1A Song of Ascents; of Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
1若不是耶和華建造房屋， 建造的人就枉然勞力； 若不是耶和華看守城池， 看守的人就枉然警醒。
2It is vain for you that ye rise early, and sit up late, ye that eat the bread of toil; so He giveth unto His beloved in sleep.
2你們清晨早起，夜晚安歇， 吃勞碌得來的飯，本是枉然； 惟有耶和華所親愛的，必叫他安然睡覺。
3Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward.
3兒女是耶和華所賜的產業； 所懷的胎是他所給的賞賜。
4As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of one's youth.
4少年時 所生 的兒女 好像勇士手中的箭。
5Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them; they shall not be put to shame, when they speak with their enemies in the gate.
5箭袋充滿的人便為有福； 他們在城門口和仇敵說話的時候， 必不至於羞愧。
