1หลังจากวันสะบาโต เมื่อเริ่มรุ่งสางในวันแรกของสัปดาห์ มารีย์ชาวมักดาลากับมารีย์อีกคนหนึ่งมาดูอุโมงค์ฝังศพ
1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2แล้วก็เกิดแผ่นดินไหวใหญ่ เพราะทูตสวรรค์ขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าลงมาจากฟ้า มากลิ้งก้อนหินออกจากปากอุโมงค์ และนั่งบนก้อนหิน
2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3รูปลักษณ์ของเขาเหมือนฟ้าแลบ และเสื้อผ้าขาวเหมือนหิมะ
3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4พวกทหารยามกลัวเขาจนตัวสั่น และกลายเป็นเหมือนคนตาย
4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men .
5ทูตสวรรค์กล่าวกับหญิงเหล่านั้นว่า “อย่ากลัว เพราะเรารู้ว่าพวกคุณกำลังหาพระเยซู ผู้ถูกตรึงบนกางเขน
5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6พระองค์ไม่อยู่ที่นี่ เพราะพระองค์ฟื้นขึ้นจากความตายแล้ว ตามที่พระองค์เคยบอก มาดูที่ที่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเคยนอนอยู่
6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7จงรีบไปบอกสาวกของพระองค์ว่า ‘พระองค์ฟื้นขึ้นจากความตายแล้ว และพระองค์ไปยังกาลิลีก่อนพวกคุณ พวกคุณจะเห็นพระองค์ที่นั่น’ เราได้บอกพวกคุณแล้ว”
7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8พวกนางจึงรีบออกจากอุโมงค์ฝังศพ ทั้งกลัวและยินดีอย่างยิ่ง แล้ววิ่งไปบอกข่าวแก่สาวกของพระองค์
8And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9ขณะที่พวกนางกำลังไปบอกสาวก พระเยซูก็มาพบพวกนาง และกล่าวว่า “จงยินดี!” พวกนางเข้ามาจับเท้าของพระองค์ และนมัสการพระองค์
9¶ And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10แล้วพระเยซูกล่าวกับพวกนางว่า “อย่ากลัว จงไปบอกพี่น้องของเรา ให้ไปยังกาลิลี แล้วพวกเขาจะเห็นเราที่นั่น”
10Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11ระหว่างที่พวกนางกำลังไป ทหารยามบางคนก็เข้าไปในเมือง และบอกหัวหน้าปุโรหิตถึงทุกสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้น
11¶ Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12เมื่อพวกเขามาชุมนุมกับพวกผู้อาวุโส และปรึกษากันแล้ว ก็ให้เงินจำนวนมากแก่พวกทหาร
12And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
13โดยบอกว่า “ให้พูดว่า ‘สาวกของเขามาตอนกลางคืน และขโมยศพเขาไปขณะที่พวกเราหลับ’
13Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14ถ้าเรื่องนี้ไปถึงหูผู้ว่าราชการ พวกเราจะพูดเกลี้ยกล่อมเขา และจัดการไม่ให้พวกคุณเดือดร้อน”
14And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
15พวกทหารรับเงิน และทำตามที่พวกเขาสั่ง เรื่องนี้จึงแพร่ไปในหมู่ชาวยิว และยังเล่ากันอยู่จนถึงทุกวันนี้
15So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16ส่วนสาวกสิบเอ็ดคนไปยังกาลิลี ไปที่ภูเขาซึ่งพระเยซูสั่งให้พวกเขาไป
16¶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17เมื่อเห็นพระองค์ พวกเขาก็หมอบลงต่อหน้าพระองค์ แต่บางคนยังสงสัย
17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18พระเยซูเข้ามาหาพวกเขา และกล่าวว่า “เราได้รับอำนาจทั้งหมดในสวรรค์และบนแผ่นดินโลกแล้ว
18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19จงไป และทำให้คนจากทุกชนชาติเป็นสาวก โดยให้พวกเขารับบัพติศมาในพระนามของพระบิดา ของพระบุตร และของพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์
19¶ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20และสอนพวกเขาให้ถือปฏิบัติทุกสิ่งที่เราสั่งพวกคุณไว้ และเราอยู่กับพวกคุณเสมอ จนถึงการสิ้นสุดของยุค” อาเมน
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
