1A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I called Thee, O LORD.
1A dung lamloh BOEIPA nang kang khue.
2Lord, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
2Boeip a aw ka ol he ya lamtah ka huithuinah ol te na hna phek kaeng lah.
3If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
3Ka Boeipa Yahovah aw thaesainah he na dawn koinih unim aka pai thai eh?
4For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.
4Tedae namah taengkah khodawkngainah daengah ni n'rhih uh pueng.
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.
5Ka lamtawn BOEIPA te ka hinglu loh a lamtawn tih a ol dongah ka ngaiuep.
6My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning.

7O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.
