1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
1พระดำรัสของพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า
2'Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own heart: Hear ye the word of the LORD:
2“มนุษย์เอ๋ย จงพยากรณ์กล่าวโทษผู้พยากรณ์ของอิสราเอลที่กำลังพยากรณ์ และบอกคนที่พยากรณ์ตามใจคิดของตนว่า ‘จงฟังพระดำรัสของพระยาห์เวห์
3Thus saith the Lord GOD: Woe unto the vile prophets, that follow their own spirit, and things which they have not seen!
3พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ วิบัติแก่ผู้พยากรณ์โง่เขลา ผู้ทำตามความคิดของตนทั้งที่ไม่ได้เห็นอะไรเลย!
4O Israel, thy prophets have been like foxes in ruins.
4อิสราเอลเอ๋ย ผู้พยากรณ์ของเจ้าเป็นเหมือนหมาจิ้งจอกในที่รกร้าง
5Ye have not gone up into the breaches, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
5พวกเจ้าไม่ได้ขึ้นไปอุดช่องโหว่หรือซ่อมกำแพงให้ชนอิสราเอล เพื่อให้พวกเขายืนหยัดในสงครามเมื่อถึงวันของพระยาห์เวห์
6They have seen vanity and lying divination, that say: The LORD saith; and the LORD hath not sent them, yet they hope that the word would be confirmed!
6พวกเขาเห็นนิมิตเท็จและทำนายโกหก พูดว่า “พระยาห์เวห์ตรัส” ทั้งที่พระยาห์เวห์ไม่ได้ส่งพวกเขา แต่พวกเขากลับทำให้คนหวังว่าคำพูดนั้นจะเป็นจริง
7Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say: The LORD saith; albeit I have not spoken?
7พวกเจ้าเห็นนิมิตเท็จและกล่าวคำทำนายโกหกไม่ใช่หรือ? พวกเจ้าพูดว่า “พระยาห์เวห์ตรัส” ทั้งที่เราไม่ได้พูด
8Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.
8“‘เพราะฉะนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ “เพราะพวกเจ้าพูดสิ่งเท็จและเห็นนิมิตโกหก เราจึงเป็นศัตรูกับพวกเจ้า” พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้
9And My hand shall be against the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies; they shall not be in the council of My people, neither shall they be written in the register of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
9“มือของเราจะต่อสู้ผู้พยากรณ์ที่เห็นนิมิตเท็จและกล่าวคำทำนายโกหก พวกเขาจะไม่ได้อยู่ในที่ประชุมของประชาชนของเรา ชื่อจะไม่ถูกบันทึกไว้ในทะเบียนของชนอิสราเอล และจะไม่ได้เข้าแผ่นดินอิสราเอล แล้วพวกเจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์
10Because, even because they have led My people astray, saying: Peace, and there is no peace; and when it buildeth up a slight wall, behold, they daub it with whited plaster;
10“‘เพราะพวกเขาหลอกประชาชนของเราโดยพูดว่า “สันติภาพ” ทั้งที่ไม่มีสันติภาพ เมื่อมีคนสร้างกำแพง พวกเขาก็ฉาบปูนขาวทับไว้
11say unto them that daub it with whited plaster, that it shall fall; there shall be an overflowing shower, and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall, and a stormy wind shall break forth,
11จงบอกคนที่ฉาบปูนขาวว่ากำแพงนั้นจะพัง ฝนจะเทลงมาอย่างหนัก ลูกเห็บก้อนใหญ่จะตก และลมพายุจะฉีกมันออก
12and, lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you: Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
12เมื่อกำแพงพังลง คนจะถามพวกเจ้าไม่ใช่หรือว่า “ปูนที่พวกเจ้าฉาบไว้อยู่ที่ไหน?”
13Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: I will even cause a stormy wind to break forth in My fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in Mine anger, and great hailstones in fury to consume it.
