1Now these are the generations of Esau — the same is Edom.
1Се ж родопись Езавова, він же Едом.
2Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
2Езав побрав собі жени із дочок Канаанських, Аду дочку Єлона Хетяненка, та Оголибаму, дочку Ани, сина Зибеона Евеяненка.
3and Basemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
3Та Басмату Ізмайлову, сестру Небайотову.
4And Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz; and Basemath bore Reuel;
4Ада ж уродила Езавові Єлифаса; Басмата вродила Регуїла.
5and Oholibamah bore Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, that were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
5Оголибама ж уродила Єгуса та Єглома та Корага. Се сини Езавові, що народились йому в Канаан землї.
6And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the souls of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his possessions, which he had gathered in the land of Canaan; and went into a land away from his brother Jacob.
6І позабирав Езав жени свої, та сини свої, та дочки свої, і всї раби в госпо́дї своїй, і скотину свою, й усе підуючне своє, і всї статки свої, що придбав у Канаан землї, та й помандрував Езав з Канаан землї, від брата свого Якова, у Сеїр землю.
7For their substance was too great for them to dwell together; and the land of their sojournings could not bear them because of their cattle.
7Були бо майна іх більші над те, щоб кочувати вкупі, і країна, де пробували вони, не зносила їх задля скотини їх.
8And Esau dwelt in the mountain-land of Seir — Esau is Edom.
8Осївся ж Езав на Сеїр горах; Езав, він же Едом.
9And these are the generations of Esau the father of a the Edomites in the mountain-land of Seir.
9Се ж родопись Езава, праотця Едомеїв на Сеїр горах.
10These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau.
10Ось іммення в синів Езавових: Єлифас, син Басмати, жінки Езавової.
11And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
11У Єлифаса ж були синове: Теман, Омар, Зефо, Гаєтам та Кенас.
12And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek. These are the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
12Тимна ж була наложниця Єлифаса, Езавенка, і вродила Єлифасові Амалека. Се синове Ади, жони Езавової.
13And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. These were the sons of Basemath Esau's wife.
13І ось синове Рагуїла: Нахат і Серах, Шамма і Миза. Се синове Басмати, жони Езавової.
14And these were the sons of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife; and she bore to Esau Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
14А се були синове Оголибами, дочки Ани, сина Зибеона, жінки Езавової. Вродила вона Езавові Єгуса та Єглома та Корага.
15These are the chiefs of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the first-born of Esau: the chief of Teman, the chief of Omar, the chief of Zepho, the chief of Kenaz,
15Се були дуки в синів Езавових. Синове Єлифаса, первеньця Езавового: дука Теман, дука Омар, дука Зефа, дука Кенас,
16the chief of Korah, the chief of Gatam, the chief of Amalek. These are the chiefs that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Adah.
16Дука Кораг, дука Гатам, дука Гайфас, дука Амалек. Се дуки Єлифасові в Едом землї. Се сини Адині.
17And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son: the chief of Nahath, the chief of Zerah, the chief of Shammah, the chief of Mizzah. These are the chiefs that came of Reuel in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath Esau's wife.
17А се сини Рагуїла Езавенка: дука Нахат, дука Серах, дука Шамма, дука Миза. Се дуки Рагуїлові в Едом землї. Се синове Басмати Езавихи.
18And these are the sons of Oholibamah Esau's wife: the chief of Jeush, the chief of Jalam, the chief of Korah. These are the chiefs that came of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
18Се ж синове Оголибами Езавихи: Дука Єгус, дука Єглом, дука Кораг. Се дуки Оголибами, дочки Ани, жінки Езавової.
19These are the sons of Esau, and these are their chiefs; the same is Edom.
19Се сини Езава, і се дуки їх. Він Едом.
20These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah,
20Се ж сини Сеїра Горієнка, що седїли осадами в тій країнї Лотан, та Собаль, та Зибеон, та Ана.
21and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan. These are the chiefs that came of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
21Та Дишон, та Єзер, та Дишан. Се дуки Горійські в синів Сеїрових в Едом землї.
22And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.
22А синове Лотанові були: Горій та Гемам, а сестра Лотанова: Тимна.
23And these are the children of Shobal: Alvan and Manahath and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
23А се синове Собальові: Алван, Манагат, та Ебаль, Сефо та Онам.
24And these are the children of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah — this is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
24А се синове Зибеонові: Ая та Ана. Се той Ана, що знайшов гарячі жерела в степу, пасучи осли Зибеонові, батьківські.
25And these are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah.
25А се синове Анині: Дишон і Оголибама, дочка Анина.
26And these are the children of Dishon: Hemdan and Eshban and Ithran and Cheran.
26Се ж синове Дишонові: Гемдан, та Єшдан, та Ітран, та Керан.
27These are the children of Ezer: Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.
27Се ж синове Єзерові: Билган, та Саван, та Акан.
28These are the children of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
28Сеж синове Дишанові: Уз та Аран.
29These are the chiefs that came of the Horites: the chief of Lotan, the chief of Shobal, the chief of Zibeon, the chief of Anah,
29Се ж дуки в Горіїв: дука Лошан, дука Собаль, дука Зибеон, дука Ана;
30the chief of Dishon, the chief of Ezer, the chief of Dishan. These are the chiefs that came of the Horites, according to their chiefs in the land of Seir.
30Дука Дишон, дука Єзер, дука Дишан. Се дуки в Горіїв після дуків їх у Сеїр землї.
31And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
31А се царі, що царювали в Едом землї, перш нїж царював там який царь в Ізраїлї.
32And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
32Царював у Едомі Бела Бейоренко; прозивався ж город його Динхаба.
33And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
33Умер же Бела, і царював намість його Йобаб Серахенко із Бозри.
34And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
34Умер же Йобаб, і царював намість його Гусам із Теман землї.
35And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Avith.
35Умер же Гусам, і царював намість його Гадад Бедаденко, що побив Мидіяніїв на полї Моаб, а город його прозивавсь Авит.
36And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
36Умер же Гадад, і царював намість його Самла із Мазреки.
37And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.
37Умер же Самла, і царював намість його Савул із Рехобота над рікою.
38And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
38Умер же Савул, і царював намість його Бааль-Ганан Ахборенко.
39And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead; and the name of the city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
39Умер же Бааль-Ганан Ахборенко, і царював намість його Гадар; город же його прозивали Пакгу, а жінку його Мегетабееля, дочка Матреда, дочки Мезагаба.
40And these are the names of the chiefs that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names: the chief of Timna, the chief of Alvah, the chief of Jetheth;
40А се ймення дуків Езавових по родинах їх, по врочищах їх, по прізвищах їх: Дука Тимна, дука Алва, дука Єтет.
41the chief of Oholibamah, the chief of Elah, the chief of Pinon;
41Дука Оголибама, дука Єла, дука Пинон.
42the chief of Kenaz, the chief of Teman, the chief of Mibzar;
42Дука Кенас, дука Теман, дука Мибзар,
43the chief of Magdiel, the chief of Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau the father of the Edomites.
43Дука Магдієль, дука Ірам. Се дуки в Едомі, по оселях їх, по врочищах їх. Се Езав, прайотець Едомів.
