1And the two angels came to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom; and Lot saw them, and rose up to meet them; and he fell down on his face to the earth;
1ทูตสวรรค์สององค์มาถึงโสโดมตอนเย็น โลทนั่งอยู่ที่ประตูเมืองโสโดม เมื่อเห็นพวกเขาเขาก็ลุกไปต้อนรับแล้วก้มหน้าลงถึงพื้น
2and he said: 'Behold now, my lords, turn aside, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your way.' And they said: 'Nay; but we will abide in the broad place all night.'
2พูดว่า“ท่านทั้งสองขอเชิญมาพักที่บ้านของคนรับใช้คนนี้สักคืนล้างเท้าแล้วพรุ่งนี้เช้าค่อยเดินทางต่อ” พวกเขาตอบว่า“ไม่ เราจะค้างคืนที่ถนน”
3And he urged them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
3แต่โลทรบเร้าหนักเข้าพวกเขาจึงไปกับเขาและเข้าบ้าน โลทจัดอาหารเลี้ยงและอบขนมปังไร้เชื้อให้แล้วพวกเขาก็กิน
4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both young and old, all the people from every quarter.

5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him: 'Where are the men that came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.'
5พวกเขาร้องเรียกโลทว่า“ผู้ชายที่มาหาเจ้าคืนนี้อยู่ไหนพาออกมาให้พวกเราจะได้หลับนอนกับพวกเขา”
6And Lot went out unto them to the door, and shut the door after him.
6โลทออกไปหาพวกเขาทางประตูแล้วปิดประตูไว้ข้างหลัง
7And he said: 'I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly.
7เขาพูดว่า“พี่น้องทั้งหลายขออย่าทำชั่วแบบนี้เลย
8Behold now, I have two daughters that have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes; only unto these men do nothing; forasmuch as they are come under the shadow of my roof.'
8ผมมีลูกสาวที่ยังเป็นสาวพรหมจารีสองคนผมจะพาพวกเธอออกมาจะทำกับพวกเธออย่างไรก็ได้ตามที่พวกคุณเห็นสมควรแต่อย่าทำอะไรชายเหล่านี้เลยเพราะพวกเขาเข้ามาพึ่งชายคาบ้านผม”
9And they said: 'Stand back.' And they said: 'This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs play the judge; now will we deal worse with thee, than with them.' And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and drew near to break the door.
9พวกเขาตะโกนว่า“ถอยไป!”แล้วพูดกันว่า“คนนี้มาอยู่เป็นคนต่างถิ่นแท้ๆยังจะตั้งตัวเป็นผู้พิพากษาอีก ตอนนี้พวกเราจะทำกับเจ้าให้หนักกว่าที่จะทำกับพวกนั้น!” พวกเขาเบียดโลทอย่างแรงและเข้าไปใกล้จะพังประตู
10But the men put forth their hand, and brought Lot into the house to them, and the door they shut.
10แต่ชายสองคนนั้นยื่นมือออกมาดึงโลทเข้าบ้านแล้วปิดประตู
11And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great; so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
11พวกเขาทำให้ชายที่อยู่หน้าประตูบ้านตาบอดทั้งผู้น้อยผู้ใหญ่จนทุกคนหาประตูกันจนหมดแรง
12And the men said unto Lot: 'Hast thou here any besides? son-in-law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whomsoever thou hast in the city; bring them out of the place;
12ชายสองคนถามโลทว่า“เจ้ายังมีใครอยู่ที่นี่อีกไหม ลูกเขย ลูกชาย ลูกสาวหรือใครก็ตามที่เป็นคนของเจ้าในเมืองนี้พาพวกเขาออกไปจากที่นี่
13for we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxed great before the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.'
13เพราะเราจะทำลายที่แห่งนี้ เสียงร้องกล่าวโทษคนที่นี่ดังมากต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์จนพระยาห์เวห์ส่งเรามาทำลายเมืองนี้”
14And Lot went out, and spoke unto his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said: 'Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy the city.' But he seemed unto his sons-in-law as one that jested.
14โลทจึงออกไปพูดกับชายที่หมั้นหมายจะแต่งงานกับลูกสาวของเขาว่า“ลุกขึ้น ออกจากที่นี่เร็ว พระยาห์เวห์กำลังจะทำลายเมืองนี้!” แต่ชายเหล่านั้นคิดว่าโลทล้อเล่น
15And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying: 'Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters that are here; lest thou be swept away in the iniquity of the city.'
15พอรุ่งเช้าทูตสวรรค์ก็เร่งโลทว่า“ลุกขึ้นพาภรรยากับลูกสาวสองคนที่อยู่ที่นี่ไปเดี๋ยวนี้ไม่อย่างนั้นเจ้าจะถูกกวาดไปพร้อมกับเมืองนี้เพราะความผิดของมัน”
16But he lingered; and the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him. And they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
16แต่โลทยังชักช้าชายสองคนจึงจับมือโลทมือภรรยาของเขาและมือลูกสาวทั้งสองเพราะพระยาห์เวห์เมตตาเขาแล้วพาพวกเขาออกไปไว้นอกเมือง
17And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said: 'Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the Plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be swept away.'
17เมื่อพาพวกเขาออกมาแล้วคนหนึ่งพูดว่า“หนีเอาชีวิตรอด อย่าหันกลับไปมองและอย่าหยุดที่ไหนในที่ราบ หนีไปบนภูเขาไม่อย่างนั้นจะถูกกวาดไปด้วย!”
