Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
1My son, attend unto my wisdom; incline thine ear to my understanding;
1Wen nutik, lohng kas in lalmwetmet luk ac porongo etauk luk.
2That thou mayest preserve discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
2Na ouiyen moul lom ac fah suwohs, ac kas lom ac fahkak lah oasr etu lom.
3For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil;
3Ngoasron mutan kien siena mukul ac ku in emwem oana honey, ac oalul fwel oana oil in olive,
4But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
4tusruktu ke safla pwar nukewa, mwe keok mukena pa ac tuku kac.
5Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on the nether-world;
5Mutan sac ac kolkomla nu in facl in misa. Inkanek ma el fahsr kac pa inkanek nu ke misa.
6Lest she should walk the even path of life, her ways wander, but she knoweth it not.
6El kuhfla ac alfokfokla liki inkanek in moul, ac el tia akilen acn el fahsr we.
7Now therefore, O ye children, hearken unto me, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
7Lohngyu inge, wen nutik uh, ac tia mulkunla ma nga fahk nu suwos.
8Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house;
8Fahsr liki mutan ouinge uh! Nimet kalukyang nu ke mutunoa sel.
9Lest thou give thy vigour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel;
10Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, and thy labours be in the house of an alien;
10Aok, mwetsac uh ac eisla mwe kasrup lom nukewa, ac ma kom kemkatu nu kac ac fah ma lun siena mwet.
11And thou moan, when thine end cometh, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
11Kom ac fah oan sasao fin mwe oan kiom. Ikom ac monum ac fah mongola,
12And say: 'How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
12ac kom fah fahk, “Efu ku nga koflana etala? Efu ku nga tuh srunga mwet in lutiyu?
13Neither have I hearkened to the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
14I was well nigh in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.'
14Ac inge nga akilenak lah akmwekinyeyuk nga sin mwet nukewa.”
15Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
16Let thy springs be dispersed abroad, and courses of water in the streets.
17Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.
17Lela tulik nutum uh in kapak ac kasrekom, a in tia muta kasru mwet saya.
18Let thy fountain be blessed; and have joy of the wife of thy youth.
19A lovely hind and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; with her love be thou ravished always.
19su tuh kato ac wo lumah oana soko deer mutan. Lela oaskuiyal in mwe akenganye kom. Lela elan kafiskomi ke lungse lal.
20Why then wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of an alien?
20Wen nutik, efu ku kom in sang lungse lom nu sin siena mutan? Efu kom kaukya iniwen mutan kien siena mukul?
21For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He maketh even all his paths.
21LEUM GOD El liye ma nukewa kom oru. Acn nukewa kom fahsr nu we, El liye kom.
22His own iniquities shall ensnare the wicked, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.
22Orekma koluk lun sie mwet koluk oana sie mwe kwasrip. El ac sremla ke sie nwek ke koluk lal sifacna.
23He shall die for lack of instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall reel.
23El misa ke sripen el tia sifacna liyaung orekma lal. Lalfon lal pa kololla nu in kulyuk lal uh.
