1A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I called Thee, O LORD.
1Aw Angraeng, kathuk ahmuen hoiah nang khaeah ka hangh.
2Lord, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
2Aw Angraeng, ka lok hae tahngai ah; tahmen kang hnikhaih lok bangah na naa to patueng ah.
3If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
3Angraeng, nang, zaehaihnawk to na pakuem soe nahaeloe, Aw Angraeng angdoe thai koi mi maw om tih?
4For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.
4Toe nang to zit thai hanah, kaicae hae nang tahmen boeh.
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.
5Kai loe Angraeng ni ka zing, ka hinghaih mah anih to zing, a lok ah oephaih to ka suek.
6My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning.
6Khodai zing kaminawk, khodai zing kaminawk pong kamthlai ah, ka hinghaih mah Angraeng to zing.
7O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.
7Angraeng ah palungnathaih hoi pop parai pahlonghaih oh pongah, Israel mah a oephaih to Angraeng ah suem nasoe.
8And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
8Anih mah Israel to zaehaihnawk boih thung hoiah akrang tih.
