1“อย่าตัดสิน เพื่อพวกคุณจะไม่ถูกตัดสิน
1Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2เพราะพวกคุณตัดสินอย่างไร พวกคุณก็จะถูกตัดสินอย่างนั้น และพวกคุณใช้เครื่องตวงใดตวง ก็จะตวงให้พวกคุณด้วยเครื่องตวงนั้น
2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3ทำไมเจ้าจึงเห็นเศษผงในตาของพี่น้องของเจ้า แต่ไม่สังเกตคานไม้ที่อยู่ในตาของเจ้าเอง?
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4หรือเจ้าจะพูดกับพี่น้องของเจ้าได้อย่างไรว่า ‘ให้เราเอาเศษผงออกจากตาของเจ้าเถอะ’ ทั้งที่มีคานไม้อยู่ในตาของเจ้าเอง?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5คนหน้าซื่อใจคด! จงเอาคานไม้ออกจากตาของเจ้าเองก่อน แล้วเจ้าจะมองเห็นชัดพอที่จะเอาเศษผงออกจากตาของพี่น้องของเจ้า
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
6“อย่าให้สิ่งบริสุทธิ์แก่สุนัข และอย่าโยนไข่มุกของพวกคุณไว้ตรงหน้าหมู ไม่เช่นนั้น พวกมันอาจเหยียบย่ำไข่มุกนั้นใต้เท้า แล้วหันกลับมาขย้ำพวกคุณ
6¶ Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7“จงขอ แล้วจะให้แก่พวกคุณ จงแสวงหา แล้วพวกคุณจะพบ จงเคาะ แล้วจะเปิดให้แก่พวกคุณ
7¶ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8เพราะทุกคนที่ขอย่อมได้รับ คนที่แสวงหาย่อมพบ และจะเปิดให้แก่คนที่เคาะ
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9หรือในพวกคุณ มีใครบ้างที่ เมื่อลูกขอขนมปัง จะให้ก้อนหินแก่เขา?
9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10หรือเมื่อลูกขอปลา จะให้งูแก่เขา?
10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11ถ้าพวกคุณซึ่งเป็นคนชั่วยังรู้จักให้ของดีแก่ลูก ๆ ของตน พระบิดาของพวกคุณผู้อยู่ในสวรรค์จะยิ่งให้สิ่งดี ๆ แก่คนที่ขอจากพระองค์มากกว่านั้นสักเพียงใด!
11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12ดังนั้น ทุกสิ่งที่พวกคุณต้องการให้คนอื่นทำต่อพวกคุณ พวกคุณก็จงทำต่อพวกเขาอย่างนั้น เพราะนี่คือธรรมบัญญัติและบรรดาผู้เผยพระวจนะ
12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13“จงเข้าทางประตูแคบ เพราะประตูที่นำไปสู่ความพินาศนั้นกว้าง และทางก็กว้างขวาง มีคนจำนวนมากที่เข้าทางนั้น
13¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14ประตูนั้นช่างแคบ และทางที่นำไปสู่ชีวิตก็ช่างคับแคบ! มีคนเพียงไม่กี่คนที่พบทางนั้น
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15“จงระวังผู้เผยพระวจนะเท็จ ซึ่งมาหาพวกคุณในคราบแกะ แต่ภายในเป็นหมาป่าดุร้าย
15¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16พวกคุณจะรู้จักพวกเขาได้จากผลของพวกเขา คนเก็บองุ่นจากพุ่มหนาม หรือเก็บมะเดื่อจากต้นหนามหรือ?
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17เช่นเดียวกัน ต้นไม้ดีทุกต้นย่อมเกิดผลดี แต่ต้นไม้ไม่ดีย่อมเกิดผลไม่ดี
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18ต้นไม้ดีจะเกิดผลไม่ดีไม่ได้ และต้นไม้ไม่ดีก็จะเกิดผลดีไม่ได้
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19ต้นไม้ทุกต้นที่ไม่เกิดผลดีจะถูกตัดลงและโยนเข้าไฟ
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20ดังนั้น พวกคุณจะรู้จักพวกเขาได้จากผลของพวกเขา
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21“ไม่ใช่ทุกคนที่พูดกับเราว่า ‘องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า’ จะได้เข้าอาณาจักรแห่งสวรรค์ แต่คนที่ทำตามพระประสงค์ของพระบิดาของเราผู้อยู่ในสวรรค์ต่างหาก
21¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22ในวันนั้น คนจำนวนมากจะพูดกับเราว่า ‘องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พวกเราไม่ได้เผยพระวจนะในนามของท่าน ขับปีศาจในนามของท่าน และทำการอัศจรรย์อันยิ่งใหญ่มากมายในนามของท่านหรือ?’
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23แล้วเราจะบอกพวกเขาว่า ‘เราไม่เคยรู้จักพวกเจ้าเลย จงไปให้พ้นจากเรา พวกที่ทำความอธรรม’
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24“ดังนั้น ทุกคนที่ฟังถ้อยคำเหล่านี้ของเราและทำตาม เราจะเปรียบเขากับคนมีปัญญาที่สร้างบ้านของตนบนศิลา
24¶ Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25ฝนตกลงมา น้ำก็หลากมา ลมพัดกระหน่ำบ้านนั้น แต่บ้านไม่พัง เพราะวางรากฐานไว้บนศิลา
25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26ทุกคนที่ฟังถ้อยคำเหล่านี้ของเราแต่ไม่ทำตาม จะเหมือนคนโง่ที่สร้างบ้านของตนบนทราย
26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27ฝนตกลงมา น้ำก็หลากมา ลมพัดกระหน่ำบ้านนั้น แล้วบ้านนั้นก็พังลงอย่างย่อยยับ”
27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28เมื่อพระเยซูกล่าวคำเหล่านี้จบ ฝูงชนก็ประหลาดใจในคำสอนของพระองค์
28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29เพราะพระองค์สอนพวกเขาอย่างผู้มีอำนาจ ไม่เหมือนพวกอาลักษณ์
29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
