดังว่า “โอ พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์! พระองค์จะทรงทำลายชนอิสราเอลที่เหลืออยู่จนหมดสิ้นหรือ?”
14And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
14พระดำรัสของพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า
15'Son of man, as for thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, all of them, concerning whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said: Get you far from the LORD! unto us is this land given for a possession;
15“มนุษย์เอ๋ย พี่น้องของเจ้า ญาติของเจ้า และชนอิสราเอลทั้งหมด คือผู้ที่ชาวเยรูซาเล็มพูดกับพวกเขาว่า ‘จงอยู่ให้ห่างจากพระยาห์เวห์ แผ่นดินนี้ยกให้พวกเราเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์แล้ว’
16therefore say: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Although I have removed them far off among the nations, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet have I been to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they are come;
16“เพราะฉะนั้นจงบอกพวกเขาว่า ‘พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ แม้เราจะให้พวกเขาไปอยู่ไกลท่ามกลางประชาชาติ และกระจายพวกเขาไปตามดินแดนต่าง ๆ แต่ในดินแดนที่พวกเขาไปอยู่นั้น เราจะเป็นสถานบริสุทธิ์ให้พวกเขาชั่วระยะหนึ่ง’
17therefore say: Thus saith the Lord GOD: I will even gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
17“เพราะฉะนั้นจงบอกว่า ‘พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ เราจะรวบรวมพวกเจ้าจากชนชาติต่าง ๆ และนำพวกเจ้ากลับมาจากดินแดนที่พวกเจ้ากระจัดกระจายอยู่ แล้วเราจะมอบแผ่นดินอิสราเอลให้พวกเจ้า
18And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.
18“‘พวกเขาจะกลับมาที่นั่น และกำจัดสิ่งน่าขยะแขยงและสิ่งน่ารังเกียจทั้งหมดออกไป
19And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;
19เราจะให้พวกเขามีใจเป็นหนึ่ง และใส่วิญญาณใหม่ไว้ภายใน เราจะเอาใจหินออกจากร่างของพวกเขา แล้วให้ใจเนื้อแก่พวกเขา
20that they may walk in My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances, and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.
20เพื่อพวกเขาจะดำเนินตามข้อกำหนดของเรา รักษาคำตัดสินของเราและปฏิบัติตาม พวกเขาจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา และเราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของพวกเขา
21But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.'
21แต่คนที่ใจยังติดตามสิ่งน่าขยะแขยงและสิ่งน่ารังเกียจของตน เราจะให้การกระทำของพวกเขาย้อนกลับมาสนองตัวพวกเขาเอง’ พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้”
22Then did the cherubim lift up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
22แล้วพวกเครูบกางปีก โดยมีล้ออยู่ข้าง ๆ และความรุ่งโรจน์ของพระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลอยู่เหนือพวกเขา
23And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
23ความรุ่งโรจน์ของพระยาห์เวห์เคลื่อนขึ้นจากกลางเมือง และไปหยุดอยู่บนภูเขาทางตะวันออกของเมือง
24And a spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from Me.
24พระวิญญาณยกข้าพเจ้าขึ้น และพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าพาข้าพเจ้ากลับไปในนิมิตยังพวกเชลยในแผ่นดินเคลเดีย แล้วนิมิตที่ข้าพเจ้าเห็นก็เลื่อนขึ้นจากข้าพเจ้าไป
25Then I spoke unto them of the captivity all the things that the LORD had shown me.
25ข้าพเจ้าจึงเล่าให้พวกเชลยฟังทุกสิ่งที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงสำแดงแก่ข้าพเจ้า
