1Заклињем те, дакле, пред Богом и Господом нашим Исусом Христом, који ће судити живима и мртвима, доласком Његовим и царством Његовим:
1I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom:
2Проповедај реч, настој у добро време и у невреме, покарај, запрети, умоли са сваким сношењем и учењем;
2Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine.
3јер ће доћи време кад здраве науке неће слушати, него ће по својим жељама накупити себи учитеље, као што их уши сврбе,
3For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears:
4и одвратиће уши од истине, и окренуће се ка гаталицама.
4And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables.
5А ти буди трезан у свачему, трпи зло, учини дело јеванђелиста, службу своју сврши.
5But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. Be sober.
6Јер ја се већ жртвујем, и време мог одласка наста.
6For I am even now ready to be sacrificed: and the time of my dissolution is at hand.
7Добар рат ратовах, трку сврших, веру одржах.
7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
8Даље, дакле, мени је приправљен венац правде, који ће ми дати Господ у дан онај, праведни судија; али не само мени, него свима који се радују Његовом доласку.
8As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice, which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming. Make haste to come to me quickly.
9Постарај се да дођеш брзо к мени;
9For Demas hath left me, loving this world, and is gone to Thessalonica:
10јер ме Димас остави, омилевши му садашњи свет, и отиде у Солун; Крискент у Галатију, Тит у Далмацију; Лука је сам код мене.
10Crescens into Galatia, Titus into Dalmatia.
11Марка узми и доведи га са собом; јер ми је добар за службу.
11Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
12А Тихика послао сам у Ефес.
12But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
13Кад дођеш донеси ми кабаницу што сам оставио у Троади код Карпа, и књиге, а особито кожне.
13The cloak that I left at Troas, with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, especially the parchments.
14Александар ковач много ми зла учини. Да му Господ плати по делу његовом.
14Alexander the coppersmith hath done me much evil: the Lord will reward him according to his works:
15Чувај се и ти од њега; јер се врло противи нашим речима.
15Whom do thou also avoid, for he hath greatly withstood our words.
16У први мој одговор нико не оста са мном, него ме сви оставише. Да им се не прими!
16At my first answer no man stood with me, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge.
17Али Господ би са мном и даде ми помоћ да се кроза ме сврши проповедање, и да чују сви незнабошци; и избавих се од уста лавових.
17But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching may be accomplished, and that all the Gentiles may hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18И Господ ће ме избавити од сваког злог дела, и сачуваће ме за царство своје небеско; коме слава ва век века. Амин.
18The Lord hath delivered me from every evil work: and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
19Поздрави Прискилу и Акилу, и Онисифоров дом.
19Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
20Ераст оста у Коринту. А Трофима оставих у Милету болесног.
20Erastus remained at Corinth. And Trophimus I left sick at Miletus.
21Постарај се да дођеш пре зиме. Поздравља те Еувул, и Пуд, и Лин, и Клаудија, и браћа сва.
21Make haste to come before winter Eubulus and Pudens, and Linus and Claudia, and all the brethren, salute thee.
22Господ Исус Христос са духом твојим. Благодат с вама. Амин.
22The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
