1Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried: 'Cause every man to go out from me.' And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.
1โยเซฟกลั้นอารมณ์ไว้ต่อหน้าคนที่ยืนอยู่รอบตัวไม่ไหวอีกแล้ว จึงร้องสั่งว่า “ให้ทุกคนออกไปจากที่นี่!” ไม่มีคนอื่นอยู่กับเขาเมื่อโยเซฟเปิดเผยตัวกับพวกพี่ชาย
2And he wept aloud; and the Egyptians heard, and the house of Pharaoh heard.
2เขาร้องไห้เสียงดังจนชาวอียิปต์ได้ยิน และคนในสำนักของฟาโรห์ก็ได้ยินด้วย
3And Joseph said unto his brethren: 'I am Joseph; doth my father yet live?' And his brethren could not answer him; for they were affrighted at his presence.
3โยเซฟพูดกับพวกพี่ชายว่า “ผมคือโยเซฟ! พ่อยังมีชีวิตอยู่ไหม?” พวกพี่ชายตอบอะไรไม่ได้ เพราะตกตะลึงกลัวเมื่ออยู่ต่อหน้าเขา
4And Joseph said unto his brethren: 'Come near to me, I pray you.' And they came near. And he said: 'I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
4โยเซฟจึงพูดว่า “พวกพี่เข้ามาใกล้ผมหน่อย” พวกเขาเข้ามาใกล้ แล้วโยเซฟพูดว่า “ผมคือโยเซฟ น้องชายที่พวกพี่ขายมาอียิปต์
5And now be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither; for God did send me before you to preserve life.
5ตอนนี้อย่าเสียใจหรือโกรธตัวเองที่ขายผมมาที่นี่เลย เพราะพระเจ้าส่งผมมาก่อนพวกพี่เพื่อรักษาชีวิตคนไว้
6For these two years hath the famine been in the land; and there are yet five years, in which there shall be neither plowing nor harvest.
6ความอดอยากเกิดขึ้นในแผ่นดินนี้มา 2 ปีแล้ว และยังเหลืออีก 5 ปีที่ไม่มีการไถหรือเก็บเกี่ยว
7And God sent me before you to give you a remnant on the earth, and to save you alive for a great deliverance.
7พระเจ้าส่งผมมาก่อนพวกพี่ เพื่อให้พวกพี่เหลือรอดอยู่ในแผ่นดิน และรักษาชีวิตพวกพี่ไว้ด้วยการช่วยให้พ้นภัยครั้งใหญ่
8So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God; and He hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
8เพราะฉะนั้นคนที่ส่งผมมาที่นี่ไม่ใช่พวกพี่ แต่เป็นพระเจ้า พระองค์ทำให้ผมเป็นเหมือนพ่อของฟาโรห์ เป็นเจ้านายเหนือทุกคนในสำนักของฟาโรห์ และเป็นผู้ปกครองทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์
9Hasten ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him: Thus saith thy son Joseph: God hath made me lord of all Egypt; come down unto me, tarry not.
9รีบกลับขึ้นไปหาพ่อ แล้วบอกว่า ‘โยเซฟลูกของพ่อพูดอย่างนี้ว่า “พระเจ้าทำให้ผมเป็นเจ้านายทั่วอียิปต์แล้ว ลงมาหาผมเถอะ อย่าช้าเลย
10And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast;
10พ่อจะอาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินโกเชน ใกล้กับผม ทั้งพ่อ ลูกหลาน ฝูงแกะ ฝูงโค และทุกอย่างที่พ่อมี
11and there will I sustain thee; for there are yet five years of famine; lest thou come to poverty, thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast.
11ผมจะเลี้ยงดูพ่อที่นั่น เพราะยังเหลือความอดอยากอีก 5 ปี ไม่อย่างนั้นพ่อ ครอบครัว และทุกอย่างที่พ่อมีจะหมดตัว”’
12And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you.
12พวกพี่เห็นอยู่กับตา และเบนยามินน้องของผมก็เห็น ว่าผมกำลังพูดกับพวกพี่ด้วยปากของผมเอง
13And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall hasten and bring down my father hither.'
