1Hallelujah. O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever.
1你們要讚美耶和華！ 要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善； 他的慈愛永遠長存！
2Who can express the mighty acts of the LORD, or make all His praise to be heard?
2誰能傳說耶和華的大能？ 誰能表明他一切的美德？
3Happy are they that keep justice, that do righteousness at all times.
3凡遵守公平、常行公義的， 這人便為有福！
4Remember me, O LORD, when Thou favourest Thy people; O think of me at Thy salvation;
4耶和華啊，你用恩惠待你的百姓； 求你也用這恩惠記念我，開你的救恩眷顧我，
5That I may behold the prosperity of Thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation, that I may glory with Thine inheritance.
5使我見你選民的福， 樂你國民的樂， 與你的產業一同誇耀。
6We have sinned with our fathers, we have done iniquitously, we have dealt wickedly.
6我們與我們的祖宗一同犯罪； 我們作了孽，行了惡。
7Our fathers in Egypt gave no heed unto Thy wonders; they remembered not the multitude of Thy mercies; but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
7我們的祖宗在 埃及 不明白你的奇事， 不記念你豐盛的慈愛， 反倒在 紅海 行了悖逆。
8Nevertheless He saved them for His name's sake, that He might make His mighty power to be known.
8然而，他因自己的名拯救他們， 為要彰顯他的大能，
9And He rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up; and He led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.
9並且斥責 紅海 ，海便乾了； 他帶領他們經過深處，如同經過曠野。
10And He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
10他拯救他們脫離恨他們人的手， 從仇敵手中救贖他們。
11And the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left.
11水淹沒他們的敵人， 沒有一個存留。
12Then believed they His words; they sang His praise.
12那時，他們才信了他的話， 歌唱讚美他。
13They soon forgot His works; they waited not for His counsel;
13等不多時，他們就忘了他的作為， 不仰望他的指教，
14But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tried God in the desert.
14反倒在曠野大起慾心， 在荒地試探上帝。
15And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
15他將他們所求的賜給他們， 卻使他們的心靈軟弱。
16They were jealous also of Moses in the camp, and of Aaron the holy one of the LORD.
16他們又在營中嫉妒 摩西 和耶和華的聖者 亞倫 。
17The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
17地裂開，吞下 大坍 ， 掩蓋 亞比蘭 一黨的人。
18And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
18有火在他們的黨中發起； 有火焰燒毀了惡人。
19They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped a molten image.
19他們在 何烈山 造了牛犢， 叩拜鑄成的像。
20Thus they exchanged their glory for the likeness of an ox that eateth grass.
20如此將他們榮耀 的主 換為吃草之牛的像，
21They forgot God their saviour, who had done great things in Egypt;
21忘了上帝－他們的救主； 他曾在 埃及 行大事，
22Wondrous works in the land of Ham, terrible things by the Red Sea.
22在 含 地行奇事， 在 紅海 行可畏的事。
23Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn back His wrath, lest He should destroy them.
23所以，他說要滅絕他們； 若非有他所揀選的 摩西 站在當中， 使他的忿怒轉消， 恐怕他就滅絕他們。
24Moreover, they scorned the desirable land, they believed not His word;
24他們又藐視那美地， 不信他的話，
25And they murmured in their tents, they hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
25在自己帳棚內發怨言， 不聽耶和華的聲音。
26Therefore He swore concerning them, that He would overthrow them in the wilderness;
26所以，他對他們起誓： 必叫他們倒在曠野，
27And that He would cast out their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
27叫他們的後裔倒在列國之中， 分散在各地。
28They joined themselves also unto Baal of Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
28他們又與 巴力‧毗珥 連合， 且吃了祭死神的物。
29Thus they provoked Him with their doings, and the plague broke in upon them.
29他們這樣行，惹耶和華發怒， 便有瘟疫流行在他們中間。
30Then stood up Phinehas, and wrought judgment, and so the plague was stayed.
30那時， 非尼哈 站起，刑罰惡人， 瘟疫這才止息。
31And that was counted unto him for righteousness, unto all generations for ever.
31那就算為他的義， 世世代代，直到永遠。
32They angered Him also at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses because of them;
32他們在 米利巴 水又叫耶和華發怒， 甚至 摩西 也受了虧損，
33For they embittered his spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips.
33是因他們惹動他的靈， 摩西 用嘴說了急躁的話。
34They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them;
34他們不照耶和華所吩咐的 滅絕外邦人，
35But mingled themselves with the nations, and learned their works;
35反與他們混雜相合， 學習他們的行為，
36And they served their idols, which became a snare unto them;
36事奉他們的偶像， 這就成了自己的網羅，
37Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons,
37把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，
38And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.
38流無辜人的血， 就是自己兒女的血， 把他們祭祀 迦南 的偶像， 那地就被血污穢了。
39Thus were they defiled with their works, and went astray in their doings.
39這樣，他們被自己所做的污穢了， 在行為上犯了邪淫。
40Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against His people, and He abhorred His inheritance.
40所以，耶和華的怒氣向他的百姓發作， 憎惡他的產業，
41And He gave them into the hand of the nations; and they that hated them ruled over them.
41將他們交在外邦人的手裏； 恨他們的人就轄制他們。
42Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were subdued under their hand.
42他們的仇敵也欺壓他們， 他們就伏在敵人手下。
43Many times did He deliver them; but they were rebellious in their counsel, and sank low through their iniquity.
43他屢次搭救他們， 他們卻設謀背逆， 因自己的罪孽降為卑下。
44Nevertheless He looked upon their distress, when He heard their cry;
44然而，他聽見他們哀告的時候， 就眷顧他們的急難，
45And He remembered for them His covenant, and repented according to the multitude of His mercies.
45為他們記念他的約， 照他豐盛的慈愛後悔。
46He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captive.
46他也使他們在凡擄掠他們的人面前蒙憐恤。
47Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks unto Thy holy name, that we may triumph in Thy praise.
47耶和華－我們的上帝啊，求你拯救我們， 從外邦中招聚我們， 我們好稱讚你的聖名， 以讚美你為誇勝。
48Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting, and let all the people say: 'Amen.' Hallelujah.
48耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝是應當稱頌的， 從亙古直到永遠。 願眾民都說：阿們！ 你們要讚美耶和華！
