1“เชื้อสายยาโคบ จงฟังเรื่องนี้ พวกเจ้าที่ได้ชื่อว่าอิสราเอล และออกมาจากสายน้ำแห่งยูดาห์ พวกเจ้าสาบานโดยอ้างพระนามพระยาห์เวห์ และกล่าวถึงพระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล แต่ไม่ได้ทำด้วยความจริงหรือความเที่ยงธรรม
1Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD , and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
2เพราะพวกเขาเรียกตัวเองว่าพลเมืองของนครศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และพึ่งพระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล ผู้มีพระนามว่าพระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพ
2For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.
3เราประกาศสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นแต่ก่อนไว้ตั้งแต่โบราณ มันออกจากปากเรา และเราเปิดเผยไว้ เราลงมือทำทันที แล้วมันก็เกิดขึ้น
3I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
4เพราะเรารู้ว่าเจ้าดื้อดึง คอของเจ้าเป็นเอ็นเหล็ก และหน้าผากของเจ้าเป็นทองสัมฤทธิ์
4Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
5เราจึงประกาศให้เจ้ารู้ตั้งแต่โบราณ เราแสดงให้เจ้ารู้ก่อนที่มันจะเกิดขึ้น เพื่อเจ้าจะไม่พูดว่า ‘รูปเคารพของฉันทำสิ่งเหล่านี้ รูปแกะสลักและรูปหล่อของฉันสั่งให้มันเกิดขึ้น’
5I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
6เจ้าได้ยินแล้ว บัดนี้จงดูสิ่งทั้งหมดนี้ เจ้าเองจะไม่ประกาศหรือ? “ตั้งแต่บัดนี้ เราแสดงสิ่งใหม่ให้เจ้ารู้ เป็นสิ่งที่ซ่อนอยู่ ซึ่งเจ้าไม่เคยรู้
6Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it ? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
7สิ่งเหล่านี้เพิ่งถูกสร้างขึ้น ไม่ได้มีมาตั้งแต่โบราณ ก่อนวันนี้ เจ้าไม่เคยได้ยิน เพื่อเจ้าจะไม่พูดว่า ‘ดูสิ ฉันรู้แล้ว’
7They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
8เจ้าไม่ได้ยิน เจ้าไม่รู้ หูของเจ้าไม่เคยเปิดมาตั้งแต่โบราณ เพราะเรารู้ว่าเจ้าทรยศอย่างยิ่ง และได้ชื่อว่าผู้ละเมิดตั้งแต่อยู่ในครรภ์
8Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
9เพื่อเห็นแก่ชื่อของเรา เราจะชะลอความโกรธไว้ เพื่อเห็นแก่คำสรรเสริญเรา เราจึงยับยั้งมันไว้ต่อเจ้า เพื่อไม่ตัดเจ้าทิ้ง
9¶ For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
10ดูเถิด เราหลอมเจ้าแล้ว แต่ไม่ใช่แบบหลอมเงิน เราเลือกเจ้าในเตาแห่งความทุกข์
10Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
11เพื่อเห็นแก่ตัวเราเอง เพื่อเห็นแก่ตัวเราเอง เราจะทำเช่นนี้ เพราะจะให้ชื่อของเราถูกดูหมิ่นได้อย่างไร? เราจะไม่ให้ความรุ่งโรจน์ของเราแก่ผู้อื่น
11For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
12“ยาโคบ จงฟังเรา อิสราเอล ผู้ที่เราเรียก เราคือผู้นั้น เราเป็นผู้แรก และเป็นผู้สุดท้ายด้วย
12¶ Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
13มือของเราวางรากฐานแผ่นดิน และมือขวาของเราขึงฟ้าสวรรค์ออก เมื่อเราเรียก ทั้งสองก็ยืนขึ้นพร้อมกัน
13Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
14“พวกเจ้าทั้งหมด จงรวมตัวกันและฟัง! ใครในหมู่พวกเขาประกาศสิ่งเหล่านี้ไว้? ผู้ที่พระยาห์เวห์รักจะทำสิ่งที่เขาพอใจต่อบาบิโลน และแขนของเขาจะต่อสู้กับชาวเคลเดีย
14All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things ? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
15เรา เราเองพูดไว้ เราเรียกเขาแล้ว เราพาเขามา และเขาจะทำให้หนทางของตนประสบผล
15I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
16“จงเข้ามาใกล้เรา และฟังเรื่องนี้ “เราไม่ได้พูดในที่ลับตั้งแต่เริ่มต้น ตั้งแต่สิ่งนั้นเกิดขึ้น เราก็อยู่ที่นั่น” บัดนี้พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ ส่งข้าพเจ้ามา พร้อมกับพระวิญญาณของพระองค์
16¶ Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD , and his Spirit, hath sent me.
17พระยาห์เวห์ ผู้ไถ่ของเจ้า พระผู้บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอล กล่าวว่า “เราคือพระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของเจ้า ผู้สอนเจ้าให้ได้ประโยชน์ ผู้นำเจ้าไปในทางที่เจ้าควรไป
17Thus saith the LORD , thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
18ถ้าเพียงแต่เจ้าได้ฟังคำสั่งของเรา! สันติสุขของเจ้าก็คงเป็นเหมือนแม่น้ำ และความเที่ยงธรรมของเจ้าเหมือนคลื่นทะเล
18O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
19ลูกหลานของเจ้าก็คงมากเท่าทราย ผู้สืบเชื้อสายจากตัวเจ้าคงเหมือนเม็ดทรายเหล่านั้น ชื่อของเขาจะไม่ถูกตัดทิ้งหรือทำลายไปจากเบื้องหน้าเรา”
19Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
20จงออกจากบาบิโลน! จงหนีจากชาวเคลเดีย! จงประกาศเรื่องนี้ด้วยเสียงโห่ร้องยินดี บอกไปจนสุดปลายแผ่นดิน จงกล่าวว่า “พระยาห์เวห์ไถ่ยาโคบผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์แล้ว!”
20¶ Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
21เมื่อพระองค์นำพวกเขาผ่านทะเลทราย พวกเขาก็ไม่ได้กระหาย พระองค์ทำให้น้ำไหลออกจากหินเพื่อพวกเขา พระองค์ผ่าหิน แล้วน้ำก็พุ่งออกมา
21And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
22พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “คนชั่วไม่มีสันติสุข”
22There is no peace, saith the LORD , unto the wicked.