13“‘เพราะฉะนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ “ด้วยความเดือดดาล เราจะให้ลมพายุฉีกมัน ฝนจะเทลงมาด้วยความโกรธของเรา และลูกเห็บก้อนใหญ่จะตกลงมาทำลายด้วยความเดือดดาล
14So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with whited plaster, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be uncovered; and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
14เราจะรื้อกำแพงที่พวกเจ้าฉาบปูนขาวลงถึงพื้น จนฐานรากถูกเปิดออก มันจะพัง และพวกเจ้าจะพินาศอยู่ท่ามกลางซากนั้น แล้วพวกเจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์
15Thus will I spend My fury upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with whited plaster; and I will say unto you: The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
15เราจะระบายความเดือดดาลเหนือกำแพงและคนที่ฉาบปูนขาวจนหมด แล้วจะบอกพวกเจ้าว่า ‘กำแพงไม่มีแล้ว และคนที่ฉาบมันก็ไม่มีแล้ว’
16to wit, the prophets of Israel that prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and that see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.
16คนเหล่านั้นคือผู้พยากรณ์ของอิสราเอลที่พยากรณ์เรื่องเยรูซาเล็ม และเห็นนิมิตแห่งสันติภาพให้นาง ทั้งที่ไม่มีสันติภาพ” พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้’”
17And thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, that prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
17“ส่วนเจ้า มนุษย์เอ๋ย จงหันหน้าไปกล่าวโทษพวกผู้หญิงในชนชาติของเจ้า ซึ่งพยากรณ์ตามใจคิดของตน
18and say: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Woe to the women that sew cushions upon all elbows, and make pads for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of My people, and save souls alive for yourselves?
18จงบอกว่า ‘พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ วิบัติแก่ผู้หญิงที่เย็บสายเวทมนตร์ไว้ที่ข้อศอกทั้งหลาย และทำผ้าคลุมศีรษะสำหรับคนทุกส่วนสูง เพื่อดักจับชีวิต! พวกเจ้าจะดักจับชีวิตของประชาชนของเรา แล้วรักษาชีวิตของตัวเองไว้หรือ?
19And ye have profaned Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for crumbs of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to My people that hearken unto lies.
19พวกเจ้าทำให้เราเสื่อมความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ท่ามกลางประชาชนของเรา เพื่อแลกกับข้าวบาร์เลย์ไม่กี่กำมือและขนมปังไม่กี่ชิ้น พวกเจ้าฆ่าคนที่ไม่ควรตาย และรักษาชีวิตคนที่ไม่ควรอยู่ ด้วยการโกหกประชาชนของเราที่ชอบฟังคำโกหก’
20Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against your cushions, wherewith ye hunt the souls as birds, and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt as birds.
20“เพราะฉะนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ ‘เราจะจัดการกับสายเวทมนตร์ที่พวกเจ้าใช้ดักจับชีวิตเพื่อทำให้พวกเขาบินไป เราจะฉีกมันออกจากแขนของพวกเจ้า และปล่อยชีวิตที่พวกเจ้าดักไว้ให้บินเป็นอิสระเหมือนนก
21Your pads also will I tear, and deliver My people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
21เราจะฉีกผ้าคลุมของพวกเจ้า และช่วยประชาชนของเราให้พ้นจากมือของพวกเจ้า พวกเขาจะไม่เป็นเหยื่อในมือพวกเจ้าอีก แล้วพวกเจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์
22Because with lies ye have cowed the heart of the righteous, when I have not grieved him; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, that he be saved alive;
22เพราะพวกเจ้าใช้คำโกหกทำให้คนชอบธรรมเสียใจ ทั้งที่เราไม่ได้ทำให้เขาเสียใจ และกลับให้กำลังคนชั่วจนเขาไม่หันจากทางชั่วเพื่อรักษาชีวิตไว้
23therefore ye shall no more see vanity, nor divine divinations; and I will deliver My people out of your hand; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.'
23เพราะฉะนั้นพวกเจ้าจะไม่ได้เห็นนิมิตเท็จหรือทำนายอีก เราจะช่วยประชาชนของเราให้พ้นจากมือพวกเจ้า แล้วพวกเจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์’”
