1私が見ると、見よ、ケルビムの頭上にある大空に、サファイア のようなものが現れた。それは王座の形に似て、ケルビムの上にあった。
1Then I looked, and, behold, upon the firmament that was over the head of the cherubim, there appeared above them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
2その方は亜麻布の衣を着た者に語って言われた。「回転する車輪の間、ケルブの下へ入り、ケルビムの間から燃える炭火を両手いっぱいに取り、町の上にまき散らせ。」 その人は、私が見ている前で入って行った。
2And He spoke unto the man clothed in linen, and said: 'Go in between the wheelwork, even under the cherub, and fill both thy hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and dash them against the city.' And he went in in my sight.
3その人が入って行った時、ケルビムは神殿の右側に立っており、雲が内庭を満たしていた。
3Now the cherubim stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
4主の栄光はケルブの上から上り、神殿の敷居の上にとどまった。神殿は雲で満たされ、庭は主の栄光の輝きで満たされた。
4And the glory of the LORD mounted up from the cherub to the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD'S glory.
5ケルビムの翼の音は外庭にまで聞こえ、全能の神が語られる声のようであった。
5And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God Almighty when He speaketh.
6その方が亜麻布の衣を着た者に、「回転する車輪の間、ケルビムの間から火を取れ」と命じられると、その人は入って行き、一つの車輪のそばに立った。
6And it came to pass, when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying: 'Take fire from between the wheelwork, from between the cherubim', that he went in, and stood beside a wheel.
7すると、一人のケルブが、ケルビムの間から手を伸ばして、その間にある火を取り、亜麻布の衣を着た者の手に置いた。その人はそれを受け取り、出て行った。
7And the cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubim unto the fire that was between the cherubim, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed in linen, who took it and went out.
8ケルビムには、その翼の下に人の手のようなものが見えた。
8And there appeared in the cherubim the form of a man's hand under their wings.
9私が見ると、見よ、ケルビムのそばに四つの車輪があり、一人のケルブのそばに一つの車輪、もう一人のケルブのそばにもう一つの車輪があった。車輪の外観は緑柱石のようであった。
9And I looked, and behold four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside one cherub, and another wheel beside another cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.
10その外観は四つとも同じ形で、一つの車輪の中に別の車輪があるようであった。
10And as for their appearance, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been within a wheel.
11進む時には四方のどの方向にも進み、進む時に向きを変えなかった。頭が向く所へ、その後について進み、進む時に向きを変えなかった。
11When they went, they went toward their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.
12ケルビムの全身、背中、手、翼、また車輪には、四つの車輪を含め、周囲一面に目があった。
12And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
13その車輪は、私が聞いているところで、「回転する車輪」と呼ばれた。
13As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing The wheelwork.
14それぞれに四つの顔があった。第一の顔はケルブの顔、第二の顔は人の顔、第三の顔は獅子の顔、第四の顔は鷲の顔であった。
14And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of the cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15ケルビムは上って行った。これは、私がケバル川のほとりで見た生き物である。
15And the cherubim mounted up — this is the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar.
16ケルビムが進むと、車輪もそのそばを進んだ。ケルビムが翼を上げて地から上る時、車輪もそのそばを離れなかった。
16And when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.
17ケルビムが止まると、車輪も止まり、ケルビムが上ると、車輪もともに上った。生き物の霊が車輪の中にあったからである。
17When they stood, these stood, and when they mounted up, these mounted up with them; for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
18主の栄光は神殿の敷居の上から出て、ケルビムの上にとどまった。
18And the glory of the LORD went forth from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim.
19ケルビムは翼を上げ、私の目の前で地から上った。彼らが出て行くと、車輪もそのそばにあった。彼らは主の家の東の門の入口に立ち、イスラエルの神の栄光がその上にあった。
19And the cherubim lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight when they went forth, and the wheels beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
20これは、私がケバル川のほとりで、イスラエルの神の下に見た生き物である。私は、それらがケルビムであることを知った。
20This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim.
21それぞれに四つの顔と四つの翼があり、その翼の下には人の手のようなものがあった。
21Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
22その顔の形は、私がケバル川のほとりで見た顔と同じであり、その姿も彼ら自身も同じであった。それぞれまっすぐ前へ進んだ。
22And as for the likeness of their faces, they were the faces which I saw by the river Chebar, their appearances and themselves; they went every one straight forward.
