1A Song of Ascents. In my distress I called unto the LORD, and He answered me.
1Kamah kah citcai khuiah BOEIPA te ka khue tih kai n'doo.
2O LORD, deliver my soul from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.
2BOEIPA aw ka hinglu he laithae hmuilai lamkah neh palyal ol lamloh huul lah.
3What shall be given unto thee, and what shall be done more unto thee, thou deceitful tongue?
3Palyal ol te nang taengah bahamnim m'paek vetih bahamnim nang taengah hang koei eh ?
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of broom.
4Hlangrhalh kah thaltang khaw hlingcet alh bangla sum yipkip.
5Woe is me, that I sojourn with Meshech, that I dwell beside the tents of Kedar!
5Meshek ah ka bakuep tih Kedar dap ah kho ka sak dongah kai ngawn tah ka tuisawih coeng!
6My soul hath full long had her dwelling with him that hateth peace.

7I am all peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
7Kai loh rhoepnah ka thui vaengah amih te caemtloek la thoo uh.
