1And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
1เมื่อมนุษย์เริ่มเพิ่มจำนวนขึ้นบนแผ่นดิน และพวกเขามีลูกสาวเกิดมา
2that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives, whomsoever they chose.
2บุตรของพระเจ้าเห็นว่าลูกสาวของมนุษย์งดงามจึงเลือกหญิงที่พวกเขาพอใจมาเป็นภรรยา
3And the LORD said: 'My spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for that he also is flesh; therefore shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.'
3พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า“พระวิญญาณของเราจะไม่ต่อสู้กับมนุษย์ตลอดไปเพราะเขาก็เป็นเนื้อหนัง ดังนั้นอายุของเขาจะเป็น 120 ปี”
4The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them; the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.
4ในเวลานั้นมีพวกเนฟิลิมอยู่บนแผ่นดินและหลังจากนั้นก็ยังมีอยู่ เมื่อบุตรของพระเจ้าเข้าหาลูกสาวของมนุษย์และมีลูกกับพวกเธอลูกเหล่านั้นคือผู้เก่งกล้าในสมัยโบราณ เป็นคนที่มีชื่อเสียง
5And the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
5พระยาห์เวห์เห็นว่าความชั่วร้ายของมนุษย์บนแผ่นดินมีมากและทุกสิ่งที่ใจของมนุษย์คิดขึ้นล้วนชั่วร้ายอยู่เสมอ
6And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.
6พระยาห์เวห์เสียใจที่ได้สร้างมนุษย์ขึ้นบนแผ่นดินและพระองค์เจ็บปวดใจ
7And the LORD said: 'I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and creeping thing, and fowl of the air; for it repenteth Me that I have made them.'
7พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “เราจะทำลายมนุษย์ที่เราสร้างขึ้นให้หมดไปจากแผ่นดิน ทั้งมนุษย์ สัตว์ทั้งหลาย สัตว์ที่คลานไปตามพื้น และนกบนท้องฟ้า เพราะเราเสียใจที่ได้ทำทั้งหมดนี้ขึ้นมา”
8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
8แต่โนอาห์ได้รับความโปรดปรานจากพระยาห์เวห์
9These are the generations of Noah. Noah was in his generations a man righteous and whole-hearted; Noah walked with God.
9นี่คือเรื่องราวความเป็นมาของโนอาห์ โนอาห์เป็นคนชอบธรรมไร้ที่ติในหมู่คนร่วมยุคของเขา โนอาห์ดำเนินชีวิตกับพระเจ้า
10And Noah begot three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
10โนอาห์มีลูกชายสามคนคือเชม, ฮาม และยาเฟท
11And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
11แผ่นดินเสื่อมทรามต่อหน้าพระเจ้าและเต็มไปด้วยความรุนแรง
12And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.
12พระเจ้ามองดูแผ่นดิน และเห็นว่าเสื่อมทราม เพราะสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งปวงบนแผ่นดินดำเนินชีวิตอย่างเสื่อมทราม
13And God said unto Noah: 'The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
13พระเจ้ากล่าวกับโนอาห์ว่า“เราจะทำให้สิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งปวงสิ้นไป เพราะพวกเขาทำให้แผ่นดินเต็มไปด้วยความรุนแรง ดูสิเราจะทำลายทั้งพวกเขาและแผ่นดิน
14Make thee an ark of gopher wood; with rooms shalt thou make the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
14จงสร้างเรือจากไม้โกเฟอร์ ทำห้องต่างๆไว้ในเรือและทาชันทั้งด้านในและด้านนอก
15And this is how thou shalt make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
15จงทำเรือตามขนาดนี้คือยาว 300 คิวบิตกว้าง 50 คิวบิตและสูง 30 คิวบิต
16A light shalt thou make to the ark, and to a cubit shalt thou finish it upward; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
16ทำหลังคาให้เรือและทำให้สูงขึ้นไป 1 คิวบิต ทำประตูไว้ที่ด้านข้างของเรือและทำเรือให้มีชั้นล่างชั้นที่สองและชั้นที่สาม
17And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; every thing that is in the earth shall perish.
17ส่วนเราเองจะให้น้ำท่วมบนแผ่นดินนี้ เพื่อทำลายสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งปวงที่มีลมหายใจแห่งชีวิตใต้ท้องฟ้า ทุกสิ่งที่อยู่บนแผ่นดินจะตาย
18But I will establish My covenant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
18แต่เราจะตั้งพันธสัญญาของเรากับเจ้า เจ้าจะเข้าไปในเรือพร้อมกับลูกชายของเจ้า ภรรยาของเจ้า และภรรยาของลูกชายเจ้า
19And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
19จากสิ่งมีชีวิตทุกชนิด จงนำเข้าเรืออย่างละสองตัวเพื่อให้พวกมันมีชีวิตอยู่กับเจ้า ให้เป็นตัวผู้และตัวเมีย
20Of the fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
20นกตามชนิดของมันปศุสัตว์ตามชนิดของมันและสัตว์ที่คลานไปตามดินทุกชนิดตามชนิดของมันจะมาหาเจ้าอย่างละสองตัวเพื่อรักษาชีวิตไว้
21And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.'
21จงนำอาหารทุกชนิดที่กินได้มาเก็บไว้กับเจ้าเพื่อเป็นอาหารสำหรับเจ้าและสำหรับพวกมัน”
22Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
22โนอาห์ทำตามนั้น เขาทำทุกอย่างที่พระเจ้าสั่ง
