1And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
1ในปีที่สิบเอ็ด เดือนที่สาม วันที่หนึ่งของเดือน พระดำรัสของพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า
2'Son of man, say unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude: whom art thou like in thy greatness?
2“มนุษย์เอ๋ย จงบอกฟาโรห์กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์กับฝูงชนของเขาว่า ‘ในความยิ่งใหญ่ของเจ้า เจ้าเหมือนใคร?
3Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon, with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of a high stature; and its top was among the thick boughs.
3ดูสิ อัสซีเรียเคยเป็นเหมือนสนซีดาร์ในเลบานอน กิ่งงดงาม ให้ร่มเงาเหมือนป่า สูงใหญ่ ยอดอยู่ท่ามกลางพุ่มกิ่งหนา
4The waters nourished it, the deep made it to grow; her rivers ran round about her plantation, and she sent out her conduits unto all the trees of the field.
4น้ำเลี้ยงมัน ห้วงลึกทำให้มันเติบโต แม่น้ำไหลรอบที่ปลูก และส่งลำธารไปยังต้นไม้ทุกต้นในทุ่ง
5Therefore its stature was exalted above all the trees of the field; and its boughs were multiplied, and its branches became long, because of the multitude of waters, when it shot them forth.
5มันจึงสูงกว่าต้นไม้ทุกต้นในทุ่ง กิ่งก้านเพิ่มพูน กิ่งยาวออกเพราะน้ำมากมาย เมื่อมันแผ่กิ่ง
6All the fowls of heaven made their nests in its boughs, and all the beasts of the field did bring forth their young under its branches, and under its shadow dwelt all great nations.
6นกทุกชนิดบนท้องฟ้าทำรังตามกิ่ง สัตว์ทุกชนิดในทุ่งคลอดลูกใต้กิ่ง ประชาชาติใหญ่ทั้งหลายอาศัยใต้ร่มเงา
7Thus was it fair in its greatness, in the length of its branches; for its root was by many waters.
7มันงดงามด้วยความใหญ่โต และกิ่งยาว เพราะรากอยู่ริมน้ำมากมาย
8The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it; the cypress-trees were not like its boughs, and the plane-trees were not as its branches; nor was any tree in the garden of God like unto it in its beauty.
8แม้สนซีดาร์ในสวนของพระเจ้าก็บดบังมันไม่ได้ ต้นไซเปรสไม่มีกิ่งเหมือนมัน ต้นสนก็เทียบกิ่งของมันไม่ได้ ไม่มีต้นใดในสวนของพระเจ้างามเท่ามัน
9I made it fair by the multitude of its branches; so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied it.
9เราทำให้มันงดงามด้วยกิ่งมากมาย จนต้นไม้ทุกต้นในเอเดน ซึ่งอยู่ในสวนของพระเจ้า อิจฉามัน’
10Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thou art exalted in stature, and he hath set his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;
10“เพราะฉะนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ ‘เพราะมันยกตัวสูง ยอดขึ้นไปอยู่ท่ามกลางพุ่มกิ่งหนา และใจยโสเพราะความสูง
11I do even deliver him into the hand of the mighty one of the nations; he shall surely deal with him; I do drive him out according to his wickedness.
11เราจึงมอบมันไว้ในมือผู้ทรงอำนาจแห่งประชาชาติ เขาจะจัดการมันอย่างแน่นอน เราขับมันออกเพราะความชั่ว
12And strangers, the terrible of the nations, do cut him off, and cast him down; upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs lie broken in all the channels of the land; and all the peoples of the earth do go down from his shadow, and do leave him.
12คนต่างชาติ ผู้โหดร้ายแห่งประชาชาติ ฟันมันลงแล้วทิ้งไว้ กิ่งตกตามภูเขาและหุบเขา กิ่งก้านหักอยู่ตามลำธารทั่วแผ่นดิน ชนทุกชาติบนโลกออกจากร่มเงาและทอดทิ้งมัน
13Upon his carcass all the fowls of the heaven do dwell, and upon his branches are all the beasts of the field;
13นกทุกชนิดบนท้องฟ้าจะมาอยู่บนซาก และสัตว์ทุกชนิดในทุ่งจะอยู่ตามกิ่งของมัน
14to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, neither set their top among the thick boughs, nor that their mighty ones stand up in their height, even all that drink water; for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.
14เพื่อไม่มีต้นไม้ริมน้ำต้นใดยกตนเพราะความสูง หรือชูยอดเข้าไปในพุ่มกิ่งหนา และไม่มีต้นใหญ่ใดที่ดื่มน้ำจะตั้งตนสูง เพราะทั้งหมดถูกมอบให้แก่ความตาย ลงสู่ส่วนลึกของแผ่นดิน อยู่ท่ามกลางมนุษย์กับผู้ที่ลงสู่หลุม’
15Thus saith the Lord GOD: In the day when he went down to the nether-world I caused the deep to mourn and cover itself for him, and I restrained the rivers thereof, and the great waters were stayed; and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.
15“พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ ‘ในวันที่มันลงสู่เชโอล เราทำให้เกิดการไว้ทุกข์ เราปิดห้วงลึกเพราะมัน กั้นแม่น้ำและหยุดน้ำมหาศาล เราทำให้เลบานอนไว้ทุกข์ และต้นไม้ทุกต้นในทุ่งเหี่ยวเฉาเพราะมัน
16I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to the nether-world with them that descend into the pit; and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
16เราทำให้ประชาชาติสั่นสะเทือนด้วยเสียงที่มันล้ม เมื่อเราเหวี่ยงมันลงสู่เชโอล พร้อมกับผู้ที่ลงสู่หลุม ต้นไม้ทั้งหมดแห่งเอเดน ต้นชั้นดีและดีที่สุดของเลบานอน ทุกต้นที่ดื่มน้ำ ต่างได้รับการปลอบใจในส่วนลึกของแผ่นดิน
17They also went down into the nether-world with him unto them that are slain by the sword; yea, they that were in his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the nations.
17พวกเขาลงสู่เชโอลพร้อมกับมัน ไปหาผู้ถูกฆ่าด้วยดาบ รวมทั้งผู้ที่เคยเป็นกำลังหนุนของมันและอาศัยใต้ร่มเงาของมันท่ามกลางประชาชาติ
18To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shall thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth; thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that are slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.'
18“‘ในบรรดาต้นไม้แห่งเอเดน มีใครบ้างที่รุ่งโรจน์และยิ่งใหญ่เหมือนเจ้า? ถึงกระนั้น เจ้าจะถูกนำลงไปพร้อมต้นไม้แห่งเอเดนสู่ส่วนลึกของแผ่นดิน เจ้าจะนอนอยู่ท่ามกลางคนไม่เข้าสุหนัต ร่วมกับผู้ถูกฆ่าด้วยดาบ “‘นี่คือฟาโรห์และฝูงชนทั้งหมดของเขา’ พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้”
