1اما درباره عطایای روحانی، ای برادران نمی خواهم شما بی‌خبر باشید.
1Now concerning spiritual gifts , brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2می دانید هنگامی که امت‌ها می‌بودید، به سوی بتهای گنگ برده می‌شدید بطوری که شما رامی بردند.
2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3پس شما را خبر می‌دهم که هرکه متکلم به روح خدا باشد، عیسی را اناتیمانمی گوید و احدی جزیه روح‌القدس عیسی راخداوند نمی تواند گفت.
3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4و نعمتها انواع است ولی روح همان.
4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5وخدمتها انواع است اما خداوند همان.
5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6و عملهاانواع است لکن همان خدا همه را در همه عمل می‌کند.
6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7ولی هرکس را ظهور روح بجهت منفعت عطا می‌شود.
7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8زیرا یکی را بوساطت روح، کلام حکمت داده می‌شود و دیگری را کلام علم، بحسب همان روح.
8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9و یکی را ایمان به همان روح و دیگری را نعمتهای شفا دادن به همان روح.
9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10و یکی را قوت معجزات ودیگری را نبوت و یکی را تمییز ارواح و دیگری را اقسام زبانها و دیگری را ترجمه زبانها.
10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11لکن در جمیع اینها همان یک روح فاعل است که هرکس را فرد بحسب اراده خود تقسیم می‌کند.
11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
12زیرا چنانکه بدن یک است و اعضای متعدددارد و تمامی اعضای بدن اگرچه بسیار است یکتن می‌باشد، همچنین مسیح نیز می‌باشد.
12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13زیرا که جمیع ما به یک روح در یک بدن تعمیدیافتم، خواه یهود، خواه یونانی، خواه غلام، خواه آزاد و همه از یک روح نوشانیده شدیم.
13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14زیرابدن یک عضو نیست بلکه بسیار است.
14For the body is not one member, but many.
15اگر پاگوید چونکه دست نیستم از بدن نمی باشم، آیابدین سبب از بدن نیست؟
15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16و اگر گوش گویدچونکه چشم نیم از بدن نیستم، آیا بدین سبب ازبدن نیست؟
16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17اگر تمام بدن چشم بودی، کجامی بود شنیدن و اگر همه شنیدن بودی کجا می‌بودبوییدن؟
17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18لکن الحال خدا هریک از اعضا را دربدن نهاد برحسب اراده خود.
18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19و اگر همه یک عضو بودی بدن کجا می‌بود؟
19And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20اما الان اعضابسیار است لیکن بدن یک.
20But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21و چشم دست رانمی تواند گفت که محتاج تو نیستم یا سر پایها رانیز که احتیاج به شما ندارم.
21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22بلکه علاوه بر این، آن اعضای بدن که ضعیفتر می‌نمایند، لازم ترمی باشند.
22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23و آنها را که پست‌تر اجزای بدن می‌پندارم، عزیزتر می‌داریم و اجزای قبیح ماجمال افضل دارد.
23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24لکن اعضای جمیله ما رااحتیاجی نیست، بلکه خدا بدن را مرتب ساخت بقسمی که ناقص را بیشتر حرمت داد،
24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
25تا که جدایی در بدن نیفتد، بلکه اعضا به برابری در فکریکدیگر باشند.
25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26و اگر یک عضو دردمند گردد، سایر اعضا با آن همدرد باشند و اگر عضوی عزت یابد، باقی اعضا با او به خوشی آیند.
26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27اما شما بدن مسیح هستید و فرد اعضای آن می‌باشید.
27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28و خدا قرارداد بعضی را درکلیسا: اول رسولان، دوم انبیا، سوم معلمان، بعدقوات، پس نعمتهای شفا دادن و اعانات و تدابیر واقسام زبانها.
28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
29آیا همه رسول هستند، یا همه انبیا، یا همه معلمان، یا همه قوات؟
29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
30یا همه نعمتهای شفا دارند، یا همه به زبانها متکلم هستند، یا همه ترجمه می‌کنند؟
30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
31لکن نعمتهای بهتر را به غیرت بطلبید و طریق افضلتر نیز به شمانشان می‌دهم.
31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
