1Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

1พระยาห์เวห์ ทำไมพระองค์ยืนอยู่ไกล? ทำไมพระองค์ซ่อนตัวในยามทุกข์ยาก?

2In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.

2ด้วยความหยิ่ง คนชั่วไล่ล่าคนอ่อนแอ แต่กลับติดกับแผนที่ตัวเองคิดขึ้น

3For the wicked boasts of his heart’s cravings. He blesses the greedy and condemns the LORD.

3เพราะคนชั่วโอ้อวดสิ่งที่ใจอยากได้ เขายกย่องคนโลภ และประณามพระยาห์เวห์

4The wicked, in the pride of his face, has no room in his thoughts for God.

4คนชั่วเชิดหน้าด้วยความหยิ่งผยอง ในความคิดของเขาไม่มีที่สำหรับพระเจ้า

5His ways are prosperous at all times. He is arrogant, and your laws are far from his sight. As for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.

5ทางของเขารุ่งเรืองอยู่เสมอ เขาหยิ่งผยอง และบทบัญญัติของพระองค์อยู่ไกลเกินสายตาเขา ส่วนศัตรูทั้งหลาย เขาแค่นเสียงเยาะใส่

6He says in his heart, “I shall not be shaken. For generations I shall have no trouble.”

6เขาพูดในใจว่า “ฉันไม่มีวันสั่นคลอน รุ่นแล้วรุ่นเล่า ฉันจะไม่พบความทุกข์”

7His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

7ปากของเขาเต็มไปด้วยคำสาป คำลวง และการกดขี่ ใต้ลิ้นมีแต่แผนร้ายและความชั่วช้า

8He lies in wait near the villages. From ambushes, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.

8เขาซุ่มอยู่ใกล้หมู่บ้าน จากที่ซ่อน เขาฆ่าคนบริสุทธิ์ ดวงตาของเขาแอบจ้องคนไร้ที่พึ่ง

9He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless when he draws him in his net.

9เขาซ่อนตัวเหมือนสิงโตในที่ซุ่ม เขาคอยจับคนไร้ที่พึ่ง จับคนไร้ที่พึ่งเมื่อลากเข้าตาข่าย

10The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength.

10คนไร้ที่พึ่งถูกบดขยี้ พวกเขาทรุดลง พวกเขาล้มอยู่ใต้กำลังของเขา

11He says in his heart, “God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it.”

11เขาพูดในใจว่า “พระเจ้าลืมแล้ว พระองค์ซ่อนใบหน้า พระองค์จะไม่มีวันเห็น”

12Arise, LORD! God, lift up your hand! Don’t forget the helpless.

12ลุกขึ้นเถิด พระยาห์เวห์! พระเจ้า ยกมือของพระองค์ขึ้น! อย่าลืมคนไร้ที่พึ่ง

13Why does the wicked person condemn God, and say in his heart, “God won’t call me into account”?

13ทำไมคนชั่วจึงประณามพระเจ้า แล้วพูดในใจว่า “พระเจ้าจะไม่เอาความหรอก”?

14But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.

14แต่พระองค์เห็นทั้งความทุกข์และความเศร้า พระองค์ใส่ใจ และรับความทุกข์นั้นไว้ในมือ พระองค์ช่วยทั้งผู้ตกเป็นเหยื่อและเด็กกำพร้าพ่อ

15Break the arm of the wicked. As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.

15หักแขนของคนชั่ว ส่วนคนเลว จงค้นหาความชั่วของเขาจนไม่เหลือให้พบ

16The LORD is King forever and ever! The nations will perish out of his land.

16พระยาห์เวห์เป็นกษัตริย์ตลอดกาลนิรันดร์! ชนชาติต่าง ๆ จะสูญหายไปจากแผ่นดินของพระองค์

17LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

17พระยาห์เวห์ พระองค์ได้ยินความปรารถนาของคนถ่อมใจ พระองค์จะทำให้ใจของพวกเขาตั้งมั่น พระองค์จะเงี่ยหูฟัง

18to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.

18เพื่อให้ความยุติธรรมแก่เด็กกำพร้าพ่อและคนถูกกดขี่ เพื่อมนุษย์จากผืนดินจะไม่ข่มขวัญใครอีก
