1LORD , remember David, and all his afflictions:
1Píseň stupňů. Pamětliv buď, Hospodine, na Davida i na všecka trápení jeho,
2How he sware unto the LORD , and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;
2Jak se přísahou zavázal Hospodinu, a slib učinil Nejmocnějšímu Jákobovu, řka:
3Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
3Jistě že nevejdu do stánku domu svého, a nevstoupím na postel ložce svého,
4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
4Aniž dám očím svým usnouti, ani víčkám svým zdřímati,
5Until I find out a place for the LORD , an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
5Dokudž nenajdu místa Hospodinu, k příbytkům Nejmocnějšímu Jákobovu.
6Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.
6Aj, uslyšavše o ní, že byla v kraji Efratském, našli jsme ji na polích Jaharských.
7We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
7Vejdemeť již do příbytků jeho, a skláněti se budeme u podnoží noh jeho.
8Arise, O LORD , into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
8Povstaniž, Hospodine, a vejdi do odpočinutí svého, ty i truhla velikomocnosti tvé.
9Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
9Kněží tvoji ať se zobláčejí v spravedlnost, a svatí tvoji ať vesele prozpěvují.
10For thy servant David’s sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
10Pro Davida služebníka svého neodvracejž tváři pomazaného svého.
11The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
11Učinilť jest Hospodin pravdomluvnou přísahu Davidovi, aniž se od ní uchýlí, řka: Z plodu života tvého posadím na trůn tvůj.
12If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.
12Budou-li ostříhati synové tvoji smlouvy mé a svědectví mých, kterýmž je vyučovati budu, také i synové jejich až na věky seděti budou na stolici tvé.
13For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
13Neboť jest vyvolil Hospodin Sion, oblíbil jej sobě za svůj příbytek, řka:
14This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
14Toť bude obydlí mé až na věky, tuť přebývati budu, nebo jsem sobě to oblíbil.
15I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
15Potravu jeho hojným požehnáním rozmnožím, chudé jeho chlebem nasytím,
16I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
16A kněží jeho v spasení zobláčím, a svatí jeho vesele prozpěvovati budou.
17There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
17Tuť způsobím, aby zkvetl roh Davidův; připravím svíci pomazanému svému.
18His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
18Nepřátely jeho v hanbu zobláčím, nad ním pak kvésti bude koruna jeho.
