1(4-1) For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of David. (4-2) Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness, Thou who didst set me free when I was in distress; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
1顯我為義的上帝啊， 我呼籲的時候，求你應允我！ 我在困苦中，你曾使我寬廣； 現在求你憐恤我，聽我的禱告！
2(4-3) O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be put to shame, in that ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah
2你們這上流人哪，你們將我的尊榮變為羞辱 要到幾時呢 ？ 你們喜愛虛妄，尋找虛假，要到幾時呢？ （細拉）
3(4-4) But know that the LORD hath set apart the godly man as His own; the LORD will hear when I call unto Him.
3你們要知道，耶和華已經分別虔誠人歸他自己； 我求告耶和華，他必聽我。
4(4-5) Tremble, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah
4你們應當畏懼，不可犯罪； 在床上的時候，要心裏思想，並要肅靜。 （細拉）
5(4-6) Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
5當獻上公義的祭， 又當倚靠耶和華。
6(4-7) Many there are that say: 'Oh that we could see some good!' LORD, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us.
6有許多人說：誰能指示我們甚麼好處？ 耶和華啊，求你仰起臉來，光照我們。
7(4-8) Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than when their corn and their wine increase.
7你使我心裏快樂， 勝過那豐收五穀新酒的人。
8(4-9) In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for Thou, LORD, makest me dwell alone in safety.
8我必安然躺下睡覺， 因為獨有你－耶和華使我安然居住。
