1さらに、主の言葉が私に臨んだ。
1Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
2「人の子よ、あなたは裁くのか、流血の町を裁くのか。それなら、その町にすべての忌むべき行いを知らせよ。
2'Now, thou, son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? then cause her to know all her abominations.
3あなたはこう言え。『主なる神はこう言われる。「自らの時を招くために、その中で血を流し、自らを汚すために偶像を造る町よ。
3And thou shalt say: Thus saith the Lord GOD: O city that sheddest blood in the midst of thee, that thy time may come, and that makest idols unto thyself to defile thee;
4あなたは自分が流した血によって罪ある者となり、自分が造った偶像によって汚れた。あなたは自分の日々を近づけ、自分の年月の終わりに達した。それゆえ、わたしはあなたを諸国のそしりとし、すべての国々のあざけりとした。
4thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed, and art defiled in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years; therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the nations, and a mocking to all the countries!
5近くにいる者も、あなたから遠く離れている者も、悪名高く、騒乱に満ちたあなたをあざける。
5Those that are near, and those that are far from thee, shall mock thee, thou defiled of name and full of tumult.
6見よ、イスラエルの君主たちは、それぞれ自分の力に任せて、あなたの中で血を流した。
6Behold, the princes of Israel, every one according to his might, have been in thee to shed blood.
7あなたの中で、人々は父と母を軽蔑した。 あなたの中で寄留者を虐げ、あなたの中で父のない子とやもめを苦しめた。
7In thee have they made light of father and mother; in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger; in thee have they wronged the fatherless and the widow.
8あなたはわたしの聖なるものを軽蔑し、わたしの安息日を汚した。
8Thou hast despised My holy things, and hast profaned My sabbaths.
9あなたの中には、人を中傷し、血を流す者たちがいた。あなたの中で、人々は山の聖所で食べ、淫らな行いをした。
9In thee have been talebearers to shed blood; and in thee they have eaten upon the mountains; in the midst of thee they have committed lewdness.
10あなたの中で、人々は父の裸をあらわにし、月のものによって汚れている女を辱めた。
10In thee have they uncovered their fathers' nakedness; in thee have they humbled her that was unclean in her impurity.
11ある者は隣人の妻と忌むべきことを行い、ある者は嫁を淫らに汚し、またある者は父の娘である自分の姉妹を辱めた。
11And each hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and each hath lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and each in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.
12あなたの中で、人々は血を流すために賄賂を受け取った。あなたは利息と高利を取り、虐げによって隣人から不当な利益をむさぼり、わたしを忘れた」と主なる神は言われる。
12In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken interest and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by oppression, and hast forgotten Me, saith the Lord GOD.
13「見よ、それゆえ、わたしはあなたが得た不正な利益と、あなたの中で流された血のために手を打った。
13Behold, therefore, I have smitten My hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.
14わたしがあなたを扱う日に、あなたの心は耐えられるだろうか。あなたの手はなお強くあり続けられるだろうか。主であるわたしが語った。わたしはそれを行う。
14Can thy heart endure, or can thy hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.
15わたしはあなたを諸国の間に散らし、国々の中に追い散らす。わたしはあなたの汚れをあなたの中から取り除く。
15And I will scatter thee among the nations, and disperse thee through the countries; and I will consume thy filthiness out of thee.
16あなた自身が諸国の目の前で汚される。そのとき、あなたは、わたしが主であることを知る。」』」
16And thou shalt be profaned in thyself, in the sight of the nations; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.'
17主の言葉が私に臨んだ。
17And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
18「人の子よ、イスラエルの家はわたしにとって金かすとなった。彼らは皆、炉の中の青銅、すず、鉄、鉛であり、銀の金かすである。
18'Son of man, the house of Israel is become dross unto Me; all of them are brass and tin and iron and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are the dross of silver.
19それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる。『あなたがたは皆、金かすとなったので、見よ、わたしはあなたがたをエルサレムのただ中に集める。
19Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Because ye are all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
20人々が銀、青銅、鉄、鉛、すずを炉の中に集め、その上に火を吹きつけて溶かすように、わたしは怒りと憤りをもってあなたがたを集め、そこに置いて溶かす。
20As they gather silver and brass and iron and lead and tin into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in Mine anger and in My fury, and I will cast you in, and melt you.
21わたしはあなたがたを集め、怒りの火を吹きつける。あなたがたはその中で溶かされる。
21Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you with the fire of My wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.
22銀が炉の中で溶かされるように、あなたがたもその中で溶かされる。そのとき、あなたがたは、主であるわたしが憤りをあなたがたの上に注いだことを知る。』」
22As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out My fury upon you.'
23主の言葉が私に臨んだ。
23And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
24「人の子よ、この地に言え。『あなたは清められず、憤りの日に雨も降らない地である。』
24'Son of man, say unto her: Thou art a land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
25その中には預言者たちの陰謀がある。彼らは獲物を引き裂く、ほえる獅子のようである。彼らは人の命を食い尽くし、宝物や貴重品を奪い、その中で多くの女をやもめにした。
25There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls, they take treasure and precious things, they have made her widows many in the midst thereof.
26その祭司たちはわたしの律法を侵し、わたしの聖なるものを汚した。彼らは聖なるものと俗なるものとを区別せず、汚れたものと清いものとの違いを人々に教えず、わたしの安息日から目を背けた。そのため、わたしは彼らの中で汚されている。
26Her priests have done violence to My law, and have profaned My holy things; they have put no difference between the holy and the common, neither have they taught difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
27その中の君主たちは、獲物を引き裂く狼のようである。不正な利益を得るために血を流し、人の命を奪っている。
27Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey: to shed blood, and to destroy souls, so as to get dishonest gain.
28その預言者たちは彼らのためにしっくいを塗り、偽りの幻を見、偽りを占って、『主なる神はこう言われる』と言う。しかし、主は語っていない。
28And her prophets have daubed for them with whited plaster, seeing falsehood, and divining lies unto them, saying: Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
29この地の民は人を虐げ、略奪を行ってきた。彼らは貧しい者や乏しい者を苦しめ、寄留者を不当に圧迫した。
29The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have wronged the poor and needy, and have oppressed the stranger unlawfully.
30わたしはその中で、城壁を築き、この地を滅ぼさなくてよいように、わたしの前で破れ口に立つ者を捜した。しかし、だれも見つからなかった。
30And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the breach before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.
31それゆえ、わたしは彼らの上に憤りを注ぎ、怒りの火で彼らを焼き尽くした。彼らの歩みを彼ら自身の頭に報いた」と主なる神は言われる。
31Therefore have I poured out Mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; their own way have I brought upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.'
