1A Song of Ascents. LORD, remember unto David all his affliction;
1Aw BOEIPA David ham a phaep pah te boeih poek pah.
2How he swore unto the LORD, and vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:
2BOEIPA taengah a caeng tih Jakob samrhang taengah khaw a caeng coeng.
3'Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, nor go up into the bed that is spread for me;
3Ka dap im khuila ka pawk pawt vetih ka soengca rhaenghmuen khaw ka paan mahpawh.
4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids;
4Ka mik te ih sak ham, ka mikkhu te ngam sak ham ka pae mahpawh.
5Until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob.'
5BOEIPA ham a hmuen neh Jakob kah samrhang ham tolhmuen ka hmuh duela.
6Lo, we heard of it as being in Ephrath; we found it in the field of the wood.
6Khohmuen duup ah m'hmuh te Epharath ah khaw n'yaak uh coeng.
7Let us go into His dwelling-place; let us worship at His footstool.
7A tolhmuen la cet uh sih lamtah a kho kah khotloeng taengah bawk uh sih.
8Arise, O LORD, unto Thy resting-place; Thou, and the ark of Thy strength.
8Aw BOEIPA nang na duemnah neh na sarhi thingkawng taengah thoo lah.
9Let Thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let Thy saints shout for joy.
9Na khosoih rhoek loh duengnah bai uh saeh lamtah na hlangcim rhoek loh tamhoe uh saeh.
10For Thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of Thine anointed.
10Na sal David ham tah na koelh kah maelhmai te na mangthuung tak moenih.
11The LORD swore unto David in truth; He will not turn back from it: 'Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
11BOEIPA loh David taengah oltak la a caeng coeng. Na bungko thaihtae lamkah khaw te lamloh mael pawt vetih nang ham ngolkhoel soah kang khueh bitni.
12If thy children keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children also for ever shall sit upon thy throne.'
12Ka paipi neh amih ka tukkil ka olphong te na ca rhoek loh a ngaithuen uh atah a ca rhoek khaw na ngolkhoel dongah a yoeyah la ngol uh ni.
13For the LORD hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation:
13BOEIPA loh Zion te a coelh tih amah tolrhum la a sahnaih thil.
14'This is My resting-place for ever; here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
14Ka duemnah he ka sahnaih coeng dongah a yoeyah la pahoi ka ngol thil ni.
15I will abundantly bless her provision; I will give her needy bread in plenty.
15A sakah te ka uem ka uem pah vetih a khuikah khodaeng rhoek te buh ka cung sak ni.
16Her priests also will I clothe with salvation; and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
16Te vaengah a khosoih rhoek te khangnah ka bai sak vetih a hlangcim rhoek loh tamhoe la tamhoe uh ni.
17There will I make a horn to shoot up unto David, there have I ordered a lamp for Mine anointed.
17David ham ki pahoi ka cawn sak vetih ka koelh ham hmaithoi ka tok pah ni.
18His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown shine.'
