1A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I called Thee, O LORD.
1MAILOKO o na wahi hohonu, ua kahea aku au i oe, e Iehova.
2Lord, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
2E ka Haku e, e hoolohe mai oe i ko'u leo; E haliu mai kou pepeiao i ka leo o ko'u nonoi ana.
3If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
3Ina ma ka hala oe e haka pono mai ai, e Iehova, E ka Haku, owai la ka mea e ku.
4For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.
4Aka, ma ou la ke kala ana o ka hala, I makauia'ku ai oe.
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.
5Ke kakali nei au, ke kakali nei ko'u uhane ia Iehova, A ke hoolana nei au ma kana olelo.
6My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning.
6Ua oi aku ke kakali ana o ko'u uhane i ka Haku, Mamua o ko ka poe kiai kakali ana i ke ao.
7O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.
7E kakali o ka Iseraela ia Iehova, no ka mea, Me Iehova no ka lokomaikai, a me ia no hoi ka hoolapanai nui wale.
8And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
8Nana no e hoolapanai i ka Iseraela, Mailoko aku o ko lakou hewa a pau.
