Psalmorum 96

Clementine Vulgate, 1598
JPS Tanakh (Jewish Publication Society, 1917)
1Huic David, quando terra ejus restituta est. [Dominus regnavit: exsultet terra; lætentur insulæ multæ.
1O sing unto the LORD a new song; sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2Nubes et caligo in circuitu ejus; justitia et judicium correctio sedis ejus.
2Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.
3Ignis ante ipsum præcedet, et inflammabit in circuitu inimicos ejus.
3Declare His glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.
4Illuxerunt fulgura ejus orbi terræ; vidit, et commota est terra.
4For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
5Montes sicut cera fluxerunt a facie Domini; a facie Domini omnis terra.
5For all the gods of the peoples are things of nought; but the LORD made the heavens.
6Annuntiaverunt cæli justitiam ejus, et viderunt omnes populi gloriam ejus.
6Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
7Confundantur omnes qui adorant sculptilia, et qui gloriantur in simulacris suis. Adorate eum omnes angeli ejus.
7Ascribe unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, ascribe unto the LORD glory and strength.
8Audivit, et lætata est Sion, et exsultaverunt filiæ Judæ propter judicia tua, Domine.
8Ascribe unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.
9Quoniam tu Dominus altissimus super omnem terram; nimis exaltatus es super omnes deos.
9O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
10Qui diligitis Dominum, odite malum: custodit Dominus animas sanctorum suorum; de manu peccatoris liberabit eos.
10Say among the nations: 'The LORD reigneth.' The world also is established that it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.
11Lux orta est justo, et rectis corde lætitia.
11Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
12Lætamini, justi, in Domino, et confitemini memoriæ sanctificationis ejus.]
12Let the field exult; and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;
