1ปัญญาร้องเรียกไม่ใช่หรือ ความเข้าใจเปล่งเสียงไม่ใช่หรือ
1Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2ปัญญายืนอยู่บนที่สูงริมทาง ตรงทางแยก
2She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3ข้างประตูเมือง ตรงทางเข้า ที่ประตูทางเข้าเมือง ปัญญาร้องเสียงดังว่า
3She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4“ฉันร้องเรียกผู้คนทั้งหลาย ส่งเสียงถึงมนุษย์ทุกคน
4Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5พวกไม่รู้เท่าทัน จงเรียนรู้ไหวพริบ พวกคนโง่เขลา จงฝึกใจให้เข้าใจ
5O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6ฟังเถอะ ฉันจะพูดสิ่งประเสริฐ เมื่อเปิดปากจะพูดแต่สิ่งที่ถูกต้อง
6Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7ปากของฉันพูดความจริง ริมฝีปากของฉันรังเกียจความชั่ว
7For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8ทุกคำจากปากฉันล้วนเที่ยงธรรม ไม่มีคำใดคดเคี้ยวหรือบิดเบือน
8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9คำเหล่านี้ชัดเจนสำหรับคนที่เข้าใจ และถูกต้องสำหรับคนที่พบความรู้
9They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10รับการอบรมสั่งสอนของฉันดีกว่ารับเงิน รับความรู้ดีกว่าทองเนื้อดี
10Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11ปัญญาดีกว่าทับทิม ทุกสิ่งที่คนปรารถนาเทียบปัญญาไม่ได้
11For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
12“ฉันคือปัญญา อยู่คู่กับความรอบคอบ จงแสวงหาความรู้และวิจารณญาณ
12I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
13การยำเกรงพระยาห์เวห์คือการเกลียดความชั่ว ฉันเกลียดความหยิ่ง ความทะนง ทางชั่ว และปากที่พูดบิดเบือน
13The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
14คำปรึกษาและความรู้ที่ถูกต้องเป็นของฉัน ฉันมีความเข้าใจและพลัง
14Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
15อาศัยฉัน กษัตริย์จึงครองราชย์ และเจ้านายจึงออกคำตัดสินอย่างยุติธรรม
15By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16อาศัยฉัน เจ้านายจึงปกครอง ทั้งขุนนางและผู้ปกครองที่ชอบธรรมทั่วโลกก็เช่นกัน
16By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
17ฉันรักคนที่รักฉัน คนที่เสาะหาฉันอย่างจริงจังจะพบฉัน
17I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18ทรัพย์สมบัติและเกียรติอยู่กับฉัน ทั้งความมั่งคั่งที่ยั่งยืนและความเจริญรุ่งเรือง
18Riches and honour are with me; yea , durable riches and righteousness.
19ผลของฉันดีกว่าทอง แม้แต่ทองเนื้อดี ผลผลิตของฉันดีกว่าเงินชั้นดี
19My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20ฉันเดินบนทางแห่งความเที่ยงธรรม อยู่กลางเส้นทางแห่งความยุติธรรม
20I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21เพื่อมอบทรัพย์แก่คนที่รักฉัน และทำให้คลังของพวกเขาเต็มบริบูรณ์
21That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
22“พระยาห์เวห์ทรงมีฉันไว้ตั้งแต่เริ่มงานของพระองค์ ก่อนกิจการทั้งหลายของพระองค์ในกาลโบราณ
22The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23ฉันถูกตั้งไว้ตั้งแต่นิรันดร์ ตั้งแต่แรกเริ่ม ก่อนแผ่นดินโลกจะมีอยู่
23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24ก่อนมีห้วงน้ำลึก ฉันถือกำเนิดแล้ว ก่อนมีตาน้ำที่เปี่ยมล้น
24When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25ก่อนภูเขาจะตั้งมั่น ก่อนเนินเขาจะมีขึ้น ฉันถือกำเนิดแล้ว
25Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26ตอนนั้นพระองค์ยังไม่ได้สร้างแผ่นดินหรือทุ่งนา หรือแม้แต่ธุลีแรกของโลก
26While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27เมื่อพระองค์ทรงตั้งฟ้าสวรรค์ ฉันอยู่ที่นั่น เมื่อทรงขีดวงไว้บนผิวห้วงน้ำลึก
27When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28เมื่อทรงตั้งหมู่เมฆเบื้องบน เมื่อตาน้ำจากห้วงลึกไหลแรง
28When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29เมื่อทรงกำหนดเขตให้ทะเล ไม่ให้น้ำล้ำพ้นเขตตามคำสั่งของพระองค์ เมื่อทรงกำหนดฐานรากของแผ่นดิน
29When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30ตอนนั้นฉันเป็นช่างฝีมืออยู่ข้างพระองค์ ฉันเป็นความชื่นบานวันแล้ววันเล่า ร่าเริงอยู่ต่อหน้าพระองค์เสมอ
30Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31เบิกบานทั่วทั้งโลกของพระองค์ และชื่นชมยินดีกับมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย
31Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
32“เพราะฉะนั้น ลูกทั้งหลาย ฟังฉัน คนที่เดินตามทางของฉันย่อมเป็นสุข
32Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33รับฟังการอบรมสั่งสอนแล้วจะมีปัญญา อย่าปฏิเสธคำสอนนั้น
33Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34คนที่ฟังฉันย่อมเป็นสุข เฝ้าที่ประตูของฉันทุกวัน คอยอยู่ข้างวงกบประตู
34Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35คนที่พบฉันย่อมพบชีวิต และได้รับความโปรดปรานจากพระยาห์เวห์
35For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD .
36แต่คนที่ทำผิดต่อฉันก็ทำร้ายชีวิตตนเอง ทุกคนที่เกลียดฉันรักความตาย”
36But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