18And Lot said unto them: 'Oh, not so, my lord;
18โลทตอบว่า“ท่านขออย่าให้เป็นอย่างนั้นเลย
19behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shown unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest the evil overtake me, and I die.
19ท่านกรุณารับผมผู้เป็นคนรับใช้ไว้ด้วยดีและแสดงความเมตตาต่อผมอย่างมากด้วยการช่วยชีวิตผมไว้แต่ผมหนีไปถึงภูเขาไม่ไหวเกรงว่าภัยจะตามทันแล้วผมจะตาย
20Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one; oh, let me escape thither — is it not a little one? — and my soul shall live.'
20มีเมืองเล็กๆอยู่ใกล้ๆพอจะหนีไปถึง ขอให้ผมหนีไปที่นั่นเถอะ เมืองนั้นเล็กนิดเดียวไม่ใช่หรือ แล้วผมจะรอดชีวิต”
21And he said unto him: 'See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow the city of which thou hast spoken.
21เขาตอบว่า“เรื่องนี้เราก็ยอมตามคำขอของเจ้าเราจะไม่ทำลายเมืองที่เจ้าพูดถึง
22Hasten thou, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither.' — Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. —
22รีบหนีไปที่นั่น เพราะเราทำอะไรไม่ได้จนกว่าเจ้าจะไปถึง” เพราะเหตุนี้เมืองนั้นจึงได้ชื่อว่าโซอาร์
23The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot came unto Zoar.
23ดวงอาทิตย์ขึ้นเหนือแผ่นดินแล้วตอนโลทมาถึงโซอาร์
24Then the LORD caused to rain upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
24แล้วพระยาห์เวห์ให้กำมะถันกับไฟจากพระยาห์เวห์ตกลงมาเหนือโสโดมกับโกโมราห์จากท้องฟ้า
25and He overthrow those cities, and all the Plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
25พระองค์ทำลายล้างเมืองเหล่านั้นทั้งที่ราบชาวเมืองทั้งหมดและพืชที่งอกจากดิน
26But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
26แต่ภรรยาของโลทซึ่งอยู่ข้างหลังเขาหันกลับไปมองแล้วกลายเป็นเสาเกลือ
27And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the LORD.
27เช้าตรู่อับราฮัมกลับไปยังที่ที่เขาเคยยืนต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์
28And he looked out toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the Plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the land went up as the smoke of a furnace.
28เขามองไปทางโสโดมโกโมราห์และดินแดนทั่วที่ราบก็เห็นควันจากดินแดนนั้นลอยขึ้นเหมือนควันจากเตาไฟ
29And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the Plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt.
29เมื่อพระเจ้าทำลายเมืองต่างๆในที่ราบพระเจ้าระลึกถึงอับราฮัมและนำโลทออกจากท่ามกลางการทำลายล้างเมื่อพระองค์ทำลายเมืองที่โลทอาศัยอยู่
30And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar; and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
30โลทออกจากโซอาร์ขึ้นไปอยู่บนภูเขาพร้อมลูกสาวสองคนเพราะเขากลัวจะอยู่ในโซอาร์ เขากับลูกสาวทั้งสองอาศัยอยู่ในถ้ำ
31And the first-born said unto the younger: 'Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth.
31ลูกสาวคนโตพูดกับน้องว่า“พ่อของเราแก่แล้วและไม่มีผู้ชายคนใดในแผ่นดินที่จะมาหลับนอนกับเราตามวิถีของคนทั่วโลก
32Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.'
32มาเถอะเราให้พ่อดื่มเหล้าองุ่นแล้วไปหลับนอนกับพ่อเพื่อจะรักษาสายตระกูลของพ่อไว้”
33And they made their father drink wine that night. And the first-born went in, and lay with her father; and he knew not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
33คืนนั้นพวกเธอให้พ่อดื่มเหล้าองุ่นแล้วลูกสาวคนโตเข้าไปหลับนอนกับพ่อ โลทไม่รู้เลยว่าเธอมานอนเมื่อไรหรือลุกไปเมื่อไร
34And it came to pass on the morrow, that the first-born said unto the younger: 'Behold, I lay yesternight with my father. Let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.'
34วันต่อมาลูกสาวคนโตพูดกับน้องว่า“เมื่อคืนฉันหลับนอนกับพ่อแล้ว คืนนี้เราให้พ่อดื่มเหล้าองุ่นอีก เธอเข้าไปหลับนอนกับพ่อเพื่อเราจะรักษาสายตระกูลของพ่อไว้”
35And they made their father drink wine that night also. And the younger arose, and lay with him; and he knew not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
35คืนนั้นพวกเธอให้พ่อดื่มเหล้าองุ่นอีก ลูกสาวคนเล็กเข้าไปหลับนอนกับพ่อและเขาไม่รู้เลยว่าเธอมานอนเมื่อไรหรือลุกไปเมื่อไร
36Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.
36ดังนั้นลูกสาวทั้งสองของโลทจึงตั้งครรภ์กับพ่อของตน
37And the first-born bore a son, and called his name Moab — the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.
37ลูกสาวคนโตคลอดลูกชายและตั้งชื่อว่าโมอับ เขาเป็นบรรพบุรุษของชาวโมอับจนถึงทุกวันนี้
38And the younger, she also bore a son, and called his name Ben-ammi — the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
38ลูกสาวคนเล็กก็คลอดลูกชายและตั้งชื่อว่าเบนอัมมี เขาเป็นบรรพบุรุษของชาวอัมโมนจนถึงทุกวันนี้
