1เกาะทั้งหลาย จงฟังข้าพเจ้า ชนชาติต่าง ๆ ที่อยู่ไกล จงตั้งใจฟัง พระยาห์เวห์เรียกข้าพเจ้าตั้งแต่อยู่ในครรภ์ ตั้งแต่อยู่ในครรภ์มารดา พระองค์ก็เอ่ยชื่อข้าพเจ้า
1Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
2พระองค์ทำให้ปากข้าพเจ้าเหมือนดาบคม ซ่อนข้าพเจ้าไว้ในร่มเงามือของพระองค์ พระองค์ทำให้ข้าพเจ้าเป็นลูกธนูที่ขัดเรียบ เก็บข้าพเจ้าไว้ใกล้ตัวในกระบอกธนู
2And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;
3พระองค์กล่าวกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “เจ้าเป็นผู้รับใช้ของเรา อิสราเอล เราจะได้รับเกียรติผ่านเจ้า”
3And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
4แต่ข้าพเจ้าพูดว่า “ข้าพเจ้าทำงานไปอย่างไร้ผล ทุ่มกำลังไปเปล่า ๆ ไม่ได้อะไรเลย ถึงกระนั้น ความยุติธรรมที่ข้าพเจ้าควรได้รับย่อมอยู่กับพระยาห์เวห์ และรางวัลของข้าพเจ้าอยู่กับพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้า”
4Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD , and my work with my God.
5บัดนี้พระยาห์เวห์ ผู้ปั้นแต่งข้าพเจ้าตั้งแต่อยู่ในครรภ์ เพื่อให้เป็นผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ กล่าวให้นำยาโคบกลับมาหาพระองค์ และรวบรวมอิสราเอลมาหาพระองค์ เพราะข้าพเจ้ามีเกียรติในสายพระเนตรของพระยาห์เวห์ และพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าทรงเป็นกำลังของข้าพเจ้า
5¶ And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD , and my God shall be my strength.
6พระองค์กล่าวว่า “เพียงให้เจ้าเป็นผู้รับใช้ของเราเพื่อฟื้นฟูเผ่าต่าง ๆ ของยาโคบ และนำผู้ที่ยังรอดอยู่ของอิสราเอลกลับมา เป็นงานเล็กน้อยเกินไป เราจะให้เจ้าเป็นแสงสว่างแก่ชนชาติต่าง ๆ ด้วย เพื่อเจ้าจะเป็นความรอดของเราไปจนสุดปลายแผ่นดิน”
6And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
7พระยาห์เวห์ ผู้ไถ่ของอิสราเอล และพระผู้บริสุทธิ์ของเขา กล่าวกับผู้ที่มนุษย์ดูหมิ่น ผู้ที่ชนชาติรังเกียจ ผู้รับใช้ของบรรดาผู้ปกครอง ว่า “บรรดากษัตริย์จะเห็นแล้วลุกขึ้น บรรดาเจ้านายจะก้มกราบ เพราะพระยาห์เวห์ผู้ซื่อสัตย์ คือพระผู้บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอล ผู้เลือกเจ้า”
7Thus saith the LORD , the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.
8พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “เราตอบเจ้าในเวลาอันเหมาะสม เราช่วยเจ้าในวันแห่งความรอด เราจะรักษาเจ้าไว้ และให้เจ้าเป็นพันธสัญญาแก่ประชาชน เพื่อฟื้นฟูแผ่นดิน ให้พวกเขารับมรดกที่รกร้าง
8Thus saith the LORD , In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
9โดยบอกผู้ที่ถูกจองจำว่า ‘จงออกมา!’ บอกผู้ที่อยู่ในความมืดว่า ‘จงปรากฏตัว!’ “พวกเขาจะกินอาหารตามทาง และทุ่งหญ้าของพวกเขาจะอยู่บนที่สูงไร้ต้นไม้ทุกแห่ง
9That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
10พวกเขาจะไม่หิวหรือกระหาย ความร้อนและดวงอาทิตย์จะไม่แผดเผาพวกเขา เพราะผู้ที่เมตตาพวกเขาจะนำพวกเขาไป พระองค์จะนำพวกเขาไปตามน้ำพุ
10They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
11เราจะทำให้ภูเขาทั้งหมดของเราเป็นทาง และยกทางหลวงของเราให้สูงขึ้น
11And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
12ดูเถิด คนเหล่านี้จะมาจากแดนไกล ดูเถิด คนเหล่านี้มาจากทิศเหนือและทิศตะวันตก และคนเหล่านี้มาจากแผ่นดินสินิม”
12Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
13ฟ้าสวรรค์ จงร้องเพลง แผ่นดิน จงชื่นชมยินดี! ภูเขา จงเปล่งเสียงร้องเพลง! เพราะพระยาห์เวห์ปลอบโยนประชากรของพระองค์แล้ว และจะเมตตาผู้ที่ทุกข์ยากของพระองค์
13¶ Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
14แต่ศิโยนพูดว่า “พระยาห์เวห์ทอดทิ้งฉัน พระผู้เป็นเจ้าลืมฉันแล้ว”
14But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
15“ผู้หญิงจะลืมลูกที่ยังกินนม จนไม่เมตตาบุตรชายที่เกิดจากครรภ์ของตนได้หรือ? แม้พวกเธออาจลืม แต่เราจะไม่ลืมเจ้า!
15Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16ดูเถิด เราสลักเจ้าไว้บนฝ่ามือของเรา กำแพงของเจ้าอยู่ต่อหน้าเราเสมอ
16Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
17ลูก ๆ ของเจ้าเร่งรีบ ผู้ทำลายเจ้าและผู้ทำให้เจ้ารกร้างจะออกไปจากเจ้า
17Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.
18จงเงยหน้ามองไปรอบ ๆ คนทั้งหมดนี้รวมตัวกันและมาหาเจ้า เรามีชีวิตอยู่ฉันใด” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “เจ้าจะสวมพวกเขาทั้งหมดเหมือนเครื่องประดับอย่างแน่นอน จะแต่งตัวด้วยพวกเขาเหมือนเจ้าสาว
18¶ Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD , thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee , as a bride doeth .
19“พื้นที่ร้างและที่เปล่าเปลี่ยวของเจ้า กับแผ่นดินที่ถูกทำลายของเจ้า บัดนี้จะเล็กเกินไปสำหรับผู้อยู่อาศัยแน่นอน และผู้ที่เคยกลืนกินเจ้าจะอยู่ไกลออกไป
19For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.
20ลูก ๆ ของเจ้าท่ามกลางความสูญเสีย จะพูดให้เจ้าได้ยินว่า ‘ที่นี่แคบเกินไปสำหรับฉัน ขอที่ให้ฉันอยู่ด้วย’
20The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
21แล้วเจ้าจะพูดในใจว่า ‘ใครให้กำเนิดคนเหล่านี้แก่ฉัน ในเมื่อฉันสูญเสียลูกไปแล้ว และอยู่ลำพัง ถูกเนรเทศและเร่ร่อนไปมา? ใครเลี้ยงพวกเขามา? ฉันถูกทิ้งไว้คนเดียว แล้วคนเหล่านี้อยู่ที่ไหน?’”
21Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been ?
22พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ กล่าวว่า “ดูเถิด เราจะยกมือขึ้นให้ชนชาติต่าง ๆ เห็น และชูธงของเราให้ประชาชนเห็น พวกเขาจะอุ้มลูกชายของเจ้ามาแนบอก และแบกลูกสาวของเจ้ามาบนบ่า
22Thus saith the Lord GOD , Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
23กษัตริย์จะเลี้ยงดูเจ้าเหมือนพ่อ และราชินีของพวกเขาจะเป็นแม่ผู้ให้นมเจ้า พวกเขาจะหมอบลงต่อหน้าเจ้า เอาหน้าแนบพื้น และเลียฝุ่นที่เท้าของเจ้า แล้วเจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระยาห์เวห์ ผู้ที่รอคอยเราจะไม่ผิดหวัง”
23And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD : for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
24จะเอาของที่ปล้นไปคืนจากคนทรงพลังได้หรือ? หรือจะช่วยเชลยที่ถูกจับไปโดยชอบด้วยกฎหมายให้เป็นอิสระได้หรือ?
24¶ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25แต่พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “แม้เชลยของคนทรงพลังก็จะถูกนำกลับมา และของที่คนดุร้ายปล้นไปก็จะได้คืน เพราะเราจะต่อสู้กับผู้ที่ต่อสู้เจ้า และจะช่วยลูก ๆ ของเจ้าให้รอด
25But thus saith the LORD , Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
26เราจะให้ผู้ที่กดขี่เจ้ากินเนื้อของตัวเอง และพวกเขาจะเมาเลือดของตัวเองเหมือนเมาเหล้าองุ่นหวาน แล้วมนุษย์ทั้งปวงจะรู้ว่าเรา พระยาห์เวห์ เป็นผู้ช่วยเจ้าให้รอด เป็นผู้ไถ่ของเจ้า พระผู้ทรงพลังแห่งยาโคบ”
26And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
