1LORD, you have searched me, and you know me.
1Проводиреві хора; псальма Давидова. Господи! Ти розглянув мене, і пізнав.
2You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.
2Ти знаєш, коли я сяду, і коли встану; ти з далека розумієш думки мої.
3You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
3Ти бачиш стежку мою і місце відпочинку, і всї дороги мої знаєш.
4For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, LORD, you know it altogether.
4Бо ще нема слова на язику в мене, а вже ти Господи, добре все знаєш.
5You hem me in behind and before. You laid your hand on me.
5З заду і з переду обступив мене! і руку свою положив на мене.
6This knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it.
6Розуміннє, надто — дивне, надто високе для мене, не здолїю збагнути його.
7Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence?
7Куди йти менї перед духом твоїм, куди втекти менї від лиця твого?
8If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!
8Зійшов би я на небо, — ти там єси; спочив би я під землею, і там ти єси.
9If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea,
9Взяв би я крила в зорі ранньої, та й на самому краю моря осївся,
10even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.
10І туди б рука твоя провела мене, і правиця твоя попала.
11If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me. The light around me will be night,”
11І сказав би я: Тьма таки покриє мене, то й в ночі стане сьвітло кругом мене.
12even the darkness doesn’t hide from you, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to you.
12І тьма не затьмить перед тобою, і ніч яснїє як день; тьма — одно що сьвітло.
13For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
13Ти сотворив внутро моє; ти зложив мене в утробі матері моєї.
14I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.
14Прославляю тебе за те, що дав снагу менї предивну. Дїла твої чудесні, душа моя добре се знає.
15My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth.
15Не були втаєні костї мої перед тобою, коли в тайнї постав я, як тая грудка в долїшнїх місцях землї штучно зложена.
16Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.
16Очі твої бачили зародок мій, і в книзї твоїй все було записано; минали днї, як костї творились, від часу того, як ще нї одної не було.
17How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is their sum!
17Як любі для мене думки твої, Боже! Як велика безлїч їх!
18If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I wake up, I am still with you.
18Полїчив би, та більше їх, як піску. Пробуджаюсь, і я ще з тобою.
19If only you, God, would kill the wicked. Get away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
19О коли б ти, Боже, погубив беззаконника! І ви, людожери, відступіться геть від мене!…
20For they speak against you wickedly. Your enemies take your name in vain.
20Та ворогів твоїх, що згадують тебе для беззаконня, що за марним ганяють.
21LORD, don’t I hate those who hate you? Am I not grieved with those who rise up against you?
21Чи не мати менї ненавистї проти тих, що тебе ненавидять, і не гидитись тими, що проти тебе встали?
22I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies.
22Повною ненавистю ненавиджу їх; вони вороги в мене.
23Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.
23Розглянь мене, Боже, і пізнай серце моє! Випробуй мене, і пізнай думки мої!
24See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
24І подивись, чи йду я дорогою труду, і веди мене дорогою вічною.
