1In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
1ในปีที่สิบ เดือนที่สิบ วันที่สิบสองของเดือน พระดำรัสของพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า
2'Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt;
2“มนุษย์เอ๋ย จงหันหน้าไปทางฟาโรห์กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ แล้วพยากรณ์กล่าวโทษเขาและอียิปต์ทั้งหมด
3speak, and say: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh King of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, that hath said: My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
3จงพูดว่า ‘พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ “ฟาโรห์กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์เอ๋ย เราเป็นศัตรูกับเจ้า เจ้าสัตว์ประหลาดตัวใหญ่ที่นอนอยู่กลางแม่น้ำของตน ผู้พูดว่า ‘แม่น้ำเป็นของเรา เราสร้างมันขึ้นเพื่อตัวเราเอง’
4And I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales; and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.
4เราจะเอาเบ็ดเกี่ยวขากรรไกรเจ้า และทำให้ปลาในแม่น้ำติดเกล็ดของเจ้า เราจะลากเจ้าออกจากกลางแม่น้ำ พร้อมปลาทั้งหมดที่ติดเกล็ดเจ้า
5And I will cast thee into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers; thou shalt fall upon the open field; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered; to the beasts of the earth and to the fowls of the heaven have I given thee for food.
5แล้วโยนเจ้าออกไปในถิ่นทุรกันดาร ทั้งเจ้าและปลาทั้งหมดในแม่น้ำ เจ้าจะล้มอยู่กลางทุ่ง ไม่มีใครเก็บหรือรวบรวมเจ้า เราจะมอบเจ้าเป็นอาหารแก่สัตว์บนแผ่นดิน และนกบนท้องฟ้า
6And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
6“‘“ชาวอียิปต์ทั้งหมดจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์ เพราะพวกเขาเป็นเพียงไม้เท้าต้นอ้อให้ชนอิสราเอลพึ่ง
7When they take hold of thee with the hand, thou dost break, and rend all their shoulders; and when they lean upon thee, thou breakest, and makest all their loins to be at a stand.
7เมื่ออิสราเอลจับเจ้าไว้ในมือ เจ้าก็หักจนทำให้ไหล่ของพวกเขาบาดเจ็บ เมื่อพวกเขาพิงเจ้า เจ้าก็หักและทำให้ต้นขาของพวกเขาหมดแรง”
8Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and will cut off from thee man and beast.
8“‘เพราะฉะนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ “เราจะนำดาบมาเหนือเจ้า และกำจัดทั้งคนและสัตว์ออกจากเจ้า
9And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste, and they shall know that I am the LORD; because he hath said: The river is mine, and I have made it.
9แผ่นดินอียิปต์จะร้างเปล่าและพินาศ แล้วพวกเขาจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์ “‘“เพราะฟาโรห์พูดว่า ‘แม่น้ำเป็นของเรา และเราสร้างมันขึ้น’
10Therefore, behold, I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from Migdol to Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
10เราจึงเป็นศัตรูกับเจ้าและแม่น้ำของเจ้า เราจะทำให้แผ่นดินอียิปต์พินาศและร้างเปล่าอย่างสิ้นเชิง ตั้งแต่หอคอยเซเวเนห์ไปจนถึงเขตแดนเอธิโอเปีย
11No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
11จะไม่มีเท้ามนุษย์หรือเท้าสัตว์ผ่านไป และไม่มีผู้ใดอาศัยอยู่เป็นเวลาสี่สิบปี
12And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
12เราจะทำให้แผ่นดินอียิปต์ร้างเปล่าท่ามกลางดินแดนที่ร้าง เมืองต่าง ๆ ของนางจะร้างอยู่ท่ามกลางเมืองที่ถูกทำลายเป็นเวลาสี่สิบปี เราจะกระจายชาวอียิปต์ไปท่ามกลางประชาชาติ และทำให้กระจัดกระจายตามดินแดนต่าง ๆ”
13For thus saith the Lord GOD: At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the peoples whither they were scattered;
13“‘เพราะพระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ “เมื่อครบสี่สิบปี เราจะรวบรวมชาวอียิปต์จากชนชาติต่าง ๆ ที่พวกเขากระจัดกระจายอยู่
14and I will turn the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their origin; and they shall be there a lowly kingdom.
14เราจะฟื้นฟูอียิปต์จากการเป็นเชลย และให้พวกเขากลับไปยังแผ่นดินปัทโรส ซึ่งเป็นถิ่นกำเนิดของพวกเขา ที่นั่นพวกเขาจะเป็นอาณาจักรต่ำต้อย
15It shall be the lowliest of the kingdoms, neither shall it any more lift itself up above the nations; and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
15อียิปต์จะต่ำต้อยที่สุดในบรรดาอาณาจักร จะไม่ยกตนเหนือประชาชาติอีก เราจะลดกำลังพวกเขาจนไม่สามารถปกครองประชาชาติอื่นได้
16And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they turn after them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.'
16อียิปต์จะไม่เป็นที่พึ่งของชนอิสราเอลอีก เพราะเมื่ออิสราเอลหันไปพึ่งพาอียิปต์ ก็ทำให้ความผิดของตนถูกระลึกขึ้นมา แล้วพวกเขาจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์”’”
17And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
17ในปีที่ยี่สิบเจ็ด เดือนที่หนึ่ง วันที่หนึ่งของเดือน พระดำรัสของพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า
18'Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre; every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled; yet had he no wages, nor his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it;
18“มนุษย์เอ๋ย นาบูคัดเนสซาร์กษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลนให้กองทัพทำงานหนักอย่างยิ่งในการรบกับไทระ ทุกคนศีรษะโล้นและไหล่ถลอกจากงานหนัก แต่ทั้งเขาและกองทัพไม่ได้ค่าจ้างจากไทระสำหรับงานที่ทำ
19Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her abundance, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.
19เพราะฉะนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้ ‘เราจะมอบแผ่นดินอียิปต์ให้นาบูคัดเนสซาร์กษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลน เขาจะกวาดเอาฝูงชน ปล้นทรัพย์และยึดของ นั่นจะเป็นค่าจ้างแก่กองทัพของเขา
20I have given him the land of Egypt as his hire for which he served, because they wrought for Me, saith the Lord GOD.
20เรามอบแผ่นดินอียิปต์ให้เขาเป็นค่าตอบแทนงานที่ทำ เพราะพวกเขาทำงานให้เรา’ พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสดังนี้
21In that day will I cause a horn to shoot up unto the house of Israel, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.'
21“ในวันนั้นเราจะทำให้เขาแห่งอำนาจงอกขึ้นสำหรับชนอิสราเอล และจะเปิดปากของเจ้าให้พูดท่ามกลางพวกเขา แล้วพวกเขาจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์”
