1ยาโคบเรียกบุตรชายมาพร้อมกันแล้วพูดว่า “มารวมกัน พ่อจะบอกสิ่งที่จะเกิดกับพวกลูกในวันข้างหน้า
1And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
2มารวมตัวกันและฟัง บุตรชายของยาโคบเอ๋ย ฟังอิสราเอล พ่อของพวกเจ้า
2Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
3“รูเบน ลูกคือบุตรหัวปีของพ่อ เป็นกำลังของพ่อ เป็นผลแรกแห่งเรี่ยวแรง เด่นในศักดิ์ศรี เด่นในพลัง
3¶ Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4แต่ลูกพลุ่งพล่านเหมือนน้ำ จึงจะไม่เด่นเหนือใคร เพราะลูกขึ้นไปบนเตียงของพ่อ แล้วทำให้มันแปดเปื้อน เขาขึ้นไปบนที่นอนของพ่อ
4Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
5“สิเมโอนกับเลวีเป็นพี่น้องกัน ดาบของพวกเขาเป็นอาวุธแห่งความรุนแรง
5¶ Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.

6O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.

7Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.

8¶ Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.
9ยูดาห์เป็นลูกสิงโต ลูกเอ๋ย เจ้ากลับขึ้นมาจากเหยื่อแล้ว เขาหมอบลง นอนหมอบเหมือนสิงโต เหมือนสิงโตตัวเมีย ใครจะกล้าปลุกเขา?
9Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10คทาจะไม่พรากจากยูดาห์ และไม้เท้าผู้ปกครองจะไม่หายไปจากระหว่างเท้าของเขา จนกว่าผู้ที่คทานั้นเป็นของจะมา ประชาชนทั้งหลายจะเชื่อฟังเขา
10The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be .
11เขาผูกลูกลาไว้กับเถาองุ่น ผูกลูกลาของตนไว้กับเถาองุ่นชั้นดี เขาซักเสื้อผ้าในเหล้าองุ่น ซักเสื้อคลุมในเลือดของผลองุ่น
11Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
12ดวงตาของเขาแดงก่ำด้วยเหล้าองุ่น ฟันขาวด้วยน้ำนม
12His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
13“เศบูลุนจะอาศัยอยู่ริมทะเลตรงที่เรือเทียบท่า เขาจะเป็นท่าเรือสำหรับเรือทั้งหลาย เขตแดนของเขาจะไปถึงไซดอน
13¶ Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.
14“อิสสาคาร์เป็นลาที่มีกำลัง นอนหมอบอยู่ระหว่างห่อสัมภาระ
14¶ Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:
15เขาเห็นว่าที่พักนั้นดี และแผ่นดินนั้นน่าอยู่ เขาจึงก้มบ่ารับภาระ และกลายเป็นคนรับใช้ที่ถูกเกณฑ์แรงงาน
15And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
16“ดานจะตัดสินประชาชนของตน ในฐานะหนึ่งในเผ่าของอิสราเอล
16¶ Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17ดานจะเป็นงูอยู่บนทาง เป็นงูพิษอยู่ข้างทาง คอยกัดส้นเท้าม้า จนคนขี่หงายหลังลง
17Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
18พระยาห์เวห์ ผมเฝ้ารอความรอดจากพระองค์
18I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD .
19“กองปล้นจะรุมกาด แต่เขาจะไล่กวดส้นเท้าพวกมัน
19¶ Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
20“อาหารของอาเชอร์จะอุดมสมบูรณ์ เขาจะจัดอาหารเลิศรสที่คู่ควรกับกษัตริย์
20¶ Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.
21“นัฟทาลีเป็นกวางตัวเมียที่ถูกปล่อยเป็นอิสระ มันให้กำเนิดลูกกวางงดงาม
21¶ Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
22“โยเซฟเป็นเถาองุ่นที่เกิดผลดก เป็นเถาที่เกิดผลดกอยู่ข้างน้ำพุ กิ่งก้านของเขาเลื้อยข้ามกำแพง
22¶ Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23พวกนักธนูรุมรังควานเขาอย่างหนัก ยิงใส่และตามข่มเหงเขา
23The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him , and hated him:
24แต่คันธนูของเขายังคงมั่นคง แขนและมือของเขาแข็งแรงขึ้น ด้วยมือของผู้ทรงฤทธิ์แห่งยาโคบ (จากพระองค์นั้นมาผู้เลี้ยงแกะ ศิลาแห่งอิสราเอล)
24But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25โดยพระเจ้าของพ่อ ผู้จะช่วยลูก โดยองค์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ ผู้จะอวยพรลูก ด้วยพรจากฟ้าสวรรค์เบื้องบน พรจากห้วงน้ำลึกที่อยู่เบื้องล่าง พรแห่งเต้านมและครรภ์
25Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26พรของพ่อยิ่งกว่าพรของบรรพบุรุษของพ่อ สูงล้ำเหนือขอบเขตของเนินเขาโบราณ พรเหล่านี้จะอยู่บนศีรษะของโยเซฟ บนกระหม่อมของผู้ที่ถูกแยกออกจากพวกพี่น้อง
26The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
27“เบนยามินเป็นหมาป่าที่หิวกระหาย ตอนเช้าเขาจะกินเหยื่อ ตอนเย็นเขาจะแบ่งของที่ปล้นมา”
27¶ Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.
28ทั้งหมดนี้คือ 12 เผ่าของอิสราเอล และนี่คือสิ่งที่พ่อพูดกับพวกเขาเมื่ออวยพร เขาอวยพรแต่ละคนตามพรของแต่ละคน
28¶ All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
29แล้วเขากำชับพวกเขาว่า “พ่อกำลังจะไปรวมอยู่กับชนของพ่อ จงฝังพ่อไว้กับบรรพบุรุษในถ้ำที่อยู่ในทุ่งของเอโฟรนชาวฮิตไทต์
29And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30คือถ้ำในทุ่งมัคเปลาห์ซึ่งอยู่ตรงหน้ามัมเร ในแผ่นดินคานาอัน อับราฮัมซื้อทุ่งกับถ้ำนั้นจากเอโฟรนชาวฮิตไทต์ไว้เป็นที่ฝังศพ
30In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.
31ที่นั่นพวกเขาฝังอับราฮัมกับซาราห์ภรรยาของเขา ที่นั่นฝังอิสอัคกับเรเบคาห์ภรรยาของเขา และพ่อก็ฝังเลอาห์ไว้ที่นั่น
31There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.
32ทุ่งกับถ้ำที่อยู่ในนั้นซื้อมาจากลูกหลานของเฮท”
32The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.
33เมื่อยาโคบกำชับบุตรชายเสร็จแล้ว เขาก็หดเท้าขึ้นบนเตียง สิ้นลมหายใจ และไปรวมอยู่กับชนของตน
33And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