13พวกพี่ต้องเล่าให้พ่อฟังถึงเกียรติทั้งหมดที่ผมมีในอียิปต์และทุกสิ่งที่พวกพี่ได้เห็น แล้วรีบพาพ่อลงมาที่นี่”
14And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.
14โยเซฟโผเข้ากอดคอเบนยามินน้องชายและร้องไห้ เบนยามินก็กอดคอเขาร้องไห้
15And he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them; and after that his brethren talked with him.
15โยเซฟจูบพวกพี่ชายทุกคนและร้องไห้กับพวกเขา หลังจากนั้นพวกพี่จึงเริ่มพูดคุยกับเขา
16And the report thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying: 'Joseph's brethren are come'; and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.
16เมื่อข่าวว่า “พี่น้องของโยเซฟมาแล้ว” ไปถึงสำนักของฟาโรห์ ฟาโรห์กับคนรับใช้ต่างก็พอใจ
17And Pharaoh said unto Joseph: 'Say unto thy brethren: This do ye: lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;
17ฟาโรห์พูดกับโยเซฟว่า “บอกพวกพี่น้องของเจ้าว่า ‘ทำอย่างนี้ บรรทุกของขึ้นสัตว์ของพวกเจ้า แล้วเดินทางกลับไปแผ่นดินคานาอัน
18and take your father and your households, and come unto me; and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
18พาพ่อและครอบครัวของพวกเจ้ามาหาเรา เราจะให้สิ่งดีที่สุดในแผ่นดินอียิปต์แก่พวกเจ้า และพวกเจ้าจะได้กินส่วนที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ที่สุดของแผ่นดิน’
19Now thou art commanded, this do ye: take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
19เจ้าจงบอกพวกเขาตามคำสั่งนี้ด้วยว่า ‘เอาเกวียนจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ไปรับเด็กๆ ภรรยา และพ่อของพวกเจ้า แล้วกลับมา
20Also regard not your stuff; for the good things of all the land of Egypt are yours.'
20ไม่ต้องเสียดายข้าวของที่ทิ้งไว้ เพราะสิ่งดีที่สุดทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์จะเป็นของพวกเจ้า’”
21And the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.
21บุตรชายของอิสราเอลก็ทำตาม โยเซฟให้เกวียนแก่พวกเขาตามคำสั่งของฟาโรห์ และให้เสบียงสำหรับเดินทาง
22To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver, and five changes of raiment.
22เขาให้เสื้อผ้าสำหรับเปลี่ยนแก่แต่ละคน แต่ให้เบนยามินเงิน 300 ชิ้นกับเสื้อผ้าสำหรับเปลี่ยน 5 ชุด
23And to his father he sent in like manner ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses laden with corn and bread and victual for his father by the way.
23ส่วนของที่ส่งให้พ่อมีลา 10 ตัวบรรทุกของดีจากอียิปต์ และลาตัวเมีย 10 ตัวบรรทุกข้าว ขนมปัง และเสบียงสำหรับพ่อระหว่างทาง
24So he sent his brethren away, and they departed; and he said unto them: 'See that ye fall not out by the way.'
24แล้วโยเซฟส่งพวกพี่ชายกลับไป ก่อนออกเดินทางเขาบอกว่า “อย่าทะเลาะกันระหว่างทางนะ”
25And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father.
25พวกเขาออกจากอียิปต์กลับขึ้นไปยังแผ่นดินคานาอันหายาโคบพ่อของตน
26And they told him, saying: 'Joseph is yet alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.' And his heart fainted, for he believed them not.
26แล้วบอกว่า “โยเซฟยังมีชีวิตอยู่ และเขาเป็นผู้ปกครองทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์” ยาโคบใจหายจนแทบหมดแรง เพราะไม่เชื่อพวกเขา
27And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them; and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived.
27แต่เมื่อพวกเขาเล่าคำทุกอย่างที่โยเซฟฝากมา และยาโคบเห็นเกวียนที่โยเซฟส่งมารับ ใจของยาโคบพ่อของพวกเขาก็กลับฟื้นขึ้น
28And Israel said: 'It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive; I will go and see him before I die.'
28อิสราเอลพูดว่า “พอแล้ว! โยเซฟลูกของฉันยังมีชีวิตอยู่ ฉันจะไปหาเขาให้เห็นกับตาก่อนตาย”
